pure install E5-573-5653

I'm about to do a clean install on my new E5-573-5653.  There Win10, but I am allowed a WIN 10 Pro with my previous purchase of software.  I WIN 10 thought Microsft drive I would install my Win 7 Ultimate, soft upgrade to 10 pro, then clean install Win 10 Pro.

I have to do something in the bios for this?  All special partitions that I have to be careful?  I usually just wipe and clean install, but my old sony was a bit complicated if I'm reaching first.

Skylinekiller,

Here are the steps I would take... assuming you have 64-bit windows 7 ultimate... and given that your computer came pre-installed with Windows 10 w/UEFI-BIOS which is TPG and Secure Boot enabled by default.

Modern method UEFI/GPT of Installation of Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate or Pro

1 create a factory default recovery disc (and also an apps and backup drivers)

http://Acer--UK.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/A_ID/38145/session/L2F2LzEvdGltZS8xNDQ0ODkxMDI5L3NpZ...

2. backup all your important personal files because the following steps will wipe your drive.

3. press in and hold the SHIFT key on your keyboard and then restart your computer (this will allow your computer to boot in a special environment).

4 navigate in your selection of UEFI settings menu and select it. (Troubleshooting > Advanced Options)

5. when your computer starts to UEFI BIOS settings, navigate the settings to disable "secure starting" and then save/quit (probably F-10) Note: does not support Windows 7 boot safe-{secure boot didn't come along until what Windows 8}

6 and then continue on to windows 10

7. hold down the SHIFT key and restart your computer to enter in special environments as you did in step 3.

8 navigate in the menu to the command prompt (troubleshooting > Advanced Options)

9. use diskpart clean to wipe your entire disk (be careful - click spoilers too when reading directions).  The instructions below work on SSD and HDD

http://Forum.crucial.com/T5/the-CRU/reset-your-SSD-to-factory-settings-Windows-Diskpart/BA-p/162503

10. after that own diskpart runs successfully, quit diskpart and out of the line of command to return to the main menu

11. Insert your Windows 7 Ultimate DVD in the DVD drive

12 navigate the menu to "Turn off your computer" and shut down your computer

13 turn on the computer and install windows 7 Ultimate edition (select custom Setup, left click on your drive, and left click on 'next'. Windows setup will automatically partition and format your HARD drive and install windows)

14. use Windows update to get a free upgrade of windows 10 pro version (my advice is to make sure that you are logged into windows with your windows live account and not just a local login.

15. check that Windows 10 pro is enabled on your computer.  (Settings > update and security > Activation)

16 after having checked that 10 pro windows is activated, you must go to the BIOS settings and activate Boot...save/exit guarantee.

17. the drivers are here:

http://us.Acer.com/AC/en/us/content/drivers

18. (optional step - but not that I would take it personally) If you have verified that your Pro 10 Windows is activated, you can go to the Microsoft website and download the tool to create win10 media pro and do a clean install of windows 10 pro.

https://www.Microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/Windows10

Important note: I assume you have Windows 7 Ultimate 64 DVD. If for any reason your Windows 7 installation media is not the DVD of Win7 Ultimate, then you might need to create a single bootable UEFI to windows 7 ultimate USB drive installation media compatible with UEFI (with something like RUFUS or another tool).  Google for the instructions or post here if you are unsure how to use RUFUS or other tool for UEFI installation only.

If the procedure above does not work... Please post... and you may have to go with the legacy installation method. If you must use the legacy installation method, it is not a big deal, because you can re-enter UEFI/GPT/Secure Boot when loading the default bios, using diskpart, computer, power off and clean the re - install windows 10pro.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Another legacy Installation of Windows 7 Ultimate or Pro on some computers UEFI method

1. create your factory default recovery USB stick and a pilot and backup applications and also backup your important personal files because the following steps will erase your drive.

2 go UEFI BIOS and disable "secure boot" and 'MSC launch' always the value

3. use clean diskpart (which will clean your HARD drive and put in an uninitialized state).

4. turn off your computer

5 turn on the computer and install windows 7 ultimate

6. the windows through windows update 10 pro upgrade

If you use the method of legacy installation, it is not a big deal, because you can return to UEFI/GPT/SecureBoot by loading the bios default (F-9) and save/quit (F-10), using own diskpart, turn off your computer, and then perform a new installation of windows 10pro.

UEFI/GPT/Secure Boot is much safer than the legacy MBR.

Edit: Editing steps 11 and 12

  • pure install win 7 rc

I do a clean install of Windows 7 rc on my computer laptop doesn't need all the software of hp or just drivers?

Please tell me what software I have to do a clean install

Here are the specifications of your laptop Compaq Presario CQ57-319WM. Here is the page of Compaq Presario CQ57-319WM Notebook PC drivers for your computer. All the drivers you need must be on this page. As you do a clean install, there is no point in trying to install all HP software (most won't install anyway).

Again, skip the software and install only the necessary drivers.

  • Pure install Mavericks running?  LINC Davis?

I'm looking to do a clean install and I use the Mavericks.  I'm just following instructions on osxdaily.com.  It is saying I need to create a boot disk using a USB stick for OS X Mavericks... to download the Mavericks since the app store, then transfer it to the bootable flash drive, but the Mavericks is no longer available on the app store so that the option is not available.

Basically I have a 2009 MBP running Mavericks 10.9.5.  I'm looking to wipe out completely and start from scratch.  I backed up my files using a Capsule temporal but also using Time Machine to backup to an external hard drive.  I also backed up my files manually to an external hard drive as well as the use of carbon copy clone to make a complete clone of my computer.

What are the steps to follow to accomplish this new facility?

In addition, should once completed I upgrade to El Capitan?  I'm just doing the first?

    Thank you

If you downloaded the Mavericks since the Mac App Store, you can either re-download it from there, or reboot with the command and R keys and perform the new installation. In both cases, you will need to be able to sign in with a login Apple previously used to download.

Otherwise, you must upgrade to El Capitan and perform a new installation of it. Whether or not you should otherwise depends on how you use the computer and If your software is compatible.

  • Pure install Win 7 - hybrid hard drive

I have a HP ENVY Ultrabook 6-1030sm laptop. It uses a hard drive (hybrid) combined with ssd. I want to install a clean version of Windows 7. After you run the installer, I get an error message indicating "no hard disk found. "Click on load a driver to provide a driver for installing mass storage. I tried to copy the drivers (both exe and extracted) on USB, but after scanning the content, he always says there is no hard drive found on the selected source.

Google produces an idea that I should use diskpart, select one of the disks and clean it. DiskPart tells me that there is only a single disk with 7 GB in size. I guess it's the SSD HARD drive part.

Please give me help on what I have to do to install a clean version of Windows 7 and always use SSDS. Thank you!

    Hello:

    Try this...

Download the drivers from this link below (first or second file listed - 32 or 64 bit depending on the case).

    https://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?AGR=Y&ProdId=2101&DwnldID=23060&keyword=Intel+RAPI...

Extract the files on a usb flash drive.

With the flash player and the installation of W7 media connected to the computer, boot from the installation of W7 media.

After selecting the install now option, select the training - Advanced menu, Options and select the option load a driver.

You should now see the storage driver files listed.

If you check the box, it only includes the compatible driver.

Follow the prompts and hopefully W7 should install.

I had also read that info since you have a hybrid drive.

  • pure install 64-bit Windows 8 on Vista 32-bit

I did a clean install of windows 8 64-bit on my old 32-bit vista and now my windows won't start. I had a USB bootable to my windows 8 pro file. Installation went well (sometimes screen was a bit messed up http://youtu.be/yo4XC6o9HJE). I was able to give user information and make adjustments, but when windows tried to launch for the first time it hangs after windows logo screen 8. It will be completely after a few tries, but with internet connection.

After that I was able to start on a safe mode with internet connection and the screen is really messed up as in the youtube video.

    See you soon

The site is authentic.  You have two options when you do your relocation:

    Method 1

    1. Download SP3 form the Microsoft site and burn it to a cd or copy it to a flash drive.
    2. Reinstall Windows with your original Windows XP CD.
    3. Use the copy of SP3 that you burned on the CD or copied to the flash drive and update the machine to SP3.  Note that if you have an original CD of 'gold' of Windows XP without service pack that you install SP1a or SP2 before you install SP3, SP2 is available here , download and save it with SP3 before making your relocation.

    Method 2

    1. Download SP3 from the Microsoft site and it wake to your Windows XP CD.
    2. Install Windows XP with your slipstreamed CD and your installation will be in SP3, when installation is complete you will not need to install service packs, you'll just have to do some other updates that have been released after SP3.

The http://lifehacker.com/386526/slipstream-service-pack-3-into-your-windows-xp-installation-cd is legitimate, it only gives you instructions on how to create and burn a CD of SP3 slipstreamed Windows XP.  If this seems too daunting then use method 1 to install Windows.

Both methods are very good but method 2 allows a nicer cleaner installation, everything is installed to SP3 level and there are no remnants of previous service packs.  While creating the slipstreamed CD may appear to be a time consuming task, in the end, it will be a time saver and afterwards if you ever have problems with the installation of Windows you may need this cd SP3 slipstreamed to all repairs on the installation.  You can create the SP3 cd now and do it ready and at hand for future needs.

  • Pure install Win Vista x 86 HP KB2079403, KB2479943, KB2536275 (fail 0x800B0100) and KB2536275 (not 0x8007065E)

Clean instal Win Vista x 86 HP on new SSD now in SP2. The material is a Medion Q6600 on mother MSI7366 and NVidia GeForce 9300GS map.

Will not install KB2079403, KB2479943, KB2536275 (fail 0x800B0100) or KB2536275 (not 0x8007065E).  Suggestions how to proceed?

I tried each individually - how know one gives what error.

Run Update Readiness Tool and it says everything is OK. You run MS Baseline Security analyze and downloaded packages individual but can not understand the correct syntax to invoke manually by hand using pkgmgr. I'm stuck with a new installation of Vista precarious missing 4 critical fixes :(

I could go back and start from scratch, but I think I'll finish exactly in the same place again. Have also tried AV scans of bootable CD made on another system of trust and found no evidence of malicious software with three different products.

Is it possible to get the best diagnosis of update of windows beyond "failed with unknown cryptic error."

Any ideas what these patches have in common, which causes them to fail on my kit?

    Thank you

    Martin Brown

Thank you very much! These well made the case.

I had not had as much as to put on an AV so that it was not to blame. I have no idea why Windows Update had taken against these specific fixes - they work OK on the hard drive.

They all performed successfully, according to the newspaper.  But I came to be stuck with a 'respect' in the automatic mode of updates for the last KB2536275 tag applied. He thinks that the patch should always be applied (and running it still does not work).

Correction - it takes the system a heck of a lot of time to notice that the patch is applied and removed from the list (at least 2 reboots and the time it took me to write this letter) to do. Now, everything is good on the SSD and a nice green checkmark shows that there are no outstanding update!

Thanks again it was exactly what I need.

BTW How did you find these .msu files? When I went before all I could find were cryptic and opaque. CAB files with names absolutely inpenetrable, my question at the beginning was to know how to apply them as pkgmgr syntax is not really obvious from the help page.

They are much more user friendly they are autonomous and run after the download.

  • Pure install Dell Inspiron 14R N4010

I'm having great trouble to do a clean install on my laptop. I have run all Diagnostics. I have the original installation disc and I even tried the Win7 Iso from microsoft. Thinking maybe the installation disc was bad. When I do the install, it goes through all but the final step. It restarts to resume Setup. But she keeps only the facility for a few minutes before he gives a BSOD. It then restarts and when it's done restart it says that cannot continue the installation. This happens every time. I worked on it for more than a week. I have no idea where to go from here. I have no idea what I can do wrong. I'm pretty good with computers and have never had difficulty making a facility like this before.

I would greatly appreciate any help

It is without doubt the Malware that slowed the computer down and prevented reinstall it. Ubuntu has a format better that the Windows disc so wipe the malware and allowing installation.

DBAN Darik Nuke and Boot and is a utility that securely erases the hard drive of all data. It is essentially the most through free format, and I advise to use it when its a Malware program was suspected or computer is given out or sold.

  • Pure install the OEM Version of Windows 7 re-Boot Loop after the message "preparing system for use of handguns."

Thanks in advance for any help...

I tried to install the OEM version of windows 7, but after "successful installation" restart the computer and it posts, I see the Windows logo, preparing for the first time use... Nothing that he stops, then reeboots.

My characteristics are the following: I have a motherboard ASUS P5KPL-CM, processor E5200 Intel Duo Core, 4 GB RAM, 1.5 TB hard and a Radeon HD 4870 graphics card. I built myself this PC. It was Windows XP, but I formatted the hard drive to do a clean install, so now I we a Creek so to speak. Help please?

    So I fixed it!

I do not know what was causing the boot loop, but the solution was simple. I removed my second hard drive, my video card and 2 GB of ram. I've heard say that windows 7 like no more than 2 GB of ram to install. I reinstalled from the disk, and all is well. If anyone else has this problem, it's worth a try.
  • Pure install W7 Pro 64-bit and activate with a product key and license of W7 pro upgrade.

As part of the upgrade of the hard drive in my laptop, I want to do a clean installation of Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.  My current license is an upgrade to W7 Home Premium 64 bit I bought after getting the laptop (several years ago).

Can I install the ISO Digital River Win7Pro64 I downloaded and activate it using my current license?

Only if the Windows 7 Professional 64 bit license is an upgrade or full version, not an Express upgrade.

If it is, then Yes, you can download Windows 7 Professional 64 bit from Digital River and use it with your product key.

If your computer comes with a qualifying previous license such as Windows Vista or Windows XP and the certificate of authenticity is still attached to the machine in good condition, then the COST is reason enough to represent the compliance to the software license agreement. No previous required software installation, which means you can do a clean install with Windows 7 Upgrade disk.

How to do a clean install with upgrade disc:

Boot from the Windows 7 DVD

    Click Install now

    Accept the license agreement

When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)

    Click on drive Options

Select the disc/s click on Delete

    Click new

    Click on apply

    Click OK

Click Format, and then click next to proceed with the installation

Skip entering your product key Windows 7 and complete the installation.

When you reach the desktop, click Start, right-click on computer

    Click on properties

Scroll down to the Windows Activation

Click the link x days before activation.

Click on the link that says: "show me other ways to activate.

    Enter the product key

    Click next

Select the Activation of the phone

Click Next when you enter your key page

    Select your country

Click Next, call the number listed

Be sure to explain your situation to the Appeals Officer.

Provide the installation generated when ID requested by the call agent

They give a confirmation ID in return, enter it

Click next to complete the activation.

However, the requirements for the media upgrade is that you have an operating system already eligible such as Windows XP or Vista installed to use it. Since the Windows 7 end user license agreement.

15 UPDATES. To use upgrade software, you must first be licensed for the software that is eligible for the upgrade. After the upgrade, this agreement takes the place of the agreement for the software that you upgraded. After upgrade, you can no longer use the software that you upgraded.

So, if you are always denied, you will just have to reinstall Windows XP or Vista and let it do the verification of eligibility.

  • Pure install new version (upgrade) at the old version (full) not installed?

I just had a fleet of hard drive and so I wanted to reinstall Lightroom 6 but I received a message that it could not find lightroom 5 anywhere.

It's because I had not installed.  Initially, I bought 5, then upgraded to 6.  The new drive I was trying to install the upgrade to 6 without installing 5 first (you know, 'clean' install).

A clean installation is possible?  How? Or do I have to install 5 first and then proceed to 6?

So nevermind, read the installation invites more carefully.  Complete when it cannot find the version that you select the one that bought you in a drop-down list, and enter the appropriate serial number.  So here it goes.

After I did a clean install of win 7 x 64 on my x 201, I installed the connexant 20585 driver, but no microphone is installed. What can I do?

I check in the BIOS and the microphone is Enable. In Device Manager, the connexant is there and high definition audio intel too.

Thank you for your advice and sorry for my bad English...

The only thing I can recommend is to go to Driverpacks.net , click on downloads, click on vista on the side, sort by 64 bit and try all the audio modules. I'd start first with the older packs. Most of the time vista drivers work on Win7.
