  As far as I know the audio internal Microphone is not available on the Qosmio G20-120.
  You can connect an external microphone to a microphone which is placed on the left side of the device.

  I can see vague and wink on my screen when the brightness is set to 2 or 3 levels under the maximum, and the background of the display is set to dark grey (or other color non-black)

  But to look for in * Archives * because your laptop is a former model.

  Hi all.
  I tried to install some linux distro in a new qosmio g20. Only knoppix 3.8 and 4.0 CentOS have some chance to install, the other distributions can´t recognize the hd or dvd (on Ubuntu), but the distributions that have installed the Hd become unstable, can´t stop, if I do because the hd is not collapsed shutdown, can´t, etc... Someone tried to do? Any chance to install linux on this notebook?

  It's always a problem with Linux as the OS is not supported by Toshiba. In this case, you're on your own.

  Watch DVD movies cannot be because of the following strange problem.

  When I use WMP I get message wrong Copyright (with all the DVD movies), for all other programs (WinDVD, AnyDVD) it is black screen and some sound problems.

  I tried to re - install WMP and WinDVD, but there is no result.

• Qosmio G20-120: 1080 p HD video question - photo stucks for 1-2 seconds

  Hi guys,.
  I have problems with playback of 1080 p HD progressive video on my G20-120. Photo gets stuck for 1-2 seconds every 5-7 seconds. Sound has no problem.
  I try to close all programs and applications that are running, but again it gets stuck. These help anyone make you think:

  1 - upgrade 1 GB RAM to 2 GB
  2-overclocking either the CPU or the video card (I don't know if its possible at all) if so how do you?
  3. change the 128 MB 256 MB video card (again once I'm not sure if it can be changed)

• Still cannot find Vista drivers or support for Qosmio G20-120 page

  I've upgraded to Vista Home Premium and everything works fine except for the Toshiba commom modules and energy savings, and bluetooth. Toshiba USA has implemented support for Toshiba USA computers pages only.

  I tried some of the drivers toshiba USA and got my audio to work. No luck with the others. If anyone knows a place for these drivers please let me know.

  I bought my Qosmio G20-120 of the Poland that came with D video cable SCART. This cable is only capable of transferring video signals (CVBS) which is pretty useless, because Qoismio already has a S-video out... What is the best simple video production I can get to SCART.
  According to www.toshiba-europe.com Qoismio is supposed to have video output component. But it comes with cable SCART instead. I always try to make this component video cable D-video of the Distributor. If I don't succeed, does anyone know if and where I can buy this cable in Europe? Or is it possible to make a video component with the D-video out D-video cable with cable SCART?
  Everyone last tried the channels high definition DVB-S on Qoismio using USB 2.0 DVB - S TV Card.Any opinions on Pinnacle PCTV 400e?

  Sorry, but I don t agree with you. SCART in my opinion is always better than S-Video. As far as I know cable SCART can transfer image and sound and picture just S-Video. Am I wrong?

  I recently bought a set of bluetooth stereo headphones (Creative CB2350) and found that, because of the inclusion of SCMS-T copyright protection I can't audiosync directly to my computer laptop bluetooth stack (Qosmio G20). The headphones come with an audio jack adapter (bluetooth transmitter), but it runs on a single AAA battery and cannot last more than an hour; So I need to connect without it.

  Is there a way to disable or circumvent the requirement for protection by copyright SCMS-T in the last toshiba bluetooth stack? and if not why not? I paid a lot of money for my Qosmio and my helmet and I'm leaving furious inclusion deliberate software/firmware designed to keep me from using my material for legitimate purposes (i.e. what they were designed to do).

  PS: Frankly I didn't really a problem with DRM technology before that, but now I can see how irritating and pointless DRM is. Compare the number of people using bluetooth devices for piracy (negligible) number of bluetooth headset that does not support the MAN - T (a lot if all my google searches are anything to go by) and see you how stupid the idea of DRM via bluetooth is really.
  In my opinion not so humble large commercial companies like toshiba should woven converluted pap as SCMS-T as a matter of appeal; the final user does not want to spend several years download licenses and scouring the web only to find out access to his material is totally useless. (Sorry for the rant, but that's how I feel).

  IM using qosmio G20 Win Xp (MCE).
  The problem is that if I open the audio device and its control panel shows that is no audio device.
