  Hi Tom,

  near cache before cards do not store the entries inserted in the back cover, so if you have saved a listener on the front plane, you will get the notification to the listener on the plan before all the inserts in the back cover of other nodes.

  It's a little different for entries that have been asked by the local node through the near cache (not directly on the distributed back cache). If the cache almost didn't get call so far, then they will not go into the front plane, so it's the same as if inserted directly into the back cover. It is the starting of the near cache behavior. After the first EEG puts will be cached in the front plane. Once that puts is cached in the front plane, then the listener before card will see put through the cache close to the same node, but not of other nodes.

  Also, the cache near registers a listener lite, so it becomes not the input values changed, as the keys.

  A listener that you entered on the back cover will see each insertion, if you do not save a MapEventFilter or a MapEventTransformer custom with the listener. A MapEventFilter can filter inserts away (I think, the cache similar to that, too).

  I have a simple report where I have a user (item number) setting, if a user wishes, allows to get information about this number of points. If the user does not meet in this setting at the time of the report, must be given all the results of the query.   Can send you the query used by your report? There are two ways I can think off of the top of my head for this problem. First of all, to DECODE the item_number so parameter if it is null, it uses the value of database for the item_number. Second, allows you to encode a trigger After-Parameter-shape (CSA) to test if item_number is null and is not null, add it to your report query using a lexical parameter and add "ITEM_NUMBER =: P_ITEM_NUMBER" to the query.

  Here is an example of option 1:

  SELECT *
    FROM products
   WHERE item_number = DECODE(:p_item_number,null,item_number,:p_item_number)
  

  Here is an example of the second option:

     SELECT *
       FROM products
     &WHERE  /* here's the Lexical Parameter */
  

  If no item_number is given, and WHERE there is NO, so it has no effect on the query. If an Item_Number is given, then your trigger CSA would look like this:

     END IF;
  END;
  

  The resulting query that running would look like this:

     SELECT *
       FROM products

  As far as I know that Toshiba laptops are delivered with various wireless network cards; for example with Intel or Atheros WLan card.

  First of all, you should check you seller of WLan cards. If you are using the Intel card, possibly the Intel ProSet WLan utility is installed and try to configure the WiFi connection.

  If you use the Atheros WLan card eventually the WLan Atheros Client Utility tries to set up and establish the connection.

  So, you can use either such 3rd utility or you will use the Windows own option to use the WiFi network.
  If you want to use clean Windows Wireless Auto Configuration, you can enable it in the network-> properties from the network connections wireless-> tab-> choose brand wireless networks the option called use Windows to configure my wireless network

  But if you want to use one of the 3rd party (Intel, Atheros) configuration utility, and then start just such program, and check the settings.

• Question about security using remote assistance

  If I use my PC remotely, help another computer that I suspect is infected by a virus, are there chances to infect my computer?

  Not usually.  I would use a software reliable connection remote/assist.  My favorite is TeamViewer, but he has no other choice.  Or those yet integrated.

  But is generally not a risk especially if you do not have any file transfers.  Remote Desktop and programs like it have the ability to share disks and transfer files, but if you just display and control of the screen, the program would ignore any request from nothing else to do.  And of course your local machine still has the firewalls and security software.

• Question about setting up a VLAN

  Let me start by saying: I am a network/security engineer.  I am new to VMWare, so this can be a very simple question.  Can someone point me to the documentation, confirm my assumptions, or help me to understand how to configure multiple VLANs on a single VSwitch.  I have several servers that contain only two cards that are based on the ESXi5.0.  I configured for the management of one and the other should be used for Virtual Machines.

  I need to have several VLANs on each server ESXi.  From what I've seen so far, I'm assuming I need to use the VSwitch Exchange.  I think I need marking in the portgroup (s) of installation and make sure that they match the VLan ID that I use on the physical switch.  I think the next thing to do is to associate the second physical NETWORK adapter to the VSwitch with all groups of defined Port.  Then make sure that the port on my switch is configured as a Trunk for all port the VLAN identified in the port group.  The switch is a device of L3, so all the routing between VLANs would be processed by switch.

  Is this correct, or I'm completely off base on that?

• Question about setting up Site Studio

  OK, so we'll use site studio to generate web pages for our project, but I think I hit a nasty wall that I'm a little lost with. Of what I've read, you can run "site studio.exe" (or something to that effect) out of the windows machine, what University Complutense of MADRID was installed. The problem is the AAU has been installed on a device of based nux and the only way I can access the server through windows is via SSH.  If I am on how to run the Studio Site is anyway around the fact that it's on nux. Or is my hypothesis on the Site Studio even right to start?

  SiteStudio is used to generate Web sites. It is a component that runs on any content server installation, regardless of the environment.

  The file "sitestudio.exe" thingy is an IDE editor that allows you to change the structure of the sitestudio site and other things. It is not required for anyone, except the developer. It's not not to be installed on the server. You can run it on any Windows machine, including your desktop computer, which can connect to the content server.

If the structure that I would recommend would look like this:

  -etc.

  It works very well! But now, I created another user who uses EasyVPN client software to connect to the EasyVPN server. This works as well.

  But how am I able to connect customer network 192.168.1.0/24 on the connections of the ASA?

  Yes, if you set the ACL of split tunnel correctly you should be able to connect to the remote client ASA.

• The question of performance - cached data from a large table

  Hi all

  I have a general question about caching, I use an Oracle 11 g R2 server.

  I have a large table on 50 million lines, which is very often consulted by my application. Some query runs slowly and some are ok. But (of course) when the data in the table is already in the cache (so basically when a user asks the same thing twice or several times) it works very quickly.

  Does anyone have any recommendations on the caching of data / table of this size?

  One thing I would check is if you still get the same execution plan - Oracle here estimates are out by a factor of about 95 (7 100 vs 68 500 returned planned lines) may be a part of your change in the calendar refers to plan changes.

  If you check the numbers you will see about half your time came to survey the unique index, and half visited the table. In general, it is hard to beat Oracle to cache algorithms, but the indexes are often much smaller than the paintings they cover, so it is possible that your best strategy is to protect this index at the expense of the table. Rather than trying to create a cache to KEEP the index, however, you MIGHT find that you get some advantage to create a cache of RECYCLING for the table, using a small percentage of available memory - the goal is to arrange things so that the table blocks that you revisit do not grow the index blocks that you will come back to memory.

  Another detail to consider is that if you visit the index and the table completely random (for 68 500 sites), it is possible that you find yourself re-reading blocks several times during the visit. If you order the intermediate result set of driving all table first you find you're walk the index and the table in the order and that you don't have to reread all the blocks. It's something that only you can know, however.  The code will have to change to include a view of inline with a dash of no_merge and no_eliminate_oby.

• Question about ESXi and NFS

  Greetings!  I'm hoping to get feedback on the following possible scenerio.

  Computer 1:

  The computer that is running Windows Server 2008.  Large amount of storage available, via dedicated hardware raid or 'software' / raid ICH10.

  Computer 2:

  Computer running ESXi v4 (installed on the local hard drive).  Core2Quad w / 8 GB RAM.  Responsible for about 4-5 virtual machines.  Each virtual computer will be low IO load (DCs environment lab, MySQL server, web server).

  I have three questions:

  1. are there any problems with the use of the space on 1 computer through Windows 2008 NFS to host virtual machines that will run on computer 2.

  2. because I do not use hardware RAID on computer 2, I won't RAID1 for redundancy.  If the hard drive fails, but virtual machines are on a redundant protected NFS share on Computer1, is there loss of data outside the need to reinstall ESXi on a new hard drive?

  3. someone can tell the performance of a 'software' RAID (probably RAID5) NFS share (ICH10, etc.) from the point of view of virtual machines hosting?

  Although the NFS Windows service is not the most ideal, it will work fine. You want to make sure there is no automated etc. updates and limited storage functions of the machine.

  It would not be otherwise than a hardware failure on any machine. You don't have the risk of data damage whether physical or virtual.

  Without hardware raid with a caching controller you won't have better disk performance. Controllers setting cached on RAM and will require a battery to protect the cache failure.
