  AFAIK the Qosmio has also keyboard backlight and volume wheel series. Did you check that?

  But like Garrett said the volume button works if Windows is started. On my Qosmio F50 I can only use if Windows is started, but normally I don t need this feature before Windows is not started.

• Unable to get power and volume icon on the taskbar.

  I lost my volume and power icon taskbar (they were there).  When I go to the area 'Turn icons on and outside', these two are dimmed and it wont let me turn on them (Windows 7).  I don't have hidden them... what should I do?

  (b) in the Notification area, click Customize.

  c. for the icon of power and volume, select Show icon and notifications. The icon remains visible in the taskbar in the notification area, and notifications are displayed.

  I can't get my iPhone 6 it sounds only vibrates volume is up and about and there "vibrate with ring" could not find where I put a ring to shut up. Airplane mode is turned off

  Check the mute switch on the side of the iPhone. It is located just above the Volume buttons.

  Also try settings > sounds > < RINGER AND ALERTS > > move the slider to the MAX > change with buttons > Toggle Off

  This will prevent you from changing the ring volume when you use other applications. (for example YouTube, Safari)

  It is the first of my laptop which seems to offer not to display these key elements and it is very sinuous to find the standard 3 + 4 for the volume keys and F6 + F7 for brightness, especially in an environment dark.
