Q10 unlocked blackBerry BlackBerry Q10 for CDMA carriers

Anyone know if it is possible to get a Q10 BlackBerry unlocked for CDMA carriers?

You will need to ask them if they allow Verizon devices on their network and then compare the signal bands if AW is strips of the device.

  • BlackBerry Q10 can make a unlocked Blackberry works with Verizon?

I have a Q10, and I'm at the end of my contract. Verizon does not have a model I want. Also, they do not support the phone at the local level, but I have to stay with Verizon for the reception where I operate. I can slip my Sim Card into something like a passport and use it on Verizon?

Hello and welcome to the community!

You should consider the different models and submodels (for example, there are 4 variations of the Z10) to determine the characteristics of radio frequency technology / device. Then you must watch the carrier you want to operate on and determine if your specific device is compatible with their network or not. For example, if you choose a device variant which is not a CDMA radio inside, then it is impossible to use it on a CDMA support. Similarly the LTE and the support of the frequency bands. Your device must be compatible with your operator, otherwise the function is impossible.

Here is a sample of some resources that may be useful for you:

I am sure that, with a little digging, you will find resources that suit your specific needs.

In addition, often with CDMA carriers that go beyond simply to accept the SIM card inside a compatible device. Often, the CDMA carriers insist on a deeper inscription to their network, they do. And so, if they say 'no' to the device that you want to use (even if it is compatible), then there is no way to get around that. Some carriers do not allow the BYOD (bring your own device).

Basically, if I were you I talk to my carrier and see what they allow.

    Good luck!

  • Blackberry Curve 8320 unlocked blackBerry smartphones

    Hello

I have not actually bought my Blackberry yet, but I'm looking into it right now. I want to buy a unlocked Blackberry Curve 8320 which was previously on AT & T or T-mobile (I'm a couple more different). Anyway, I wanted to buy a Blackberry and place it on a data plan with Rogers Canada. I'm doing this because I want to be able to use BBM, so I think I need a data plan.

I buy the Blackberry separately because I want to be able to use overseas when I use another GSM SIM card for example. I know doing it on contract is cheaper, but I don't want to do that because I will be locked on a 3 year contract and I won't be at the Canada for 3 years.

I just want to know if the Rogers data network will work with a Blackberry unlocked as I described above. I asked Rogers customer service and they said that they cannot confirm that the Rogers data network will be to 'connect' with the unlocked Blackberry because it once belonged to another provider and I should buy a Blackberry from Rogers. I don't know if they just said that if I would buy the Blackberry from Rogers rather than elsewhere. I know the unlocked Blackberry should work fine with a regular for calls and SMS GSM SIM card and all that but I want to know specifically about BBM - ing.

Sorry, my question is so long. Thanks a lot for your help!

While Canadian companies may be different from their American counterarts I do not that the differences are only significant to materially affect my response.

When you buy a 'new' locked onto a support device will be offered the device at a price at a price significantly lower than the retail price recommended for her.  That's what prescribed contractual lock in as they recover for the duration of the contract, the difference between what you pay and the cost.  They're subsidizing the price in order to collect a healthy monthly fees for access.

All U.S. carriers require a data plan for smartphones in addition to any general "plans" for just minutes and text packages etc.  I guess that Canadian businesses require the same.

In order to use BBM you need a dataplan carriers which is what allows your device use the features of the BIS (Blackberry Internet service) requiring Blackberry data push, e-mail, all what is "data".

This is a new in the box device purchased by your friends at Rogers.  They sold you a Blackberry and they dance as they listen to the registry will chaching.  This is music to their ears.  This is an item being sold and it is "locked" to Rogers.  Of course, for each month of your servitude under contract happen to dance again once the Registry continues to provide them with more chaching.

You bought a camera from them, you can use it at this stage only with them.  They will be as you might or might not be aware subject to various and assorted penalties if you tire of their service or their absence and take your business elsewhere, or try.  Costs of early termination can easily exceed your initial cost plus for a premium, in a credit institution, violating laws governing wear.

It's what keeps dissatisfied customers even with the carriers that are less satisfactory.  It is just too expensive to leave while allowing some, but not all carriers for you 'sell' the balance of your contract to another.  If Rogers of permits that are unknown to me.

If you buy an "unlocked" device it is expected of the band is compatible with Rogers (GSM/CDMA as the case may be) perfectly capable to be activated on their network.

Their after-sales service is to use a euphemism, blowing smoke.  They know perfectly well that a device unlocked regardless of its origin.  They won't make you a device for which they do not receive rewarding chaching first and make run on their network.  Since you did not pay a subsidized price for the device that you are not obliged to a three-year plan or some length Rogers requires for locked for new devices.

While they play stupid indeed hoping you will buy them and locked himself in a service contract.  It's guaranteed money for thirty-six months.  It's a lot of money.

Assuming you get to admit only a 8320 unlocked (GSM) will play well with their network that you can buy a phone, monthly data on the plan without being locked in a period of time.

You will absolutely need the dataplan however, at least the minimum plan they offer will prevent access to the services that make it a Blackberry.

Of major importance for you in as long as purchaser of a used instrument is the only one not is indeed "unlocked" but the PIN was released by the former owner and the access to its carrier, T-Mobile or AT & T.  Every Blackberry is assigned a unique PIN that lives with her forever.  For example, if I want to sell my unlocked Blackberry Storm I will have to make arrangements for the release of the Verizon PIN so that a subsequent purchaser can activate the storm on Verizon (my service provider) or such that it is unlocked any service provider, as it really is a universal device capable of activation on a CDMA/GSM/UMTS network or Global.

I would like to buy a used if and only if it is verifiable that the PIN was released by the previous owner/carrier.  With the instrument in hand, it can be checked on the device or not it is unlocked.  The output of the SPINDLE must be verified by the previous carrier and I'm too cynical, but I wouldn't take the word of the seller unless it was a very trustworthy family member and even then, I would like to politely ask for verification.

Rogers wants money on your part.  They want the money upfront to sell you a Blackberry and they want the contract guaranteed money for the long term for the months down the line.  For Rogers, it's win/win.

You can, even if it's an expensive to buy a new device of Rogers at the MSRP and not you will not lock in a three-year contract.  The majority of carriers who does not advertise that the difference is more than lost long-term do not lock you in their.

I hope this helps.  If I appear cynical, it's because I am.  Carriers are there to increase their profits and integrity is lost in the maze.

  • Passport unlocked blackBerry Blackberry version

I have difficulties to find details about the compatibility of the unlocked version of the passport with international carriers.  The phone would be founded in the United States with ATT but would have to work almost everywhere in Europe and Africa.  We used different models previous BlackBerry successfully when traveling and just want tio confirm that this model would work as well.

The unlocked version has dual sim slots?

We tried to find a phone number for the pre sales questions but could not.  We have always purchased directly from a seller before but apparently have to order on the web for this model?

    Thank you.

    Hello!

BlackBerry passport is single-sim only and supports the following network bands.

    • FD - LTE 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 13, 17, 20 (2100/1900/1800/1700/850/2600/900/700/700/800 MHz)
    • HSPA + 1, 2, 4, 5/6, 8 (2100/1900/1700/850/900 MHz)
    • Quad band GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz)

To ensure 100% compatibility, I would recommend contacting the service provider you want to use with the passport of BlackBerry. For more details on specifications, check out the site Web de BlackBerry Passport here.

    I hope this helps!

My old Z10 of two years died a little more than a week.  (Yes, I tried all the stuff).  Using my Torch 9800 now, but the 3G is a bit slow.  So, I am interested in the jump.  I didn't buy a phone unlocked before, while I was just trying to confirm a number of things.

It will work with my ATT sim card, any measure special necessary?

I'll be able to restore my backup of my Z10 Blackberry link for the jump?

In addition, ATT gave a Z10 replacement for $215.  With the jump to $275, I think it's the best choice.  In addition, most of the phones (Samsung & iPhone) go far the expandable memory, which I use to save my data and backup on my external hard drive.

Sorry if I missed this information somewhere else.

OK, so have you followed all the steps in the tutorial to remove the cod browser_daemon file and replace as well as 10 to 12 steps I copied above?

Similarly, until you get the generic TMO service books copied on from TMO so pushed tutorial, you won't get anywhere.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones for Blackberry Spam filtering?

My Outlook filters a boatload of spam in the spam mail folder / in bulk, and I never see it, using only the always native junkmail from Microsoft. Which is excellent.

But every email that comes in outlook - pharma advertising or non - gets sent to the blackberry. Less great.

Is there a way to get only the emails that are not redirected to the SpamFilter coming to blackberry?

Thank you very much for your help.

NB: I am running Vista and the latest version of Outlook. If that matters.

Hi and welcome to the forums!

The BlackBerry smart phone doesn't have a spam filter. You can set filters on the BIS website for your carrier.

(if you do not know the BIS Web site for your carrier, send me the name and I can't find the BIS site.)

Here are two links for the site of the BRI and setting up filters:

Use the following post to remove the policy.

    http://www.BlackBerryForums.com/rim-software/67224-remove-policy.html

I don't know what they have done, instead, to block the pin code. However, to remove the policy most likely will give you your hotspot browser. The policy can also block the browser BIS so you will want to get rid of the policy.

Also, make sure that you don't always have the policy.bin on your pc or it will be applied after the abduction in method 1.

    Hi Timothy,.

You can use the software provided by the camera to transfer music from your device to the computer. You can consult the documentation provided with the device.

Windows Media Player is used to copy music, videos and pictures of the Player library to a portable device, such as a compatible MP3 player. See the link below

  • BlackBerry SDK for Windows 64-bit

    Good day everyone,

Please any action kindly with a link to Blackberry SDK for Windows 64-bit. I tried a lot of things, but received no satisfactory answer. Please share with me the URL link.

    Thanks in advance.

As far as I KNOW 64 but Java is not supported.  You will need to download the 32-bit version of Java.  If you really need the 64-bit for the treatment of the other then I think you can configure Eclipse to use a 32-bit version installed separately, but I suspect that will be easier remove the java 64-bit and 32-bit just run.

We understand that not all developers have access to a physical device, which is the Simulator comes in. The Simulator you usually gives a good idea of how your application will run on a physical device, and you can absolutely submit this application for review of the BlackBerry World. If problems arise, the BlackBerry World team will let you know of those that need to be corrected before the application can be approved for sale.

This is true for WebWorks, Android, etc. The BlackBerry World team reviews your application and provide feedback if there are all the important issues which seem to be broken. If you have tested the application elsewhere however, generally you should not be from.
