Publication of videos in Captivate

Hello! I am trying to publish in 6 Captivate SWF and HTML5, but my embedded videos don't play. I tried to use Movie Maker to convert a MP4 format and then imported the video in Captivate. I also tried to use Media Encoder to encode MP4 before import into Captivate but after I publish it, the video does not play, and it shows a 'connection error '. When I publish in EXE videos play. However, I need to publish to mobile devices. Nobody knows what the best way is to embed videos in Captivate? I can't use YouTube to host videos because it is confidential information of the company.

Hello

You need to download the complete file you can get after the publication of your project.

Please make sure that the exact version of Captivate could be Cp 6.0.1.240 / 6.1.0.319 (see help > about Adobe Captivate)

If not then please download the exact version using the link below

Thank you

If you post on YouTube, you have created a video and a video (MP4) can never be interactive. The clicks you speak will be available only for interactive output: HTML or SWF.

  • Is it possible to loop video 8 Captivate?

I leaned on the events of time based in 8 Captivate and from what I can tell Captivate does not have to be triggered by the chronology of the actions (other than on enter and exit) but I would really like a video loop. Does perform a work around to make the audio loop?

There are two ways to implement video in Captivate - "slide" or "video event.

Video slide puts the video on the timeline and extends the timeline for the duration of the video, so you can include events scripted with this method:

Interactive video in Adobe Captivate 8 | e Learning, Chief

BUT you can't put in a loop, without CP reading bar/scrubber or otherwise which dates back to the front of the chronology and restart.

Video event, however, is independent of the timeline, and I'm sure that has a loop option:

Adobe Captivate help | Event video

Although I have not tried myself (search the page for 'loop')...

, and if it does not work as it should, the downside is, indeed, you can't time events specifically that reading is independent of the timeline.

  • I can't cut my FMR video in Captivate 6 on Windows 7

    Hello

I created a video demonstration Captivate 6 on Windows 7 and I can't get the TRIM function to work.

I have recorded the FMR and opened it in the timeline.

I select cut in the editing of the FRM Options and put the marker when I want the pad to start.

When I click start marker: align the playhead, nothing happens. Ditto for the end marker.

Even if I set the filling from and to, and then click cut, nothing happens.

I'm doing something wrong? It seems to be a very simple process, and yet I can't make it work.

    Thank you

    Tim

    Tim,

I'm confused by your question: you cannot create a TMF pure 6 of Captivate, you created a demo? In this case, after registration, you will see the video in the player, and at the bottom right, you can use the change to go into the video editor where you will have features much more than just the filling.

If you speak of a slide, where FMR was used during the automatic Capture in a software simulation, in edit FMR options will be available. I just checked out and Trim, smapping works like in previous versions. It is the only way to get FMR-slides in a cptx file.

  • How to record a video of Captivate itself?

Hello - how to save a video from Captivate itself? It does not appear as a 'registration window' (Record new project > Appliction >..).

    Any help? Thanks in advance.

    Furthermore, I use version 5.

    Hi people

In my own experience, this won't work until a certain point. This point? You cannot use Captivate to record Captivate recording the screen because it allows only one instance unique registration to occur.

  • HTML (file .oam) video does not work on mobile devices when publication of draft 9 Captivate

    Hello

I have created a project of 9 Captivate and publish HTML5 so that it works on mobile devices. I would like to include a short video on one of my slides, so I imported a file .oam (that I exported to animate CC) in my Captivate project. I thought given that the video was an animation HTML that it would go very well on mobile devices, however when I run the project on an iPad a box indicating I have need flash player appears where the video should play. I thought the very idea of HTML that it can run without flash player, so run on mobile devices? Am I missing something obvious?

    Thank you!

I think I only know why this process was not working for me. Although the file was published as a file .oam and built in CC host the file type I was exporting to was a .swf file and not a file HTML canvas. I have since built in CC animations animate HTML canvas files and they work very well in 9 Captivate.

  • Registration form via Captivate or inserting video in captivate

    Dear community!

I made a recording of the screen, about 30 sec with Quicktime Player. This video (.mov) I want to insert in my Captivate 8 E-Conference. I want it to start automatically when the slide in the Conference is reached.

It is now .mov is not possible with captivate, so I changed it to .flv. But the quality is quite bad and also after the publication of my E-Conference there are problems, the video does not play or you play the video.

I do also registration form through captivate? If not, what is the best way to insert a video in a conference-E? Is there a possibility that the video starts automatically with the slide? I Don t want to look like a video, I want the person who looks at the conference E-think it's a normal blade. Is this possible?

    Sincerely

    Thomas

You have the possibility of video recording demo, which translates a file cpvc

You can insert on a slide in a project cptx. Demo video has a dedicated

Editor-in-Chief of pan/zoom and to insert static objects, transitions etc.

  • Published as video in Captivate 8

I'm having issues publishing my project as video.  I have a video clip of introduction, and there is a delay of 4 seconds before it begins to play, and when that happens, it starts in mid-sentence.  Publishing HTML5 or SWF, it plays very well.  Attached are the publication for workstation settings.

    Thank you

    Erik,

Apparently the Captivate doesn't like having a video avec.1 second delay to publish as a video timeline.  If I set it to 0, it works very well.  Thanks for your suggestions.

  • After the publication of video in Movie Maker, it has a large green block down and extends the video

I used a video camera to make a video and down it loaded on my computer.  Director of Windows wouldn't let me not download it from there, I guess that he could not read, so I converted it on AVS video converter 7.1 for mp4, which was unreadable on windows movie maker.  I then converted it to an avi and easily, he was transferred.  My problem is now, after the publication of the final draft of the film, he shows a huge green block at the bottom of the video and stretches horizontally on video.  This is not displayed when you edit the movie in windows movie maker, please help.

    Hello

Since you used the 3 part video conversion software, we have no way of knowing what has occurred with the video. The only thing we can suggest is to follow the instructions in the following articles using the original video recorded and imported into Movie Maker:

If you want the user to interact with the course but as you want to download, the only option is to publish on my computer as a Windows executable or executable file Mac. That doesn't say that they can't be sensitive design but if they (empty) Standard projects such as software simulations or video demos that should work. In this way the final product is a single file that anyone can download in a single click.

  • How to disable automatic playback of videos of Captivate into Robohelp projects?

    Hello

I use RoboHelp 9 and I inserted some Captivate videos between text. When I generate WebHelp, I see these videos play automatically when the page is opened. There is a games bar under the video through which I can to pause the video, but I was wondering if there is a way to disable the Autorun of these videos feature?

    I tried to insert:

    AutoPlay = "false" < param name = "play" value = "false" / >

But it doesn't seem to work.

Can someone with expertise in HTML please help?

    Thank you!

    Hello

First of all, we need to clarify your use of the term "video". When Captivate generates the output, that it may be in the form of a video, for example an MP4 file or it may be in the form of a 'video', but instead, which means a SWF of Flash from Adobe file.

If it is a SWF file, I'm not sure that the autoplay option will help at all because I believe that to be intended for a 'real' video in perhaps the MP4 format.

If the Captivate file is in the SWF format, and you want that he stopped at the beginning, you have two options.

    1. who created the Captivate must insert a button or click box object located at the beginning keep it paused until the user clicks play. This will require adding the element and the production of the Captivate output again. And you will need to add the new video of the RoboHelp project.

    2. you are able to create a dynamic HTML menu drop down and tuck the Captivate video in the menu dropdown. The user then clicks on the link to bring up the Captivate and it is not start play until this action occurs.

  • Publication in HTML5 w / Captivate 9

My company currently publishes SWF projects, but this fall, we are moving to HTML5 publishing. I am doing some research on what has not supported in HTML5 and found a list of items to Adobe.com (for example, text and SWF animations, transitions between slides, bearings, etc.).

To test, I set up a quick module. It includes cartoons, buttons text animation (effect of typing), mouse animation, etc. HTML5 Tracker was told that rolling legends, flight path images and rollover slidelets weren't compatible HTML5. However, when I published to HTML5 and considered that it if IE11, almost everything worked, including all transfers. I'm confused, because everything I read points to the fact that the bearings will not work in HTML5, but they seemed to work for me. Am I missing something?

I want to emphasize that we are not publish responsive projects. Our whole target audience is using desktop computers and by displaying the modules in IE11. I was wondering if there is a bug in the tracker, or if his warnings apply only to projects of a reactive nature?

Transfers are not compatible with most mobile devices, is that the reason that the HTML tracker in condition for HTML output.

What does certainly not are animations of text and SWF animations. For animations of text appears only a static image. FLV video cannot be played in the HTML output, will be converted to MP4.  H264 (MP4) codec does not support transparent background, which is possible in FLV format. Some problems may occur with PPT-imported slides and FMR slides, but it's not always the case. Totally the effects that are classified as 'Other effects' in CP9 are not taken care of or. Another difference I know: in SWF output an interactive object covered by a non-interactive object remains active, which is not (always) the case in the HTML output.  Much also depends on the browser used, the HTML5 support is not the same by all browsers.

As long as you post mainly for laptop Desk/computer maintain the SWF when possible or publish to multiple screens. The user experience is much more in line with the output SWF. At least as browsers continue to integrate Flash Player. Right now the interactive PDF published by Captivate needs Flash player, as does the EXE format.

  • Problem adding video to Captivate slide

    Hello

I'm having a problem adding a video file FLV to Captivate. Basically, after that I have published on a SWF file, the video does not appear on the slide at all. It's just empty.

After searching for a bit, I found that the file FLV MUST include * metadata *.

However, I added medatada with VLC Media Player, and it still shows the same behavior. There's a certain * amount * metadata? Is there a * type * of metadata without which the video not displayed?

Adobe help thread talking about what we call the ' Kit Flash video '-which is a stand-alone product or one extension of another product? Is it free? Are there any other free alternatives?

    I'm just very confused.

    Thank you!

I ended up answering my own question. But just in case this helps someone else, I'll post my solution.

Essentially, I just re-created the video in MP4 format. Then I used MetaZ (for Mac) to write metadata in the video. Finally, I imported the video as an object and when I posted the video, Captivate it transmutes to the FLV format needed.

The video is now displayed correctly.

  • Publication of FLV of Captivate 4

We use EVP as our video player for videos in the membership site, squeeze pages, etc.  He won't play .swf files.  Is there an easy way to publish the Captivate project as .flv and .swf?

    Rocky

You can export Captivate 4 in AVI format.  You can convert AVI to FLV using free software such as FFMPEG, own Adobe Media Encoder or others.  I'll be like FFMPEG, which can directly convert video H.264 (MPEG-4 Advanced Video Codec).

  • Change audio after recording a video of Captivate

I have a situation where I need to record a video myself. This would be sent to someone else, which would have simply put her voice on the video. To guide, what to talk about where I would be recording the video in my own voice.

What I want is that the other person should be able to remove my voice after having seen/heard the video and get the same video recorded in his own voice. In other words, no changes to video would be made, just my voice would be replaced by sound.

    Is it possible to Captivate?

    Hello

Easy, just change the slide with the narration, click on Audio > Record and Captivate will ask if you want to replace the audio existing. After having notified you want to replace it, you can record new audio narration to replace the existing narrative.
