• Where are my PSE mode options?

  I just started using Photoshop elements to work 14. It was fine for about 2 weeks. Today I noticed that the mode in the upper bar with 'open', "elive" 'guided' etc. 'expert' is partially spent. I can see the top of the text and click on it, but I can't seem to bring the rest of the text.

  I tried to reset my % the size of the screen (it was 100%), tools to reset and restart Photoshop and my computer. Nothing it overlaps and there is no arrow or anything appearing with which I can expand the area. My tools on the left hand side had changed in a single line so missed me some options in getting them back, I noticed the problem above - would - something to do with it?

  It is a problem, I can work around, but I would really not. Anyone who can help, thank you in advance.

  You can try in the pse 14 editor will window > reset panels and see if that makes a difference.

  If not, you can reset the pse 14 preferences by going to Edit > preferences > general, reset the preferences on the next launch , and then restart the editor PES 14.

  

• Album does not save it properly; can't see status of backup in the preferences; cannot disconnect.

  I use PSE 9, currently on the Mac (moved from PES 9 on PC about two months ago). I noticed that the last album, which I have added to the PSE has yet the indication of backup head double arrow next to it, and these images are indeed not in my online account. Generally, this happened on my PC, as I click the account as in PES, enter my password and no matter what I would say that it was incorrect. I'd hit him then "disconnect", re - enter my credentials with the same password I had used, and the system would begin then successfully back up again.

  Unfortunately on the Mac, when I hit the "Sign out" link in the dialog box asking my password (after clicking on my link "welcome...") ("in PSE), he doesn't sign me out - he paused for 20-30 seconds with the color wheel, then just shows that I'm always connected. If I try to go to preferences-> backup, I get a message that there was a problem and I should re - open the preferences later. If I force the background backup process to stop by rt - by clicking on the icon in the Mac menu bar, it indeed closes correctly; However, when I reactivate it is PSE under preferences, as soon as I touched the checkbox, it tries to connect to my account online, and then gives me the same error saying I should «...» Close preferences and try again. »

  Can someone give me some advice as to why a) the backup in PSE 9 finally seems to fail and must be disconnected / reconnected b) why the "Déconnexion" link does not work, or why my password is not accepted within PSE only?

  Yes, I was able to connect via a browser (or same PES - just not the Organizer!) all this time and I use only about half of my space.

  I also posted on another forum PES and was directed to the solution - I had to remove the com Adobe.Pulse.plist file in my user library path and voila' I was able to connect inside the PSE Organizer and re - start the backup synchronization.  You don't know why the problem occurred, but this fixed!

• PES 9 - Photo Downloader is missing the option "Advanced"?

  The PES 9 Photo Downloader seems to have lost some of the features as the version 8 of PSE.

  Version 8 of PSE has an "Advanced" option that displays thumbnails of all the files on the selected media/device, and you can select the one you wanted to download. You can also insert base metadata in each downloaded file.

  The PES 9 uploader doesn't seem to have the "Advanced" option and requires you to download ALL the files to the selected media/device and has no option to add metadata.

  PSE 9 preferences has a section for the uploader. This includes the weather or not to do the correction automatically and weather or not to do automatic downloads to specific devices. There is an option in the preferences to possess a device use 'see APD (standard) dialogue', I don't see any options for manual loading 'Advanced '.

  Even the help of PSE 9 said it is supposed to be a button 'Advanced' on the Downloader.

  Is this correct, or am I missing something?

• I don't have any Javascript code in FIREFOX (even if it is enabled in preferences) but have it in Safari. What I can do in pse?

  I have Mac OS X (Version 10.6.8). I last Firefox AND have already tried to download Javascript TWICE. Why have I not
  JavaScript on Safari, but not Firefox? How can I fix this pse?

  A lot of JavaScript functionality was killed in Firefox 7.0.1 and this includes type it or paste javascript into the location bar (address bar). You had to jump through hoops to Firefox 6 - now there is no viable solution for a lot of what we do.

  Alternatives within Firefox that could allow you to interfere with that by are quite insufficient, I would stick with what works for you, for the moment,

  • JavaScript command works not in the address bar. Firefox Support Forum | Firefox help

  6 javascript in the url bar from Firefox works with a principal null for security reasons. In other words, that it is almost off. You need a bookmarklet or an add-on for a workaround. See question 871828.

  The main features of the AwesomeBar of Firefox have been compromised so that the search for bookmarks in the sidebar bar, library or the location is not reliable.
  You could always turn off JavaScript and had some limitations if you wait or ran into trouble before, but now Firefox works just fine and it is all the more infuriating when you find out that most of the disorders resulted from stripping the code that translates errors slowing things down and now in the blocking of the features you would expect in a browser.

• Preferences for PSE 8.0 file

  In Photoshop CS, there was a file that would sometimes get corrupted and do minor havoc with the program.  I think it was a file preferably any.  I wish I could tell you more now... In any case, there is such a file in the elements?  I want to delete it or edit it to fix a scratch disk that I have.  Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.  Thank you!

• PSE 14 fit to the screen does not

  I've recently upgraded to PSE PSE 12 14 (on my Mac mini). Just after I upgraded the "fit to screen" in the menu display, stopped using the full editing window. Also when you open an image it didn't open not as large as possible. Then, something happened to this problem (I don't know what changed). Now a few weeks later it broke again. When I open an image there is a grey border and I can expand it at least two times before that it exceeds the size of the editing window. Using "Fit to the screen" makes the smaller image that the editing window. What is the problem and how can I solve this problem?

  How do fit you on the screen?

  You'll see > on screen, by double clicking on the hand tool icon in the Toolbox, Cmd-0 or...?

  Maybe reset 14 pse preferences will solve the problem.

  Go to the Adobe Photoshop elements editor > Preferences > general, click Reset on the next launch preferences and restart the editor PES 14.

  

• Color profile question from lightroom to PSE 12.

  After changing for Windows 10 I find that the color profile is deleted when opening a file from Lightroom 6 to 12 of PSE.  I also get an error message when you try to load a 12 for 8.5 RAW update.  The error reads U44M1I210.  If anyone can help with the problem.

  Ok. What is the setting in Lightroom under preferences > external editing > color space? Here you have the choice between sRGB, Adobe RGB and ProPhoto. The default is ProPhoto, and unless you have changed, it is how it opens in the external editor (in your case, PES).

  If you view while in an another viewer of photos without color management, color will be away (dark and desaturated).

  Now, there may be color settings of the specific items that can strip or convert this profile, so I would still recommend that go. All I can do here is to take the floor for Lightroom and Photoshop.

• Power chose PS or PSE as a publisher of LR

  I currently teach LR and can make deeper changes with PSE14 by pressing CTRL-E, which I am competent enough to.  My subscription to Adobe CC gives me right to the PS, which I want to explore, but if I download, LR will detect it is there and LR will then allow me give me to always select PSE for editing if I wanted to, while I get used to the PS interface?  from now on the list of the "external editor preference" LR PSE as the go-to the editor, with a task for an additional external editor.  What will happen if full PS is installed?  Thank you

  Hi Jeffrey,.

  You can have as many additional editors as you like in Lightroom and quite possibly that if PS supplants PSE, then PSE moves in position as long as the secondary Editor (accessible with Ctrl-Alt-E). Here, on my system, I have following OnOne as secondary, but they have 10 PSE and a number of other publishers available in my list (see screen capture below).

• Printing of contact in PSE Mac 14 sheets

  When I try to print contact sheets, I get a message that says "operation could not be completed" and then everything freezes. I have to restart the PES editor program. I have 14 elements PSE. My operating system is El Capitan 10.11.4. What I am doing wrong?

  Click on your desktop, and in go menu click Open the folder and paste in what follows and press Go

  ~/Library/preferences/Adobe/plugins/Adobe Board contact II PSE12/elements

  Who must open the required folder and you should see the

  Adobe Board Contact PSE12 Pref.

  Just drag the Adobe Contact Sheet PSE12 Prefs to the trash.

  Don't spill coffee on your keyboard.  I did and now it seems that I'm doomed.  Convicted because I didn't have my data and files saved?  NO, because I have all the files backed up, including my backup files and catalog collection Photoshop and of many photo 6 000 extended.   I'm doomed because (silly me!) I was perfectly happy with PSE v5 and never buy updates.  Why would I be if I had all the features I needed and had survived 2 transitions of operating system that the evil empire imposed on me.  (previously only the evil empire)

  The computer ruin has been dedicated to my Photos, so I bought the same computer (a refurb) with the same OS (Win 7 Pro 64 bit).  I went to Adobe .com, signed into my account and confirmed that my PSE v5 has been recorded (good) and then, Opps!   Not only I can't find this v5 is not available (file server is not available, but I suspect that the software is) but, no more support (they send me here) and my catalog file (file type NO dowry) was changed in Version 6 and if you want to convert your pre 6 catalog had to do this in version 6 , which, oh by the way is no longer available.

  Fast forward through the details of sessions 5 'chat' with Support from Adobe and sales.   Some of them for hours. The best they can do is advise me to buy 14 PES.

  Now, I realized what is happening when you depend on software to filter and manage files with 6 000 unrecognizable names.  I got here by accident or design?

  Resigned to my fate I went to the Adobe order page, came out of the old credit card and...  Not yet, I have still a few question.

  Question: 1 - I can buy an upgrade instead of the complete installation if my new PC does not have the V5?

  Question 2. -V14 will be use to convert my catalog?

  Answer: They can't.  Go to the forums.

  Issue 3: if I am satisfied with the v14 I'll be able to keep or if they pull the "upgrade or die ' on me?  (I don't have the phrase like this ) J )

  Answer: He will be allowed through 2 upgrades.  Note: they have been very reluctant to answer this question and I have insisted that I would not order unless I had a response.  I don't think they know the answer.

  By default, the catalog records 'hidden '. You must set your preferences folders to "Show hidden files" in Windows Explorer.

  Yes, you can use the Explorer to move the folders from catalog where you want (except in the same folder of your multimedia files tree).

  Yes, from the browser or from the Catalog Manager.

  3. should I keep the whole folder structure?

  If you mean that the structure of the catalog files, you normally don't change anything, except to remove the thumbnail cache. Normally, removal of other components as the .pseXXdb database file is possible, most is rebuilt automatically. In desperate cases, keeping only the file .pseXXdb can save most of your organization and the marking.

  4. can I open the application directly from the catalog file?

  Yes, by double-clicking the catalog.pse13db file.

  5. can I I name the Parent folder (one containing the catalog and other folders) all I want and get rid of the excess above records.

  Yes, but you may need to use Catalog Manager to navigate to the changed location.

• How to uninstall PSE 6, cannot find 'uninstall '?

  PES 6 opens and then closes. I think it is causing problems with my Macbook Pro. I have vs 14 to install but want to get 6 off my laptop.

  It can not find an uninstall option, if people said online there is a. I searched all the elements and for uninstall files. I have a file installation, but when I open it and enter my pw, nothing happens. Disappears from the display. I thought he could take me to uninstall, but not.

  If apple did not actually use the installation media to install PES 6, but rather just transferred the PES existing 6 one Mac to another, so that's probably why pse uninstaller 6 does not.

  You can try to reset the preferences from PES 6 to see if that stops the noise.

  Hold down the shift + command + Option keys right after the beginning of the launch of the EP 6

  Contact sheet II does not not in PSE 14 on Mac (Yosemite). Error message:

  If you go to

  (user) Library\Preferences\Adobe\Plugins\Adobe Board Contact II PSE12\Elements

  and remove the

  Adobe Board Contact PSE12 Pref.

  
  

  If all goes well, you should be able to use the plugin Contact Sheet II again.

  To view your library, the user in the menu go to the Finder press the Option key, then you should see library listed in the menu to reach.

• Try to disable the PSE / EP 13

  I'm trying to disable both products from a laptop computer to reinstall on another.

  There is no button 'disable' to the title of help in the editor.  There is a "disconnect" but several times, I click on it and nothing happens.  It is not grayed out.

  I can't open the editor of Premiere Elements - it just will not open.  I do not want to reinstall or to do anything of your time like that because I want to just disable and wipe this portable HD.

  No chat from the options on the site, because Adobe.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  For someone else who struggles with this, here is how I managed to solve the problem.

  I downloaded and installed the creative cloud to the computer application laptop problem - one that I could not sign.  Once the program was installed, I went through the preferences and signed on this computer.  I restarted the computer.

  At this point, my other computer feeling that I was connected to too many computers.

  I returned the computer to the problem and found that none (PSE and EP 13) adobe programs open.  I advanced and uninstalled PSE 13 (understand I may need to reinstall to disconnect) and restarted the computer.

  At this point, I tried my other computer, and now he knew I had disconnected the computer problem.

  Problem solved.

• Elements13 installation to a new machine and transfer preferences

  
  I will transfer from a Windows 8 to 10 Windows machine soon and need to reinstall 13 items. I wonder if someone can tell me how/where to find the files that would allow me to transfer my preferences for the new machine (normally there would be a '.ini' file or something similar with this information, but I can't seem to find it).  Also, I assume that the Organizer will be charged from scratch once I have transfer my photos on the new computer - which would be correct?

  Yes, by using the backup/restore method is the ONLY way to transfer your tree picture on another computer (or disk or main folder) while keeping the links with your moved catalog.

  The backup folder is not a simple copy of your files. It stores your (renowned) files in a single folder with a file backup.tly which allows to recreate the same tree structure as before.

  You choose:

  -keep the original location

  -to reproduce the the folder tree on the "personalized" location (new drive, main folder...)

  -to reproduce a slightly simplified folder tree

  If your catalog deals with multiple drives, restore will recreate different folders for each drive (keeping the tree of folders under the root of the drive).

  Any other method will cut the files when they are moved to another computer, and you'll "reconnect", which is doable, but is not a pleasant task.
