• My copy of Windows 7 is suddenly not regarded as authentic by a tool only.

  Since yesterday, all of a sudden my Windows 7 think that it is not authentic. Nothing has changed on my system. This is only one of the tools in the window that still returns this result (I use windows update very well and the diagnosis can tell that it is authentic. Dell offers a new installation of Windows and send me the cd for free (I vigorously opposes paying for something, I would have had if I put my computer together as I normally did), but it seems like overkill for what should be an error in the windows that should have a resolution less painful. I don't really like as a real paying customer who is totally against any form of piracy to drag everything I do over and over again in the meantime.

  That seems to have made at least a part of the work - but there seems to be a problem of remaining registry.

  We are the vSphere upgrade 5.1 to 5.5. We have still a few virtual machines with obsolete tools VMware vSphere 4.  There problems upgrade to vSphere 5.5 and then upgrade VMware Tools on those virtual machines to the version 5.5?  Or should we upgrade VMware Tools version 5.1 first before doing the upgrade to vSphere 5.5? We need plan restarting downtime when upgrading to VMware Tools on those virtual machines and would rather not upgrade VMware Tools twice and planning two stops

  There is no problem, as vSphere ESXi 5.5 supports the VM running older versions of VMware Tools.

  What I'm trying to do is to test the Build repository with best practices, given that this repository is live and made by a group of developers.

• Cannot upgrade VMWare Tools after upgrade to 10.6 and 2.0.6b1

  After the upgrade to 10.5.8 10.6.1 and Fusion 2.0.5 at 2.0.6b1, I have an exclamation point on my VMWare tools, saying they can be upgraded. What WMWare Tools opening and clicking on update of the tools, the window closes, but nothing happens. Even after a reboot. The WM is XP Pro. Any ideas?

  Hi Doc,

  It is possible that the iso is mounted, but not by force. After you have restarted the VM, click again on install VMware Tools in the Virtual Machine menu, then open my computer and watch your optical drive. It should say VMware Tools. Double-click it to start the installation of the VMware Tools.

• VMware Tools after upgrade to ESXi Update 3

  I recently tested the upgrade of one of our hosts of update 2 to 3 update.  After you apply the update using Update Manager virtual machines running on the host State VMware Tools ToolsOK instead of the ToolsOutOfDate show expected.  It seems that there is indeed a new version of the tools installed with the update 3, but virtual Centre is not correctly state.

  All the world has noticed this problem?

• Width tool - only adjust STROKE segment (or width)?

  Hi all!

  In Illustrator CS5, I have some difficulty in getting the width tool to cooperate with me.

  Say I draw a line with a profile of uniform width and set the width on 2pt. Now say that about an inch of the right end of the race, I want to start tapering of the race off to a fine point. To do this, I use the width tool an inch to the right, then set it to the width of the line at that time here 2pt (I'll call that my 'starting point'), so that it is even with the rest of the race. Then I use the width on the right end of the race and set to 0pt, so that the end of the race turns into a point.

  The problem is, when I do that it adjusts the width of the entire line. The rest to 2pt broad starting point and narrows down to a fine point at the end of the race to the right. However, to the left of my starting point, the width of the line increases, up on 2.7pt (sometimes more). I don't want my time to be more 2pt - instead, I want to make 2pt everywhere, until it reaches the starting point where it starts to wide cone.

  So is it possible that I can either:

  (A) set illustrator so that it adjusts only the section of the race between the starting point and the end of the race? (preferred)

  or

  (B) set it so that the race will never more 2pt at some point?

  Sure. Just add a third width control. The behavior is also quite normal - width interpolation based on a formula of spline and you get the same overtaking as with any other splines in artificial intelligence.

• Problem with some of the tools after upgrade.

  I upgraded my windows XP to Windows 7.  After reloading my PS software, I get a strange thing is when I open the Psalm some of my tools (eg. zoom) turn into 3 small icons when I move the cursor over an image.  The tools still work, but it's very distracting.  I don't know what caused it, but nothing I've tried will get back to normal tools.  Anyone has any ideas on this?

  Based on DPI scaling above 100 percent in windows 7 can cause the problem too.

  I think that you went to this subject backwards autour.  You should have started with the desktop view and moved the mobile, not the other way around.

  I know that Adobe says that Captivate takes a first 'mobile' approach to the creation of e-learning, but this statement probably their marketing department came because it sounded good.

• Rectangle Selection tool does not copy (marquee elliptical tool only)

  I can't copy and paste using the Rectangle tool. When I click and try to draw the dotted outline, I just get the coordinates X and Y. When I'm on the ellipitcal selection tool, I get the dotted lines and can

  copy without problem. I was able to use the front Rectangle tool. Don't know what happened to prevent it now. Any suggestions? Thank you!
