Published as video in Captivate 8

I'm having issues publishing my project as video.  I have a video clip of introduction, and there is a delay of 4 seconds before it begins to play, and when that happens, it starts in mid-sentence.  Publishing HTML5 or SWF, it plays very well.  Attached are the publication for workstation settings.

Thank you

Erik,

Apparently the Captivate doesn't like having a video avec.1 second delay to publish as a video timeline.  If I set it to 0, it works very well.  Thanks for your suggestions.

Hello! I am trying to publish in 6 Captivate SWF and HTML5, but my embedded videos don't play. I tried to use Movie Maker to convert a MP4 format and then imported the video in Captivate. I also tried to use Media Encoder to encode MP4 before import into Captivate but after I publish it, the video does not play, and it shows a 'connection error '. When I publish in EXE videos play. However, I need to publish to mobile devices. Nobody knows what the best way is to embed videos in Captivate? I can't use YouTube to host videos because it is confidential information of the company.

    Hello

You need to download the complete file you can get after the publication of your project.

Please make sure that the exact version of Captivate could be Cp 6.0.1.240 / 6.1.0.319 (see help > about Adobe Captivate)

If not then please download the exact version using the link below

Hey guys. anyway I publish a video Director and 15 Minute long play through it fine, but after its publication, and I watch the video file it freezes at the same image (the media player does not freeze, he continues to play through, the video comes out badly) and all the audio stops and then the screen blacks on entirely for the rest of the video. Does anyone have a solution to this? I'd appreciate any help. Thank you

  • Captivate 8 - project published in smaller than Captivate files 6 LMS?

    Hello!

    I had a 'small' problem - haha.

When I publish a project in Captivate 8 (original size: width: 1024px | height: 768px) in our LMS, it appears almost half the size (width: 584px: height: 438px) other files (which belong to the entire training).

Old projects were made with 6 Captivate.

I wouldn't change a thing, I just open the file .cptx with CP8, saved and published (HTML5 only).

There is a problem with Captivate 8 or is the problem on the LMS side?

(PS: Sorry, I don't know exactly what LMS this is, but it is said LMS3 (of schenck.de AG))

    It solved!

The problem was on the side of LMS! The container-size space was too small!

    LMS-owner changed after my request.

  • Is it possible to loop video 8 Captivate?

I leaned on the events of time based in 8 Captivate and from what I can tell Captivate does not have to be triggered by the chronology of the actions (other than on enter and exit) but I would really like a video loop. Does perform a work around to make the audio loop?

There are two ways to implement video in Captivate - "slide" or "video event.

Video slide puts the video on the timeline and extends the timeline for the duration of the video, so you can include events scripted with this method:

Interactive video in Adobe Captivate 8 | e Learning, Chief

BUT you can't put in a loop, without CP reading bar/scrubber or otherwise which dates back to the front of the chronology and restart.

Video event, however, is independent of the timeline, and I'm sure that has a loop option:

Adobe Captivate help | Event video

Although I have not tried myself (search the page for 'loop')...

, and if it does not work as it should, the downside is, indeed, you can't time events specifically that reading is independent of the timeline.

  • I can't cut my FMR video in Captivate 6 on Windows 7

    Hello

I created a video demonstration Captivate 6 on Windows 7 and I can't get the TRIM function to work.

I have recorded the FMR and opened it in the timeline.

I select cut in the editing of the FRM Options and put the marker when I want the pad to start.

When I click start marker: align the playhead, nothing happens. Ditto for the end marker.

Even if I set the filling from and to, and then click cut, nothing happens.

I'm doing something wrong? It seems to be a very simple process, and yet I can't make it work.

    Thank you

    Tim

    Tim,

I'm confused by your question: you cannot create a TMF pure 6 of Captivate, you created a demo? In this case, after registration, you will see the video in the player, and at the bottom right, you can use the change to go into the video editor where you will have features much more than just the filling.

If you speak of a slide, where FMR was used during the automatic Capture in a software simulation, in edit FMR options will be available. I just checked out and Trim, smapping works like in previous versions. It is the only way to get FMR-slides in a cptx file.

  • How to record a video of Captivate itself?

Hello - how to save a video from Captivate itself? It does not appear as a 'registration window' (Record new project > Appliction >..).

    Any help? Thanks in advance.

    Furthermore, I use version 5.

    Hi people

In my own experience, this won't work until a certain point. This point? You cannot use Captivate to record Captivate recording the screen because it allows only one instance unique registration to occur.

  • How to add a download link for a video of Captivate on a Web site?

We try to do a download button that will allow our customers download our videos so that they save them on their devices. When the file zipped and tried to click index.html that the link seems broken that the video does not play. This seems like it is something on our side or y at - it another way I should publish it?

If you want the user to interact with the course but as you want to download, the only option is to publish on my computer as a Windows executable or executable file Mac. That doesn't say that they can't be sensitive design but if they (empty) Standard projects such as software simulations or video demos that should work. In this way the final product is a single file that anyone can download in a single click.

Here is a screenshot of the publishing method:

  • 5.5 draft Version 8 > publish to video creates a .mp4 blurry pixelated

I created a project in Captivate 5.5. I then opened in 8 Captivate and released a video (.mp4). Overall .mp4 video is a blurry and pixelated mess. I then created the same project in version 8 and published to the video and it worked fine. I have a bunch of my 5.5 project that I have to open at 8 and publish in the form of a video. Why in the world it makes them all pixelated and fuzzy. There is no reason for this. I recorded the software simulation similarly in 5.5 to 8. The screenshots are of the same size and all. What is the Adobe problem? I've been using Captivate since version 2 and met with many bugs and problems that I am ready to throw in the towel and stop using it. It takes me forever to complete a project because of all these little problems like this.

Upgrading from versions both especially causes this kind of questions. The publication has been reorganized, themes have been added, video demo has been added.

This is a user forum, I am just a user like you. Have you tried to copy and paste the slides to an original file of CP8? What are the parameters of quality of slides in the original files? You have FMR slides? What was the quality (16 or 32 bit)?

As you post on video, it must be a non-interactive project. It's a little weird for a software 'simulation', I think you mean a demo?

A different workflow would be to read the video published with CP5.5 and capture it with the features of the video demo you have now. Its quality is much better.

  • Problem adding video to Captivate slide

    Hello

I'm having a problem adding a video file FLV to Captivate. Basically, after that I have published on a SWF file, the video does not appear on the slide at all. It's just empty.

After searching for a bit, I found that the file FLV MUST include * metadata *.

However, I added medatada with VLC Media Player, and it still shows the same behavior. There's a certain * amount * metadata? Is there a * type * of metadata without which the video not displayed?

Adobe help thread talking about what we call the ' Kit Flash video '-which is a stand-alone product or one extension of another product? Is it free? Are there any other free alternatives?

    I'm just very confused.

    Thank you!

I ended up answering my own question. But just in case this helps someone else, I'll post my solution.

Essentially, I just re-created the video in MP4 format. Then I used MetaZ (for Mac) to write metadata in the video. Finally, I imported the video as an object and when I posted the video, Captivate it transmutes to the FLV format needed.

The video is now displayed correctly.

    Hello Donald 1970,.

    Thank you for your response.

For the first question, I twostate completed video.  The link below is for encoding and the answers to the other questions.  Please let me know if this becomes the resolution or still have problems.

To work around this problem, encode the video file again by using the Windows Media Encoder. For the Windows Media Encoder, see the Microsoft Web site at the following address:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/forpros/encoder/default.mspx (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/forpros/encoder/default.mspx)

After the file has been encoded again, the file can be edited and published in Movie Maker.

Note When you encode the file again, use the same settings that you used for the original file. Also, make sure that the resolution of the encoded file output corresponds to the resolution of the source file. If you resize the screen capture video, the output video may become difficult to see.
