Publish the RSS feeds of Sites WebCenter

Hello

I'm new to the scene of WebCenter and we are currently investigating the opportunity to use the WebCenter Sites into a new project. The latest version will be used.

One of the requirements is that the news FEED are published content. This feature is available out of the box to WebCenter Sites or is - this something reuires a custom implementation.

Thank you

Gabriel.

Hello

We also had the same requirement as yours where rss wss by using content of WCS. We had set up something custom to achieve this.

You can do the following:

1. determine what type of assets will be used to generate RSS feeds and which attributes.

2. create CSElement which will retrieve the desired asset content type and the output of this element must be in the form of XML RSS.

3. entry of site create and associate the cselement above. Make this entry of site as a wrapper so that it can be called via a browser. Also add the parameter

CS. ContentType : text/xml

in site entry that says browser the output of this element will be XML.

After that, you can now call this entry Site via a browser as www.example.com/cs/Satellite?pagename=

Kind regards

  • How to change the RSS feed without losing subscribers

I am currently using blubrry to download my podcasts. I'm not the host through them, but rather on my own site and using my feed to send to iTunes (http://racingdudes.com/feed/podcast/). However, I spent to SoundCloud to start my hosting podcasts. I added my last three episodes of the podcast on SoundCloud and they integrated into my website. However, how can I change the RSS feed of my original stream to my new SoundCloud feed without losing all my subscribers and sides?

My first thought was to connect to iTunes Connect and my current RSS is such a list, swap out for my new. Which will work? Is it that simple? It seems that I read many ways outdated, complicated to do this process just make sure, if this is the newest, easiest way?

    Appreciate your help. Thank you!

In order to keep your subscribers, you must either add the "itunes: new-feed-url' to the original feed, or launch a redirect 301 on your server: ideally both." These will change to the new food store and also your subscribers will be transparently redirected - they won't even notice. The complete method is explained in detail here: http://wilmut.uk/move

If you are unable to change the power supply and also cannot implement a 301 redirect, then using Podcasts Connect will redirect the store but not subscribers redirect. In this case, the only option is to include an announcement in the last podcast on old food (you could do a special episode) announcing the change and ask people to re-subscribe from the shop page.

  • Question about the RSS FEED

    Hi all

I have a question for the community? We had the following API libraries in JavaFX 1.2.x and 1.3.x:
    import javafx.io.http.HttpRequest;
    import javafx.data.pull.PullParser;
    import javafx.data.xml.QName;
However, since the creation of JavaFX 2.x.x that we do not seem these libraries, have we lost now this feature
get the RSS feeds through JavaFX natively? It doesn't seem to be any documentation / tutorials on this subject since the
release of JavaFX 2.x.x I can find Google search? If there is another mechanism on how to do it now I would be grateful
some tips or advice on how to approach this topic.

    Kind regards

Hello. We do not have this feature more in javafx2.0. Instead, in javafx 2.0, you can use the java REST API.
You can do an HTTP (get, post, put, delete) using this API.

  • RSS feeds: create a filter in the RSS feed

    Hello

I would like to know how it is possible to create a filter in a RRS feed, which seems possible on the subject of "account web applets. In fact, you can select an account field (e.g. % name % for the account name). But I don't know how technically integrate this string (% name %%%) in the URL of the stream SIPP to trigger filtering.)

  • I can't find a list of the RSS FEED so I can remove a. I import into Outlook, where I deleted the flow, but can not reload the RSS.

When I use Explorer, there is a place that lists all the my FLOW RSS I can delete, open, etc... I can't find a similar place on FireFox.

There is an RSS feed that I have download problems on my Outlook, and I would like to remove the workflow & recharge. (I deleted my Outlook.).

Any suggestions on where I can find a list of my RSS FEED?

Firefox does not have a specific list of items in RSS feed.

Those who are treated like all the other favorites and are managed in the bookmarks (library) Manager.

    • Bookmarks > show all bookmarks

IE stores each favorite as a separate folder on the hard drive and probably need a special treatment for its elements of flow, but Firefox stores the bookmarks and history in a file places.sqlite database.

So if you have not placed the RSS all items in a folder of bookmarks or otherwise marked then them it will be difficult to locate them all.

  • Is it possible to implement the RSS FEED like IE to get photos instead of links

On Internet Explorer when you pull up a RSS feed for photobucket it shows you a scrolling to the bottom of the list of the photo. Firefox gives you links which will take you to the page of the person. In time need me to follow a link, I can scroll through 25 photos on IE.

Is there a way to fix this?

Usually, I pick up messages on Muse forums via RSS. The subjects and extracts are, but if I open the link to the discussion it returns an error prohibited.

    Hi David

It is a known due to some system maintenance issue and we are working on getting it fixed, the problem is with redirects so for the moment, you can Google search links by copying the link and then click on the search result link or paste the link anywhere where its clickable and then try to access the url.

  • 1 at the level of the site RSS feed: aggregate the items/Apps/ads

    Hi all

I am trying to create a RSS channel that pumps on all the latest updates from three areas on my site:

    -Articles of web app

    -Blog

    -Ads (new)

I see how to do a channel, but when I fiddle around with adding content to this channel, I see individual options such as adding elements of web application that are currently powered. I just want to add the active elements of web application, announcements and blog posts, I want to add all THE passes, present and future items in the RSS feed.

Is there a way to do this? How to get the address for food?

Thanks for any help.  I ignored the world of RSS for too long.

    -Brian

Unless something has changed recently which I am not aware, only blog

positions are sindicated automatically. All other elements must be added

manually to the rss feed from their inception.

  • Why did the Java script works on my work for Internet explore, but not for Firefox RSS feeds?

  • I have post Podcast RSS feeds the posts back to subscribers, but NOT in the iTunes store... why?

I have an account for my Podcast. I publish the RSS and posts go to the each subscriber of iTunes accounts but do not publish in the iTunes store. I changed servers recently and have, in my opinion, done all correct use for my stream change... help

    Hello.

If you choose a new workflow, you must:

redirect subscribers to your new workflow

notify the iTunes Store, you have a new stream.

The two steps above are complemented by a redirect:

Set up a 301 redirect on your server for your old power supply.

Add the itunes: new-feed-url tag to your old feed. Example: http://example.com/new-rss-feed.xml

Know how to do that in the section "Change your RSS Podcast Feed URL" here: http://www.apple.com/itunes/podcasts/specs.html

    Please share:

    The old RSS feed

    The new RSS feed

    URL of your iTunes.

It seems that this has happened:

First RSS feed-> Submitted to iTunes > user subscribed--> user gets new episodes

Second RSS feed-->? iTunes has been notified? --> iTunes doesn't new episodes.

Second RSS feed--> users get new episodes

I recommend the deletion of your podcasts in the box my Podcasts in iTunes Desktop (to avoid confusion).

Then, search the iTunes Store for the podcast put you to the test and you subscribe.

In my Podcasts, click on the podcast > copy the link.

  • RSS feed of component in the portal generator

    Hello world

I created a page in the portal builder where I want to display RSS feeds from a public url data. I moved the flow RSS of the dialog component and provided the url of RSS feeds.

But at runtime, it displays all the data - instead, I get the foll. error:

Could not get the RSS feed due to the expiry of the connection after 3 seconds. Provide a higher timeout interval.

    Lack to supply other parameters?

    Thank you.

    Hello

To activate the sons of new RSS external WebCenter portal or Portal Framework application, you must configure a proxy server.

A proxy server is also required if you want to view external links in the activity flow task flows. RSS and the activity stream share the same proxy server settings.

You can configure a proxy server using Fusion Middleware control or WLST. For more information, see Section 8.2.4, "set up a Proxy Server."
