PSE8 problems with raw photos.

I: PSE8, Windows 7, camera Canon S95.

I downloaded the new 6.2 plugin and installed VERY carefully following the instructions on the Adobe site. The plugin displays the Help/About Plugin path / Camera Raw.  My raw files (.) CR2 files) will not be open in PSE. any incorrect file type, an error message appears.  Raw files can be opened in the software supplied with the camera Canon.

Any ideas?

Thank you

The s95 files cannot be read by the 6.3 camera raw update, which

is not compatible with pse8.

You can use the canon software or download the 6.3 dng converter.

which converts the s95 files to the DNG format pse8 opens.

  • Problems with the photos in El Capitan-cant app drag in other applications and can not find the photos when using Word

I feel very disappointed with the new iMac (27 inch high range) I bought specifically so that I can work quickly with video editing - BUT who currently my old iMac with Snow Leopard on my desk and still use it to create documents in Word, etc, among other things. He really miss the old iPhoto - all about it. Not like the new photos app at all and I was wondering if I can install iPhoto on the new computer? We're stuck with the white background of the screen and do not like the new editing panel either - I had my screen tonic to a shade of gray that is visually not too exhausting to watch as the white. Is there a way to customize the color of the workspace I have forgotten?

I'm not also able to drag and drop photos from the app directly in other applications - this was a great feature that could work very quickly. Can't believe that Apple went backwards with this? Or am I still missed something once?

Also, now, I tried to create a new document in Word and when you open the photo browser to import an image from photos in the document, there is no pictures - all other media is accessible but no pictures, not so to drag picture on the desktop then document - once again, having Apple went backwards , or I'm going crazy?

Hoping that I do not regret this purchase very expensive!

A beautiful (and expensive) iMac. Congratulations.

The latest version of iPhoto still works in (a little hard to get 'quiet' Photos.app) ElCapitan, see a lot of discussions here.

Drag-and - déposer is depending on the applications. There is still work, as usual.

Word is updated to the latest? I heard there were a few problems, but they should be solved now.

  • problem with printing photos

    Hello world!
I'm new to this forum, and I need your help...

the other day, I bought a new Hp "All-in-one" printer Photosmart 5520, and I wanted to print a few photos on special photographic paper. The first problem is that my photo paper is not an A4 format, it is smaller... and I tried both to remove the other papers, leave it alone; and put the piece of paper above the rest. It didn't work anyway... I also changed the printing settings, but nothing has changed. What can I do? Thanks for the help!

Thanks for the quick response. Yes, it must be manually enabled with the power button if he was fed to the down/shut-off valve in order to take the print commands.

  • Problem with printing photos on HP PhotoSmart 7520

    Montain Lion 10.8.1 operating system

I want to print some black and white photos on plain paper in A4 format and each time it prints with strips of about 1.5 cm wide along the paper in different shades of black (e.g. pale and dark).

I cleaned and aligned the print head, but the problem persists.  Even when I print the print quality diagnostics page, ITO shows the same bands on the color blocks.

This is what it looks like:

    Can someone please

    Thank you very much

    Tolo

    Hi Tolo,

Thanks for the post.  Good shooting T BTW.  If we are witnessing this kind of printing a diagnostic page internal quality, we can eliminate a problem specific file/SW, and given that the bands are very regular in spacing, I suspect either the print cartridge black (if make true black in grayscale) or the print head.  Additionally, make sure that you are using genuine HP supplies as re-filled cartridges can also produce this type of fault. Check the link below, it is very comprehensive but offers some excellent steps to solve these types of problems print quality and let us know the results.  Good luck!

  • Problem with Microsoft Photo Editor

I have thousands of photos on my PC (Vista/IE8) I could see without problem for years. But suddenly, even if I'm still able to import new pictures, when I try to open them I get the following message: Microsoft Photo Editor - error reading the file.

But this seems to apply only to photos, including those that I have seen in the past, taken on my current camera, a Panasonic Lumix DMC - FS7. Everything else seems to be affected.

Also, oddly enough, I can see the photos in slideshow mode!

    I would appreciate a solution.

    Hello

Microsoft Photo Editor is supplied with Microsoft Office 97 and the stand-alone versions of Microsoft Word 97 and Microsoft PowerPoint 97. Microsoft Photo Editor is installed when you perform a custom installation, or full from the CD-ROM.

  • Problems with importing photos using Windows - Photo files are corrupted in the Gallery windows

I use Windows to import images from my camera (Canon Rebel EOS) to the computer (HP) and display them in the Windows Photo Gallery.  Recently, the photos in the Gallery become corrupt once downloaded, which means they download fine then when I open "Images" to see in the Gallery, they photos each are corrupted with ribbons of various colors, or the image is cut into strips to compensate.  It didn't happen when I uploaded the same photo files to another computer so I know that is not the fault of the camera or individual files.  I scanned for a virus (I use AVAST).  Can I fix this, or is there any other software I should use to download files?  I'm just a MOM ol ' ordinary looking to transfer the zillions of photos that I take my children.  Help!

  • Problems with RAW converter

    Can someone help, please?

My camera is a Canon SX 50, which is able to take pictures in JPEG, RAW and JPEG and RAW.

I want to take photos in RAW.

I use Photoshop 5.5 and Windows Vista Home Premium.

The Adobe's DNG Converter lists Dng Converter 7.3 for my camera.  But I can't seem to get my

photos in the converter before transfer to photoshop

I can not for now allow me to update my computer

    Suggestions, please?

The dng converter is working on a file folder, not an individual file. If you need to put all the files you want to convert into a single folder. Registration of Camera Raw for this camera says that the extension should be CR2. CRW is an old format. I wonder if that is the question. Just for fun. change the extension of the file to CR2 and try to convert. I duplicate the file first and play with a duplicate file.

  • Problem with the photo app

I have can´t open my photo app, it just says: "library of closing". What can I do to fix my problem and review my photos?

    ellibelli wrote:

I have can´t open my photo app...

There is no application called 'photo' which is made by Apple.

    • What version of Mac OS X are you running?
    • What is the exact name of the app?
    • Are there any other symptoms that you don't have not told us?
    • Have you tried restarting your Mac?
  • Performance problems with large Photo library size

Did anyone seen performance issues when the library becomes too great? I used to keep a few different libraries, since some of my libraries are already 1 TB. So, if I merge into one, the file will be 2-3 Tb when it's said and done. Anyone know if it is recommended to size limits or is it more important with El Capitan. Obviously, the response time will be affected by the hard drive and the speed of the laptop, but before you begin merging into one file libraries, I wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions/recommendations or other related advice. Thank you!

It is not documented, but how many pictures a library can contain pictures, you can migrate photos iPhoto libraries and libraries Aperture, so you should be able to store at least 1 000 000 photos in a photo library.

I haven't noticed any performance issue with a large library of Photos.  My largest library has 40000 photos.

During the regular work with the size of the library is not serious at all, as long as you want to keep enough free storage on your system drive. Don't let the photo library fill in your system drive. Keep at least 10 GB free at all times, better more.

However, there are rare occasions when the size will be discussed:

    • When you need repair library, it will take more time, if the library is large.
    • When you first migrate your libraries of photos, the initial treatment will take longer - scanning for faces and places, creating thumbnails.
    • If you use iCloud library synchronization can take a long time for a large library.
    • Too many smart albums can make pictures a little slower, if the library is large.  I noticed a drop in performance, after that I created 200 smart albums with a search for text across the entire library.
