  I have problems with the values that aren't autoscaled in a report. I'm referring to a Common value: number of function groovy in a report. The column is defined to use vmware AutoScale Renderer with vFoglight, but it is not suitable to the device not showing the correct device.

  Tried to change the groovy function to return a metric, metric or even a LogicalDisk object, but nothing does not to get the scaling value. Someone at - it an idea of what type of data I need to give the Auto scale converter is converted to the correct size/value?

  and a setting associated with it, which is the selection of several permitted. The name of the parameter is P_BRANCH.
  
  When I view P_BRANCH the top of my report (RTF), it is showing only one value, while I need to display all the selected values like separated by commas.

  I use obiee 11g, one thing I noticed that I have a dashboard that has lots of pages. On every page I have guests.
  The problem I've noticed sometimes is, I used guests from the column, after application guests value in the report which I select the prompt
  value, then I click on apply and then the report is updated and then I go to the next page or can make a sign, sometimes the prompt value is preserved.
  IE in the report of the filter so that I would have used the particular column column is invited, but to my surprise, I see that whereas he could hold some value.
  as the column is worth less then and there still I have him as a guest?

  1. we create a report (via Hyperion Financial reporting tool) in which the user will select a month (through the execution of a command prompt) for which data should be displayed.
  We need calculate and display in the report, A-T-D average until this month for which we have to count the chosen month (for example, our fiscal year starts from July, July count = 1. Y-T-D avg in October = A-T-D value until October/4). Therefore, to get this number, we need capture the value of the prompt of what month the user has selected.
  
  There are several other cases where you need to capture the prompt values selected by the user.
  
  2. can we compare the current value of a dimension with a string in the IfThen() structure in the reporting tool hyperion financial? I was not able to achieve the same thing with success. Also, I need to get the value of a cell to use in an IfThen() State, but it only supports line or column number and not a cell (for example IfThen([1]=0,1,2) and not IfThen([1,B]=0,1,2)).

  Hi NS

  Have you seen the Workforce Planning or Capex Palnning for Hyperion Planning modules? They contain called members calendar TP-Index and Fiscal TP-Index (or something similar), these are members the value dynamic calc and their sole purpose is to return an index value for a given for use in formulas in Essbase reporting period (or as I've used them repeatedly in the reports).

  If you set these to the top then in your report, you can use the command prompt to call the TP-Index for OCTS, for example 4 tax value in one column and the guest even recover your CDA value in a second column then in a third column simply divide one by the other. You could even do the calculation in Essbase so if needed and just get it back.

  I do not think that the IfThen en function a text value.

  The problem is that you use the link or Image object. The idea is that you said that the second report opens in a new window, one of its interesting features. The problem is, guests dashboard are not placed using this object.

  You use the Guid. NAV object. This will move the prompt of the dashboard saved in your PV to the second report.

• How to use the prompt value in the column of the report

  When I try to use the cmdlet get-vmhost against a cluster that has one or no hosts in there, I don't get the number of correct hosts. Here are some lines for this information.

  code above produce white for clusters that has one host for all other groupings that has 2 or several hosts results are correct. I know that there is no point of having a single node cluster or not, but the result does not reflect his decent stats.

  Welcome to the communities.

  For the first part, the number of hosts in a cluster with zero (0) or one 1 host - there are a number of things happening there.

  When the Get-VMHost call returns only one host, and you then try to access to the. Property of the count of $objHosts, you try to access this property on an object VMHost, not an array of length 1 with a VMHost inside.  And, since the VMHost object has no property '. " Count' you get a return of the 'white' or null.

  And when Get-VMHost will return no host, and you are trying to access. Count on $objHosts, you effectively type '$null. "Count", since $objHosts - eq $null at that time.

  Two ways to handle these cases would be to use the Measure-Object cmdlet or explicitly to a table, even if zero or one VMHosts are returned.  As:

  ## using Measure-Object$objHosts = Get-VMHost -Location $objcluster($objHosts | Measure-Object).Count    ## correctly returns 0 or 1 (or greater)...## or## forcing an array, even if 0 or 1 items returned$objHosts = @(Get-VMHost -Location $objcluster)$objHosts.Count        ## correctly returns 0 or 1 (or greater)...
  

  Regarding the behavior you're seeing with the statement Foreach-Object with $objVMs, I suspect that the behavior of the Foreach-Object statement when you're running an empyt null him is at stake here.  In other words, while you can imagine "$arrEmptyArray | % {'Hello'}' to produce anything, happening actually by an interation of the loop (really - try - the).  So to avoid this, you can delete the unnecessary part that stores the output of Get - VM in the variable "$objVMs" and combine the lines to channel the output from Get - VM directly to the Foreach-Object statement, as:

  Get-VM -Location $objCluster | %{    $intNumVMCpus += $_.NumCpu    $intTotVMMemMB += $_.MemoryMB    $intTotVMProvisionedSpaceGB += $_.ProvisionedSpaceGB    $intTotVMUsedSpaceGB += $_.usedSpaceGB}
  

  By the way: while we're updating this code a little, another way that you could get these totals is again using the Measure-Object cmdlet, this time with the parameter - sum, as:

  Get-VM -Location $objCluster | Measure-Object -Sum -Property NumCpu, MemoryMB, ProvisionedSpaceGB, usedSpaceGB
  

  Much more compact and allows just of PowerShell do the work.  Although you then maintain the return of the object of measures, depending on the situation, it is quite practical.

  Do not use the link or Image. Use the Guid. NAV. oppose instead. Link or Image may open in a new window, but the guests are not passed. GUID. NAV. object passes guests, which is what you want, but can not open in a new window.

• Display prompt then navigate to another report

  I have a first report that display values. When I click on the value I navigate to another report. I have a problem. When the second report is open, guests are not display so my second report is too long and irrelevant.

  When you create the second report, you want to create a filter on the column with the value "is invited". Then when the user navigates on the second report, it will be filtered according to the value that drill down on a user.

  For example, if the user explores the activity Id, the second report would have a filter on the activity Id and the operator is set to "Is invited".

  Note: If you do not see your hard drive in the listed readers, the player is not detected by Windows.

  Note: If you receive an error message when the hard disk is activated, you can have a bad hard drive.

• Popup LOV selected the value not in session state

  I have a pop LOV element on a page in my application.  Once the item has been selected in the list presented, I would like to use as part of a select statement.  Select statement failed.  It turns out that the value I want the popup THAT LOV is not being saved in session state, so of course the select statement fails.  I determine this by clicking on the session menu item in the developer bar - the item itself presents itself, but the value is empty.

  What would cause a popup LOV value choice not finish by in session state, and how do I make sure he gets there?

  If you need the value in a SQL report, you can just set "Elements of Page to submit" in your report to your LOV element definition. Otherwise, create a dynamic fire action when your LOV is changed with a set of pl/sql null process action; then set Page elements to send to your LOV element.

  Alternatively you could do it manually with your own function/Manager javascript using the '$s' Apex API by creating a dynamic action that JavaScript is triggered then the loading of the page:

  Changing the value in LOV only updates the HTML code, the element must be submitted to the server so that the value that will be put in session state. The gurus can explain more, but the above methods are what I use depending on the situation.

• vCOps 5.8.4 not reflecting is not some changes to the VMS in vCenter

  Number of things I've noticed since this new facility.  I'm a bit new to the product so go easy on me.

  When I make a change recommended that a computer virtual based on an oversized VM report, for example, the change is not reflected.  The changes took place 24 hours ago, I expect to see that, in a new report, I would think.  Also, if I migrate virtual machines from 1 host to another host that the change is not reflected in the tree.  The only way I could get this show had to restart the GUI admin vCOps.  I have waited days after the vmotions and don't see anything.  Any ideas on that?

  I made a report using reports 6i and I have a field where I would like to display a value of any of my 2 formulas I created, but if one of my formulas brings an empty value, then I want this field to display the value of my alternative, but if the two have a value not empty so I want to show that I want.
  For example:
  I have a field named credit in my layout and I have 2 formula named columns: Formula1 and Formula2. If Formula1 is empty so I want show Formula2, but if the two are not empty, so I want to just display formula1.

  You can have n number of reports, simply use the union all in the dash prompt sql results and this will give you the choice to select any report you want.
