  Anyone has trouble with the following? I exported the data from Outlook to Google Calendar and then sync with the Palm Pre. Most of the appointments transferred correctly.   I used the Palm Pre 2 when I was in the United States with an ATT Sim Card and I was able to use all the features well. I come down to the India and got a local SIM with data services. I am able to check email / synchronize outlook etc and make calls. However I get an error for text messages "" could not send the message due to a network error. Try again. 96 "

  Please tell me what could be the cause. Have restarted the phone twice, no change...

  I thought about it. I have a 32 k SIM. If I use a 64 k SIM, SMS works fine

• Speckled in the Palm Pre screen

  Sprint replaced my Palm Pre because of a defect. Twice, they tried to give me a refurbished device where the screen has a model strongly and irregularly spotted, as if it were very dirty from below. The result is it is difficult to read the text in small print, and I get nauseous since a session extended with the phone. The Sprint Store recognizes that it's new and unusual, and they are at loss as to what is happening.

• After receiving a text message, how to disable sounds on the Palm Pre

  Someone to help me with this, because I'm at the end of my mind! I used to have a Palm Centro, and really, no matter what other phone before my new Palm Pre, goes something like this:

  1. you get a Doi of notification when you receive a new voice message or SMS

  2. you press the volume button, tap the screen, etc.

  3. THE RINGS STOP NOTIFICATION!

  Palm Pre not have this ability? If I TEXT back and forth with someone, I have to listen to the WHOLE THING EVERY TIME? Tell me that Palm has thought of a way to solve this problem, because it's driving me batty. It's the only thing that I completely hate this phone, and I can't find someone here who has had the same problem...

  How do I stop the ringer?

  I don't know about anyone else, I get notification of all that happens: IM, text, when I charge the battery, when I'm low in battery, etc. The question I have and I hope that someone has the solution, which is to my old Palm Centro and really, all the phones I've ever owned, there was something I could press that would prevent the notification! However, nothing precludes the notification! and it's a good 30 seconds... That isn't a big deal when there is a text message, but when it is 4 text messages goes, it never stops!

  Dude you not follow this thing at all? It has been said, even with video tutorials how to do to transfer your old programs on the PalmOS emulator which will appear on the pre.

  I tried a few how to maintain my categories of my Palm Desktop calendars, but finally I just gave up and installed them all on a big Google Calendar and put it on my pre.  Now I have all these empty category on my pre calendars.  How can I delete a calendar?  I can't for the life of me find out.

  I HAD PALM PHONES FOR 10 YEARS... I see some stupid missing links in this new version...

  1. to speed up the dial I have to turn on the phone, unlock the phone, open the contact, person of goto, open the keyboard, reduce the size of the entry, press and hold enter speed dial, and the phone will dial the person... Am I missing something, or is this a ridiculous ritual, compared to the old way? It is faster to just dial the phone yourself, isn't it!

  3. contacts - if you have 4 different "doctors" in the contacts and don't remember all the names, without an access point 'Search', you're in trouble.

  4 calendar - whenever you make an entry, you must remove the default set 'alarm '... What is with that?  If you want to set an alarm, set one - don't eliminate it whenever I do an entry...

  5. Calendar - not 'look' ap?

  6 calendar - what is the purpose of the event 'place' - If you want to enter a location, enter his name - I don't know why it had to be put there as a permanent entry?

• Centro HotSync with Palm V6.2.2 hangs on the AGENDA - no record of calendar on the Palm Desktop

  First of all, let me say that I hate the new version of Palm Desktop 6.2.2 and ongoing problems, I do a hotsync.  Today, I had to restart my computer I "uninstalled" an unrelated program on my computer.  When I rebooted my computer and open my Palm Desktop, all calendar data was gone.  Since my Centro has recently been hotsync d, I hung up and tried to synchronize.  The device and the desktop 'locked' in the CALENDAR function.  I found another post on the Forum where people from tech support says to 'download the trial version of Pimlico DbFixit' which I did and ran.  It indicates a problem too: DB-SNLT calendar: Both Description and Note are empty - usually a registry damaged.  REC = Date of 1508 = 11/01/09.  I also went in Palm Desktop and in the section 'Applications' found 'AGENDA' and the Nations United CHECKED.  Execution of hotsync again once allowed me to update everything EXCEPT the calendar.

  HOW CAN I SOLVE THIS PROBLEM AND GET THE TIMING BACK ON MY DESKTOP?

• ITunes music not playing on the Palm Pre

  Okay, I need to confirm a hunch.  I have a PRE with 1.3.1 software.  Sync my Itunes with it and when I tried to playback, I noticed a few songs not played.  It didn't matter if I bought them in Itunes or not.  Some songs have been purchased and some did not.  After studying, I looked at the details for all the songs that have been downloaded.

  I did find the information on this subject.  Thanks in advance for the answers pertaining to this.  I have a feeling it has to do with a kind of protection that has since been laid off from Itunes.

  When I got my phone it took my gmail contacts automatically and put them in the list of contacts on my phone.  I now have contacts on my phone that I need to have in gmail as well.

• Spotify crashes / accidents of app on the Palm Pre 2

  I just downloaded the app Spotify for my Pre 2 and it immediately causes the whole phone to hang - I have to leave for a few minutes, then I can possibly close the application. I can't even type the first letter of my username Spotify. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a bugtracker that I can post this?

  Not supported in webOS 2.0, says on the page of the app.

• Amazon MP3 bought with the Palm Pre sync

  Until today, I didn't no problem syncing my MP3 bought on Amazon, with iTunes.  Twice today I have downloaded music from Amazon.  The first time I had 18 songs I wanted to move, none of them is over, and all have been removed.  So I downloaded again the same songs (paid for them even once!) plus an extra 3.  3 additional songs, I downloaded were very well synchronized with iTunes.  The other 18, disappeared again.  They are not on my phone, and they are not in my computer.  Anyone else have or had this problem?
