  Each version of Adobe products is based on the previous ones.  Some things like filters and advanced features may change or become obsolete over time, but the basic tools remained much the same for decades.  As long as you know there are subtle differences between the versions, I think that you will always get a large part of the value of C to a and B for CS6.

  Student accounts can be tricky depending on how you subscribed to them.  If you pay Adobe directly each month, you should be good to go, though if you bought membership through your school, it may be a little more difficult.  We can review your specific case on your support ticket.

• Adobe Reader DC - cannot open jpg files

  After you download ARDC and set as default (HLTA) program I can open existing jpg files by simply clicking on the file.  The only way to open the files is to open the ARDC, click Open, browse for the file and then click Open which then does not open the file.  Before you download ARDC I could just click on the jpg file icon and it will open without having to go back to Adobe.  I am operating Windows 7, the browser Firefox, Microsoft Windows Live Mail. Also, before you download ARDC I could click on a jpg attachment in my email and the attachment opens.  Now, I have to save the attachementito folder my documents, open ARDC, click Open, locate the file, and open it.  Any suggestions please.  Thank you.

  Thanks for sticking by me.  I tried the 'Repair Installation', but nothing happened.  I decided to remove Adobe Reader from my computer and reload.  Interestingly, I couldn't remove using the standard uninstall in Control Panel.  So did uninstall it with Revo Uninstaller and cleaned out of files attached and then downloaded Adobe Reader DC on the Adobe site.  Now, it seems to work as it should.  so, once again thank you for your efforts.  Wish you a great Christmas and all the best to you and yours in 2016!

  You're absolutely right, prproj's Premiere Pro.

• I downloaded adobe captivate but cannot open it.

  When I click on the adobe captivate icon instead of open it goes to an installer. I already installed it but when I click on the installer, it says it has encountered an error and that the installer is already install something. It's really not the case because there is nothing else open on my mac.

  How can I get the program to open?

  Restart your computer (to put an end to any installation of hanging) and you control the applications > file adobe to see if captivate is installed.

  If not, reinstall.

I purchased the CS4 classroom in a book for many of them, but I can't find one for SB CS4.  In my view, there a SB CS3 Classroom in a book.  This edition would suffice even the content in the dvd included with the book?

  A classroom in a book, I would say that you use a search engine such as 'Google '.  I guess you know the Adobe Troubleshooting Resource Center provides the Soundbooth manual, which is a great place to start if you want to examine the ins and outs of Soundbooth.

  Just purchased and downloaded 13 elements for Mac. When I open the program and try selection/loading a program to edit (in the Mac picture folder) the program hangs and stops. So far I have not been able to use my new program.

  In Lesson 1 (using the example of 01B_Start.psd), I am able to capture and move the horizontal text, but when I followed the instructions (just like short!)

  to change the color of text, via a selection of swatch, the foreground color and the change of color of text Optios Bar, but the text I typed and then selected for change (by instruction!) does not default black.

  Hi Jack, could you perhaps post a screenshot of your workspace? That would help us WORK more assess your problem.

  1. to change the color of the text in Photoshop, first make sure that your text is selected and highlighted. To select all of the text on a layer of plain text, just quickly, double-click the "T" icon in the layer in the Panel layers:

  

  You can see above that my text is now highlighted. This means that I can change the color of the selected text.

  2 to change the color of text, you can either click on the color chart of the text tool options bar (make sure the text tool is selected), or use the sample of foreground in the toolbar. Both options are shown below.

  

  Although it's not like, you can ensure that your Color Mode is set to RGB or CMYK. If you are in grayscale, you only see colors in shades of black, white and gray. To check your color more, go to Image > Mode

  If you use an Acrobat XI subscription, then you are eligible to use an upgrade to Acrobat DC without paying any extra.

  You can install and activate your subscription DC Acrobat using the same Adobe ID credentials and access to your PDF documents.

  I also bought through Kindle and recorded through PeachPit book "Adobe Photoshop CC 2015 free CLASSROOM IN A BOOK® official training Adobe workbook" by Faulkner and Chavez.

  What are the parts of the book are now outdated?

  I teach regional technology in a rural University. For years, I had a Flash class based on materials 'classroom in a book ". Now I need a resource to text to animate CC. The only one I found is th Labrecque book by Adobe Press. John did a great job, but it is a mismatch for my students who do not need preparation for the review of associate Certified Adobe. The book is going too fast and too far for my guys to treat in a semester. So for now we'll always use the old Flash book.

  Does anyone know a resource text more favorable to practitioners on CC animate or when one will become available?

  Hi Richard.

  I know a few other books CC animate in the works - but have no information about possible publication dates.

  I would say if the IPC Pro Flash is a better match for your students, then it would be nice to use it - Animate being essentially the same program. The problem is that many new things in Animate are not covered in the earlier books - so I would say completing an older text with additional materials.
