Properties lost updated widget

I created a simple widget using Widget factory. I entered some properties in Captivate and it works fine. However, after update of the widget in Flash and then clicking on update widget in Captivate, my properties are parties (although the change was purely cosmetic and everything remained the same).

A widget can be written in such a way that it would preserve its properties between updates?

A way that comes to mind is that it could use the User Variables to store its properties, and then read them intelligently as values by default after the update (like http://www.infosemantics.com.au/widgetking/2010/11/widget-properties-how-theyre-used/). But it would represent a burden to the course designer to create a variable for each widget instance multiplied by the number of its properties and naming them somehow more precisely. (unless the widget can create User Variables, but can he?)

This is the default behavior that Adobe has designed to update versions of widget.  It clears the property settings in the properties of the Widget dialog box.  And currently Captivate does not widgets create user variables in the main project.

However, there actually is an easy way to work around this problem.  Just add the same (old version) widget to another slide in your project and hide this slide.  Make sure that you insert the widget from the same folder as the other widgets location in the project of the same name. When you want to upgrade to a new version of the widget, copy the new widget version to the location of the original file so that it replaces the old version of the widget, then go to the slide hidden in your project and click on update the widget.

This will update all widgets of the same name that have been inserted in the same original folder (Captivate remembers the source location), but only the widget on your hidden slide would lose its settings properties. All the others in the project will be kept for them.

  • Effect of color in the properties lost when used to break apart.

    Flash CS5

How does one change graph then have the possibility to choose in the properties of color effects options such as alpha or luminosity or hue in properties?

Integrate a file .ai library and then creating a MovieClip of it, I can change alpha of the color or brightness or hue etc. in properties through the option of color effect. Use break hand to remove a simple box of a part of the work and just applied aspects of the color disappear, back to its original appearance. Try the work but still not grouping options now. It is even if I just place the image on stage or open the graphic in the library.

Try it out bring it a different way and to break, then alter the work group then to see if the properties has color effect option for this but still no joy.

Try to convert graphic after editing and giving it a new name, he Faints, nothing visible even if I select this chart in the library.

It seems that the only way to apply color effect in the properties of a chart or a MovieClip is NOT to change its content when placed on the stage. I can't do without needing to modify the program making the AI. In fact adds a box that I don't need, border of the page in this program.

    Envirographics

Color effects can be applied to an instance of a movieClip or button or graphic symbol. When you separate an instance of movieClip, you actually spend this movieClip into its different parts, similar to the edition of the original symbol in the library. These parts, lines, and fills, no longer a movieClip, and so any changes applied to the movieClip will no longer apply.

You can select all the individual parts after your installation of these parts and then using the Edit menu, the value of this new group of lines and fills as a movieClip and reapply the color effect.

Alternatively, if you double-click on the movieClip on the stage, you will be in the editor. Any changes you make in the editor will be displayed in the movieClip when you return to the scene. The effect color will remain.

  • Manual line Fetch, manual line treatment, prevent lost updates

    Hello

I am faced with a simple form that selects from a view and allows the user to update or insert data.

I would like more control over the process of update/insert and so prefer to write my own line of treatment procedures. The examples I've seen on this forum do not include optimistic locking, which makes default APEX. Are there examples of code out there that mimics what Oracle does with the Fetch of automatic line and automatic line treatment that applies the optimistic locking.

I expect to see some kind of sequence of hash, or other means to see what looked like the data before the update included in the extraction. It would then be compared to the data before it is updated. I don't see any additional fields in the page containing this kind of information when I create a form using the wizard.

    Advice would be welcome.

I am an Oracle PL/SQL Developer by profession, but am new to Oracle Application Express.

  • "update of lost' solution for web app?

    Hello:

I am building a web application using a tool that looks like he wants to validate each transaction prior to a call back to the database. I'm looking for the best solution for the "lost update" problem. If I didn't have to be forced to hire I could "select * Update where...» "and lock the line but in this case it would be you will be charged if this tool is committed after the show to make a selection. I've seen where people use OWA_OPT_LOCK.checksum to return a checksum with code data, then when the application moves the line to write back to the DB, the stored procedure checks to make sure that the checksum is the same as the one he gave to the user when the selection has been made. Otherwise, take the line has been altered by someone else and designate this user try again.

Since this amount is (at least on the ROWID version) based on the entire line, I was wondering if I could have just an integer value for each table that gets incremented in a trigger with each update. I spend the entire current value to the application with the result set and compare this number with the current value of this column when you try to update a row.

Because I'm just loking for anything in the line has been changed and not only a subset of the columns, it looks like a better way of doing it rather than calculating a checksum (even if I would need a trigger and sequence all ranks). I was wondering if someone had done this, or if someone sees a problem with this solution.

    Thank you.

As you you post oracle version, I assume you are using already 11g. In this case, you can consider using the 'continuous query notification '. The database is able to inform you of the changes that have taken place and which will influence your query.

  • Windows Vista update causes applications non - IE to be denied access to the internet

I have a laptop Lenovo IdeaPad Y510 unfortunately comes with a Windows Vista Home Premium OS that has caused me a lot of problems with conflicts between her and others, package applications, and now I am forced to use my network at home for route information and documents that must move through the internet by sharing them with another computer Windows XP which is also configured exactly as my Lenovo IdeaPad Y510. I look forward to wean myself off of all MS products, possibly other that MS Office, I use a lot and plays always well for me to wire many years and updates/upgrades. Not the same for MS Windows Vista, however. My experience, similar to many other forum users, has been constantly frustrating over the years I've had to deal with it.  I lost a lot of time dealing with problems caused by code errors in the last set of MS Windows Vista updates that made all my package applications that require internet access unusable.

I contacted the support of Lenovo and support forums for my problem, and they too cannot provide all the answers that address this issue that is causing me to spend much too much time I could use to work at a rate of $65 / hr, so you can see that this is not only an inconvenience.

Before someone points me to the myriad other similar positions for possible answers, let me say that I probably have alread read it and tried all the suggested actions, without success. I need to REAL answers and REAL support, and I need it NOW.  Also, I don't think I should have to pay for the support which has been made necessary by the negligence of MS to test their updates for compatibility issues with the popular, free package critical applications for the safety of MS OS system of a user, such as AVG Free antivirus, ZoneAlarm Free firewall personal , OR who are competitors for their navigation on the web or by email client applications. I am not now under the other another firewall that MS Vista firewall having had to uninstall my firewall ZoneAlarm Free. I even had one of my other previously compatible and effective anti-malware/spyware apps, AdAware, uninstall Lavasoft. No matter what I did, which was suggested to me by MS resources support or Lenovo support resources, this problem, which began shortly after the last round of all the months of downloads to fix security and facilities, persists and cost me more money in revenue and lost time every day.

How to get Vista recovery Media or the Vista recovery Partition on your computer back to factory settings.

There is no Vista free download legal available.

Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.

See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.

Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...

Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.

Ask them if you can also make recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.

They will tell you how to do this.

Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.

Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

  • Satellite C660-15 cannot install the update of wireless lan

I receive a notice indicating that my wireless lan driver should be updated. I followed the instructions and know which unit my laptop (Realtek: RTL8188CE) and download the appropriate driver software. It appears as a zip file in my downloads folder. I unzip and then what?

Read the instructions Dutch (although I prefer English on notice that download and update the driver) it is said to look for a readme file (they are all very old, since 2010, none in 2011). Really they don't say anything about what to do. In Dutch, he also says to click on SETUP. I find one that is marked as an application, so I double click that.

It runs, and then on the screen it says something like: "the software may or may not have installed correctly". So I click on it to install it again. Same thing.

I had no idea if it installed correctly or not, so I clicked on the features of network/system/control panel (?) / Realtek... and right-click to see which version of the device driver is there and it has not changed.

So, what should I do to get this new driver works correctly?

I tried several times and it doesn't work right. It becomes very frustrating and there seems to be no way to contact Toshiba support, other than through this forum (which is users rather than support from Toshiba, I think).

    Help, please.

Try to install the driver using the old-school method.

Enter the card WLAN (Device Manager) properties > driver > Update driver and browse to the RTL_Driver folder. Choose the folder 7 x 64 or 7 x 78, according to the version of the OS you are using.

I think that it will install the driver.

By the way: If your WLAN is working properly you should not install this driver.
