RSS feed of component in the portal generator

Hello world

I created a page in the portal builder where I want to display RSS feeds from a public url data. I moved the flow RSS of the dialog component and provided the url of RSS feeds.

But at runtime, it displays all the data - instead, I get the foll. error:

Could not get the RSS feed due to the expiry of the connection after 3 seconds. Provide a higher timeout interval.

Lack to supply other parameters?

Thank you.

Hello

To activate the sons of new RSS external WebCenter portal or Portal Framework application, you must configure a proxy server.

A proxy server is also required if you want to view external links in the activity flow task flows. RSS and the activity stream share the same proxy server settings.

You can configure a proxy server using Fusion Middleware control or WLST. For more information, see Section 8.2.4, "set up a Proxy Server."

  • Change default model navigation in the portal generator

    Hello

    I develop a portal 11.1.1.8 Webcenter portal using the portal generator. I created a new Navigation model.  Now, I want to assign as the model of default navigation for the portal, I had created.

    When I go to the link to Administration-> settings, Navigation is not editable. Other things like Page Template, Skins etc can be changed. Is there a way I can change the value by default model of Navigation for my portal?

    According to the link here: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E29542_01/doc.1111/e27603/portadv_admin.htm#CHDDEIIA

    The navigation model for a particular site cannot be changed after creation. Instead, we can change the default Navigation model based on our needs.

    Best regards

    You have to the websites of third parties to do so, this is the one that generates the code for you...

    Open this page: http://www.rss-info.com/en_rssinclude-simple.html
    Scroll down and in the RSS URL: enter the source or rss feed.

    http://RSS.news.Yahoo.com/RSS/Internet

    Select java script and click the Create button HTML, copy the code into the HTML Code box.

    Now, in the dashboard obiee, object to add TEXT, click Properties and copy the code HTML above and check 'Contains a HTML markup', save the table edge and you wills ee, the RSS train in dashboard.

  • How to cancel selection application RSS feed button?

    I checked the box that says use the application chosen for each RSS feed subscription. Unfortunately, the new version of Mail (Yosemite) does not FEED THAT like the previous version. now, I get an error message whenever I try to subscribe. How can I solve this problem. Thank you very much

    You can read the article of Web feeds in Firefox > Preferences > Applications

  • RSS feed of bookmark bar randomly displays only a shadow, no menu

    OK, I have a strange problem which just started occurring after a reload of the OS. When one look at my RSS feed pull-down in the bookmarks bar, they will often open 100% transparent, the only thing visible is the shadow that surrounds it. The menu works always; I can even click on things and it will bring to the top of the page, but as I don't see what it is, I have no idea what I'm clicking. I can get it visible again by the closing and reopening of the drop-down list (sometimes it takes a couple tent).

    Nothing has changed in my profile of browser since I recharged last windows. I reloaded Windows (64-bit 7) once because my secondary HARD drive controller crashed on me and I rebooted windows thinking there is a faulty driver stuck in the operating system (that and get rid of the extra junk during the past years), but later found the motherboard was bad, so I replaced and recharged again (primary is 2 x SSD Raid 0). I am now under this second cooldown and loaded my profile in the same way as before, and I'm getting the question.

    To save and load the profile I did the following: FireFox menu > help > troubleshooting information > Show (profile folder) and then closed FF and copied all the content of the folder in a backup directory. Reloading of the profile is the same process, but copy the files in the profile folder after the closure of FF. I did this on the first reload as well and had no problem, but for some reason any I'm flowing in it now. Seems to happen more in loads of heavy file (such as copying to USB HDD RAID of SSD) transfer. Not really sure if this is related or not.

    Anyway, no idea why this might be implemented?

    Found the problem after messing around with the personas for a bit. It seems that one I used had got corrupted somehow. I have removed the theme then downloaded from the site of personas, and it seems to have solved the problem. Don't know why he affected others while...

    He finds as he tried suggestion of Cor - el once again, so that marked as useful.

  • Taskflow Service document in the portal

    Hi friends,

    First of all, I have a basic question: do we Webcenter Portal framework now? What is WCPortal and WCPortal builder?

    Q2) I have an obligation to use Document Service Taskflow in Webcenter - 11.1.1.8 I had to do it in the portal generator or can I use it in the ADF? Please give me some examples.

    Thank you.

    (1) is there a way to customize the the Document Explorer taskflows in portal Builder? If I want to change appearance - how I would do this?

    Yes you can do it. You can change the appearance on the portal itself console runtime.

    see this

    https://Vimeo.com/37430741

    (2) can you provide me with any documentation/examples to do?

    You can also customize taskflow in jdeveloper. See how you can do it. http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E29542_01/WebCenter.1111/e27739/jpsdg_taskflows.htm#JPSDG7376

    < SkinFactoryImpl > < getSkin > cannot find a skin that fits the family portal and version v1. We will use the portal.desktop of the skin.

    You must install the latest patch bundle for WebCenter portal.

    I believe that this error is a bug caused by certain features that are available in the portal Builder, but not in a framework application.

    Basically, WebCenter is throwing items of metadata to specific models of devices. In the portal Builder, you can create different templates depending on the device, but this feature is not available in the framework where the error.

    Just install the latest patch bundle and your problem should be solved.

    Also... Note that Oracle recommendation is to use the portal generator and not to develop any new application with the framework.

  • Import of RSS feed in Flash

    Hey there

    Firstly thanks for any help on this - much appreciated. I created a list of RSS feeds in flash using the following tutorial: http://alaashaker.wordpress.com/2008/09/09/build-your-own-flash-rss-reader-tutorial-flash-actionscript-30 / # comment - 932

    I'm stuck trying to make each clickable list at the url of the source item. the journal of the Description is not necessary - just an item in the list-> url

    var rssLoader:URLLoader = new URLLoader();

    var rssURL:URLRequest =

    new URLRequest ("http://rssfeedurl");

    rssLoader.addEventListener (Event.COMPLETE, rssLoaded);

    rssLoader.load (rssURL);

    var rssXML:XML = new XML();

    rssXML.ignoreWhitespace = true;

    function rssLoaded (evt:Event): void {}

    rssXML = XML (rssLoader.data);

    trace (rssXML);

    for {(var: chaîne d'élément dans rssXML.channel.item)}

    liLog.addItem.htmlText = "< a href =" ({label: rssXML.channel.item [item] .title + rssXML.channel.item [item] .link}) "" > < / has > ";"

    }

    }

    The event listener is assigned to the list item so that when you select an element thereof, the selection can be transformed using and the event handler function.  If the event listener would be the way that show you...

    liLog.addEventListener (Event.CHANGE, selectLog);

    The event handler function must determine which item was selected in the list in order to use for binding, you want.  If you have assigned the link to the list as I showed, then you would seek to property 'data' of the item selected from the list (you might as well called it 'the link' instead of 'data')...

    function selectLog(evt:Event) {}

    var url: String = liLog.selectedItem.data;  capture the data item (link)

    navigateToURL (new URLRequest (url)); Open the linked site/page

    }

  • Publish the RSS feeds of Sites WebCenter

    Hello

    I'm new to the scene of WebCenter and we are currently investigating the opportunity to use the WebCenter Sites into a new project. The latest version will be used.

    One of the requirements is that the news FEED are published content. This feature is available out of the box to WebCenter Sites or is - this something reuires a custom implementation.

    Thank you

    Gabriel.

    Hello

    We also had the same requirement as yours where rss wss by using content of WCS. We had set up something custom to achieve this.

    You can do the following:

    1. determine what type of assets will be used to generate RSS feeds and which attributes.

    2. create CSElement which will retrieve the desired asset content type and the output of this element must be in the form of XML RSS.

    3. entry of site create and associate the cselement above. Make this entry of site as a wrapper so that it can be called via a browser. Also add the parameter

    CS. ContentType : text/xml

    in site entry that says browser the output of this element will be XML.

    After that, you can now call this entry Site via a browser as www.example.com/cs/Satellite?pagename=

    Kind regards

    Guddu

  • CFLOOP and cfoutput creates the transport back to RSS Feed

    I have problems with the validation of an RSS feed that I create using CFXML. I tried both cfoutput and cfloop and creates the following:

    < item >
    < title > events: Panel of career on the career opportunities with a library technician certificate < /title >
    < link > http://events.LBCC.edu/detail.cfm?EventID=1286 < / link >
    < description > The Library Department & amp; LAKE career & amp; Employment Services Center will host a panel of career on career opportunities with a library technician certificate. 11:00 to 13:00 in the E - the Student Center building. < / description >
    < / point >
    <-cfloop and cfoutput is adding to create an RSS feed not valid carriage return.
    < item >
    < title > events: EOPS applications will be available as of May 3, < /title >

    If I use the xml cffeed works correctly as follows and creates a valid stream:

    And there is a newline at the end of the line is not there!

     <-- this is a carriage return!

    won't do much if you use just one big around all the code you want to copy, AND all the white space you do not.  Effectiviely to use it, you need to do something like that.

    News and Events RSS Feed
    http://www.lbcc.edu/

  • News headlines for RSS feeds on the Web site using Java

    Good evening
    I'm interested in showing the post titles of blog titles on our Web site. (RSS feeds would be converted, etc..) I found generators free plug-and-play javascript that will do it, but they give me validation errors and were not ideal. I found a file, .jsp, who says he'll do the job , but he didn't.

    Anyone have experience with this or know something that works? I would like to welcome myself to the script if possible. PHP is not an option for me.

    Thank you
    Nick

    FYI: Java is not a shortcut for JavaScript. Here are two completely different programming languages.

    To answer your question on the extraction of feedingstuffs in JavaScripts,
    I use it on my site. It works very well.
    AJAX Google feedfetcher - requires you to have a Google API key #.
    http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex18/gajaxrssdisplayer.htm

  • RSS feeds: create a filter in the RSS feed

    Hello

    I would like to know how it is possible to create a filter in a RRS feed, which seems possible on the subject of "account web applets. In fact, you can select an account field (e.g. % name % for the account name). But I don't know how technically integrate this string (% name %%%) in the URL of the stream SIPP to trigger filtering.)

    Thanks for your help.

    That's what I do to get an RSS feed from google

    http://News.Google.com/news?q=%%%name%%%&output=RSS.

    What is the RSS feed you generate? You should be able to get an RSS feed by querying a name tag
