QNetworkReply: uploadProgress ends almost immediately

The QNetworkReply class allows the uploadProgress signal being captured. I do this when downloading a file via MAIL.  I then update a progress bar.  Unfortunately, the progress bar zooms in about 0.3 seconds, while the real upload lasts 6 seconds. (I am downloading of 150 on a 0.2 Mbps download link)

I did some Google search and found other people complaining about that, but without the slightest trace of why or how to solve this problem.

Wow, it actually seems to be a problem of Simulator. By operating the device, I get:

I can't tell you how much work I did try to correct these errors.  Ive contacted the manufacturer of the computer, game developers, posted on the Nvidia forums, followed on 1 billion troubleshooting suggestions, but no one seems to be able to precisely identify WHERE exactly the problem is, so I'm just shooting missles magic into the darkness.

Currently the manufacturer of the computer (Digital Storm) is blaming Nvidia, Nvidia says it's the games themselves, the game developers are to blame the manufacturer of model and Microsoft, particularly of directx, but more important still, nobody works actively for a solution except me.  I made the mistake of throwing a lot of money to play the latest titles and cannot.  Any ideas or suggestions that are new, I'll try.

    The system is:

    Windows 7 64 bit

Directx11 (downloaded library runtime dx and redist as suggested by others

NVIDIA GTX 470.  I have tried both drivers latest drivers 197,75 and 257.15 beta.

    EVGA x 58 the with Intel i7 930

memory of triple-channel 6 gb 1600 mhz (tested)

Just Cause 2 has been downloaded from Steam, DA was downloaded from the EA store, BFBC2 is a dvd.

Any help appreciated.  Thanks in advance

Fixed, he appears in addition to the question of Dx11 at the beginning that it was also a synchronization problem in the CMOS.  A digital storm rep called and accompanied me through the evolution of the tensions, multipliers and speed clock and everything seems to work fine now.

Thanks for the help and concern all.

I think I have found the cause of the problem, I tried to change my monitor one another, (from an old CPU), and it worked! Maybe it's just a faulty monitor that I guess and not a problem with the central unit. Thanks for your help!

  • ErrorString QNetworkReply "premature end of the document.

Everyone knows about this problem?  The answer comes back correctly for smaller responses (i.e. https://developer.blackberry.com/cascades/files/documentation/images/model.xml), but for larger responses, the response contains data answer, but not all (and I get the errorString "Premature end of the document").  Here is an example URL for a greater response: https://api.twitter.com/1/statuses/user_timeline.json?include_entities=true&include_rts=true&screen _...

The errorString seems to come from the QXmlStreamReader, but the fact remains that the QNetworkReply has an incomplete answer.

My apologies, looks like I posted a little prematurely on this one.  The answer came back in its entirety.  There were a couple of diversion that distracts me major problems:

    1. I was the XML parsing incorrectly
    2. It seems that if the answer is too long in the unit log, then the log of the unit will cut the message.  Is it possible to configure the log device is not for this?
    3. It seems that the response message has disappeared after using the following statement by qDebug().  This removes the data of 'response '?  I am a newbie in C++ from Java...

  • eMac stops almost immediately when starting after replacing HARD drive

    Hey all!

I need to explain a bit for this one, so please bear with me. Thank you.

Long story short, I've had a few eMacs for quite a while now and I recently found a use for them. I created a (it is running 10.4 with 1 GB of RAM and a > G4 processor at 1 GHz, can't remember) and used it for a while before randomly power loss and refused to stay on for more than a few minutes. I tried to replace the PMU battery with one of the other Mac and pressing the reset button, which leads to stop showing signs of life whatsoever (even after the replacement of the original battery).

Thinking I had it bricked, I got out one of the other Mac with a plan to give the disk of death. This new Mac running 10.5, perfect with another > G4 processor at 1 GHz (but only 768 MB of RAM this time). The only quirk I noticed is the TRC took abnormally long to warm up, black time with only red but gradually more luminous and no longer red colors of departure. It was about normal 5 minutes after that OSX end of initialization. In any case, I went to swap out hard drives and put everything to the top, to see that yet again, this new Mac does not work!

If it has been awhile since the last attempt to start the CRT will do its usual "bong" noise before machine clicks (sorta like a relay of power off) and nothing else happens. If I try again, the CRT is silent (no doubt he is already warm from the last attempt to start?) and you can hear two clicks - one that looks like something to turn it on, then turn it off even on front. These clicks are different lengths apart - usually, this is only a few seconds, but sometimes longer. There was a few times where the fans have started between clicks and I've even heard the startup chime on an attempt (which got me excited - but no, it clicked and distributed repressed). The CRT does not seem to do anything other than bonging from time to time (but it can turn on - I can't say because of the problem of the warm-up that I mentioned earlier).

I would really like to be able to resurrect this old Mac once again - I have the vague feeling that I broke it when replacing the HARD drive. I'm pretty sure that I have not forgotten all the internal cables, and I tried not to touch anything other than the HARD drive and the enclosure of the logic board (ended up having to remove the blower housing too, however). Two Macs are model A1002 and both have serial numbers in the YM412xxxxxx - YM520xxxxxx range (eligible for repair program?). I don't know if they were actually taken repair back in the day.

In any case, I hope you guys can help out me! Thanks in advance!

(P.S the first eMac is well beyond repair. I have also a third one - it is better to go by replacing the HARD drive again? It is worth noting that the PMU battery has been sitting on my desk for a while now. "It was probably flat anyway).

The HARD drive would be the problem? It seems that it is.

See if you can just unplug the data cable from HARD drive and try to hold down the alt or option to the startup/power.

  • Poor ESXi 4 NFS Datastore Performance with various NAS systems

    Hello!

In testing, I found that I get between a half and a quarter of the e/s inside a guest performance when ESXi 4 systems connect to the using NFS data store if the clients connect to the exact same NFS share.  However, I don't see this effect if the data store using iSCSI or local storage.  This has been reproduced with different systems running ESXi 4 and NAS systems.

My test is very simple.  I created naked CentOS 5.4 minimum installation (completely updated 07/04/2010) with VMware Tools loaded and the creation time of a file of 256 MB using jj.  I create the file on the root (a VMDK stored in different data warehouses) partition or a directory of the NAS mounted via NFS, directly in the comments

My crucial test configuration consists of a single test PC (Intel 3.0 GHz Core 2 Duo E8400 CPU with a single Intel 82567LM-3 Gigabit NC and 4 GB RAM) running ESXi 4 connected to a printer HP Procurve 1810 - 24 G, which is connected to a VIA EPIA M700 NAS system running OpenFiler 2.3 with two 1.5 to 7200 tr / MIN SATA disks configured in front of software RAID 1 and dual Gigabit Ethernet NIC.  However, I have reproduced it with different ESXi PC and NAS systems.

This is a release of one of the tests.  In this case, the VMDK is a store of data stored on the NAS via NFS:

    -

    root@iridium /sync #; Sync; Sync; time {dd if = / dev/zero of = bs = 1 M count = test.txt 256 sync; sync; sync ;}}

The first dd is a VMDK stored in a connected via NFS data store.  The dd ends almost immediately, but the synchronization takes nearly 40 seconds!  It's less than 7 MB per second transfer rate: very slow.  Then I get the exact same NFS share that ESXi is used to store data directly in the comments and repeat the DD.  As you can see, the SD is longer and the synchronization takes no real time (as befits a NFS share with active sync), and the whole process takes less than 10 seconds: this is four times faster!

I don't see these results on data warehouses mounted via NFS.  For example, here is a test on the guest even running from a mounted via iSCSI data store (using the exact same SIN):

    -

    root@iridium /sync #; Sync; Sync; time {dd if = / dev/zero of = bs = 1 M count = test.txt 256 sync; sync; sync ;}}

As you can see, the performance of NFS direct comments for each of the three are very consistent.  ISCSI and the performance of the store local data disk are both a bit better than that - as I expect.  But the mounted via NFS data store gets only a fraction of the perfomance of the any of them.  Obviously, something is wrong.

I was able to reproduce this effect with an Iomega Ix4 - 200 d as well.  The difference is not as dramatic, butalways important and consistent.  Here is a test of a guest of CentOS using a VMDK stored in a data store provided by an Ix4 - 200 d via NFS:-.

    root@palladium /sync #; Sync; Sync; time {dd if = / dev/zero of = bs = 1 M count = test.txt 256 sync; sync; sync ;}}

Once more, the direct NFS mount gives very consistent results.  But using the diskette provided by ESXi on a mounted NFS datastore gives still worse results.  They are not as terrible as OpenFiler test results, but they are constantly between 60% and 100% longer.

Why is this?  What I've read, NFS performace is supposed to be within a few percent of the iSCSI performance, and yet I see between 60% and 400% worse performance.  And this isn't a case of the SIN is not able to provide correct NFS performance.  When I connect to the NAS via NFS directly inside the guest, I see much better than when ESXi connects to the same NAS (the same proportion!) via NFS.

The configuration of ESXi (network and network cards) is 100% stock.  There is no VLAN in place, etc., and ESXi system has only one

Single Gigabit adapter.  It is certainly not optimal, but it doesn't seem to me to be able to explain why a virtualized guest is able to get a lot better performance NFS as ESXi itself to the same NAS.  After all, they both use the same exact suboptimal network configuration...

Thank you very much for your help.  I would be grateful any idea or advice, you might be able to give me.

    Hi all

It is very definitely a performance O_Sync problem. It is well known that NFS VMware shops still use O_Sync for writes little matter what share put for a default value. VMware uses a custom file locking system so you really can't compare it to a normal NFS share connection to a different NFS client.

I have validated that the performance will be good if you have an SSD cache or storage target with enough reliable battery backup.

  • USB hub on iMac end 2015

I recently bought an iMac, retina 4K with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB disc Fusion. It is currently running 10.11.4. I had previously used a beginning 2008 20 "iMac also runs 10.11.4.

The old iMac has a motor attached Kensington 7-port hub which works fine on this machine. I had thought to transfer this hub to my new Mac - even if it's only USB 2 it would be great for my backup drives, printers and scanner.

However, when I connect the hub to the new iMac, it is acknowledged and reset then almost immediately by the Mac that makes it completely useless. The hub always works on my old Mac as well as on my Macbook Pro (early 2011).

Does anyone have a suggestion as to how I could make the hub work? You can also (since I'll get one the end anyway) is a seven hub USB 3 ports, which is known to work with this model of iMac, which does not cost the Earth and is available in the United Kingdom. I love the look and the price of the Orico hub and wonder if that market.

I think the problem is that the USB 2 is not compatible, it must be USB3.

However, read this Apple Knowledge Base article and see if it offers additional guidance.

  • Will be the end of 2009 MacBook Support 8 GB (2x4GB) Ram?

I just updated my MACBook late 2009 with 8 GB RAM (2 x 4 GB cards). The computer works fine and recognizes the upgrade. Should I worry that article states that the max memory is 4 GB?

N ° Apple will not refresh their specifications max after their release.

According to OWC, your Mac can take 8 GB very well.

RAM problems would have shown almost immediately.

  • My mail on the iPad Mini screen prevents timing and immediately goes back to the homepage

Whenever I select mail mail page comes and then, almost immediately, return to the home screen

    on the mini

Could be an application running that is causing a conflict with mail.

Follow the instructions for the force to leave applications running here > force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch - Apple Support

    Then restart your iPad.

    1. Press and hold the sleep/wake button until the Red slider appears.
    2. Drag the slider to turn off your device completely off.
    3. Once the device turns off, press and hold the sleep/wake button again until you see the Apple logo.

    Then try to Mail.

  • Stimulus profile stops logging immediately (custom steps)

Greeting together again! I use the 2012 here all versions (VS TS, LV and tiara), and I also use for TS VS Custom steps. I have a TS main sequence that does all the work of configuration and custom installation via subsequences and steps VS. The only thing I use the profile of Stimulus for connects at this point, and for some reason any resultant TDMS file holds only six data points (record at 100 Hz). It seems that it starts and stops immediately, and I can't understand why.

The only steps I have in the profile of stimulus steps Start Logging and group channels. There is no step, newspaper stop, so logging should not stop until the TS of the sequences of the project undeplous, as far as I understand it. Triggered trigger Condition logging is set to none, and file segmentation is set to do not Segment.

Anyone can shed light on what is happening here?

If I understand correctly, your profile of Stimulus stops almost immediately, because it is call a step to start recording. After that, the profile is done. Is this correct?

  • Sync turns off immediately when I allow

Because the upgrade file synchronization goes off almost immediately when I turn it on. Some synchronization happens - Typekit seems to work and a few backup files are on the list of the cloud. But whenever I run the CC file synchronization application is set to off. When I turn it on the light stays on but I get a notification (a fast ball) that sync is off. When the computer reboots, it is always disabled. I'm on Win7 and in the previous version, the automatic backup of cloud at first would always be reset OFF. I don't see a place to download a file, but I see that the files are generated by a number of error messages from the log. Here are some:

I replaced the adobe_id above with x - don't know if that would be readable

Delete the CoreSync directory mentioned in the previous link and leave the CC app create a new. Works fine now.
