  If you have Lightroom 5 or above, you can use the Iphoto Import into Lightroom plugin to import images from Iphoto to Lightroom.

  In order to download/install Lightroom 5 on the other system, use the link below, once installed use the same serial number to activate the software.

  With respect to the reloading of the software on the laptop, I'm not too sure that any computer laptop is a little different.  In addition, I can't suggest that you do this, but only that it turns out that the issue is not device or Desktop Manager related but more a problem with the laptop.  Have you considered calling the seller of your laptop for some tips or tricks on this?  Have you thought about putting your Outlook information on another computer in the meantime, so you have at least your rear sync?

  There is no mechanism to turn on (or off) in Lightroom version 5 or earlier.

  If you don't want Lightroom to stay on your computer for possible future use, then just uninstall.

  No transfer is necessary, just install it.  If you already have the software enabled on both machines, you will need to disable one of them before it can be activated on another.

  I'm using Lightroom Mobile to sync files between my desktop and my laptop. Initially I got sync errors when I tried to sync the photos in a collection. Then I did the following:

  1. Lightroom preferences desktop > Lightroom Mobile > "delete all data".
  2. Stop Office Lightroom and delete the folder sync.lrdata

  I was finally able to synchronize the pictures on my desk.  When I log in Lightroom Mobile on my laptop, it gives me the message on the use of a catalog at a time. Asking if I want to delete and use the catalog in force or not to delete. No matter what I choose, once it is says synchronized none of the collections or pictures appear in my collection on my laptop. BUT if I chose to delete the catalog and then gets cut my connection on my desktop and I can no longer be synchronized on my desk. Then I have to go through all the steps listed above in order to synchronize again.

  Maybe I don't understand exactly how it is supposed to work. I guess that once a computer synchronizes a collection successfully then once a different device of the computer/mobile synchronizes with the same account credentials so that the collection appear in the new collection of devices list? Is this correct? Or am I missing something here?  What I have to share somehow photos or something?

  Mobile synchronization between different office/computer machines is not yet supported.  But you can synchronize between multiple mobile devices. -Guido

  Yes indeed. You can buy an update here: Software & Services. Select "Buy" next to Lightroom and then 'Upgrade' in the menu dropdown.

  If your new laptop is the same platform as your old computer (Mac or Windows), you can also try to Install Photoshop Lightroom 5. You will need to activate it with your serial number. Of course, there is no guarantee that the older software will work on a new system, but it could be worth it if the cash flow is a problem.

  I think that ultimately, I need help from technical support Adobe, but that throw out there for others who have similar questions.  I've had two different subscriptions with Adobe (don't ask why): (1) monthly subscription to the photographer who included Photoshop Lightroom and Photoshop CC, and (2) a single subscription to InDesign.  I obviously should have bought the full suite of CC knowing what I know now.  I noticed the Black Friday sale before Adobe offered and contacted support by chat for 1) cancel subscriptions for both above and 2) replace them by a subscription to subsequently complete CC I thought allowed access to all Adobe applications.

  When I run Lightroom in my identity plate area, I try to use Lightroom Mobile sync (worked until I canceled my photographer package) and am currently get a message that my laptop Lightroom has expired and cannot perform the synchronization between the Office of Lightroom and Lightroom on iOS.  When I connect to my account on the Adobe Web site to watch to see what subscriptions I active, I show two lists: (1) my newly acquired Creative Suite of cloud and the package of 2) my expired photographer listed have expired.

  Yet once again, I expect that the full suite of Cloud Creative should have allowed me to synchronize Mobile with Lightroom.  Instructions for Lightroom syncing seems to indicate that this is the case (screenshot below).  All advice appreciated words.

  I use an imac at home, a laptop on the road and a mini ipad.  Currently, I'm home for cc desktop synchronization but I'd like to find a way to easily sync the laptop for her. I would like to not have to use dropbox or another service of Cloud Computing to store my files, and it seems to me that cc should be able to do this.

  Synchronization is related to your account, the devices are not specific. It's just notoriously little reliable, this is why it never works. Dropbox or another service is the way to go.
