Question about the operating system reinstall on Portege R500

I bought the version of 64SSD R500, and for some reason any that it struck me to check if there was a DVD player to this topic.

It was rather annoying.

I know it's easy to buy an external drve to copy software etc on the Portege, so this isn't so bad.

However, I'm considering a re - install, possibly to XP, but maybe just to reduce the amount of repulsive of bloatware I had on my computer when I turned on.

Now to the crux of the matter: if I use an external USB drive, I need USB drivers. If I delete the operating system, which will remove the drivers.

Finally, my question is: how in the name of hell is someone supposed to put a new installation in a R500?

Thank you for your patience.

I understand everything up to the point with the bloatware.

But what I Don t understand is: what do you want with a USB hard drive? I hope that you don t average a USB - HDD (it s a bit confusing). ;)

Usually, you can use all the drives without the need of some drivers because the machine offers you the ability to boot from a USB device after switching on of the machine and see the Toshiba logo...
You need only press F12 and select the option to boot from an external USB CD/DVD drive. That's all.

Welcome them

    Hello

I use as storage oracle 11 GR 1 option matter and ASM. the sys user is Administrator of the ASM, but I am not able to access ASM instance with the sys user. Yes, and that's because the user of the OS who need all permissions to administer the instance ASM 'oracle '.

Yes, it's because "sys" is (in your case is obviously) user OS that do not need all permissions to administer the ASM instance.
Then, when you're OS user oracle, unlike when you're OS user sys, you are able to connect to the DSO with the SYS user database

My question is, can only the user oracle ASM operations do.

Each user of the operating system with appropriate permissions can do

  • Delete/reformat the drive hard partition (s) to activate the operating system reinstall

I have a HP 2000 2b09wm. He just broke, gives me the error message saying in that I needed a new hard drive. Suppose the old went kaput (even though I bought this pc on eBay not a month or two before). I have a new HD and a Windows 8 reinstall the software from a dealer on eBay. I tried several routes to try to reinstall the OS, resulting in many dead ends *. I asked the dealer to help, but did not get much. The last thing he offered was to remove the partitions in the new HD. I looked at a page eHow, how to remove Partitions on a hard drive. It is said to get a CD which includes fdisk.com. I burned super fdisk (2 MB) of SFbootablecd.iso and fdisk (40 MB) of fd11src.iso. I went into the BIOS to set the boot order. I put the saved first, CD/DVD-ROM internal drive and tried the two CDs. It always starts with just a screen with this:

    Not found boot device
Please install an operating system on your hard drive
    Hard drive (3F0)
    F2 System Diagnostics
For more information, please visit: www.hp.com/go/techcenter/startup

I even tried to put the CD/DVD ROM USB drive first... same results.

So my questions to you, I guess, is first of all, why the CDs fdisk is not start? I burn the evil fdisk? Second, do you know why my OS couldn't be installed using the software to reinstall? The guy I got it (http://www.ebay.com/itm/181524428825?_trksid=p2060778.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT) , verified_computer_specialists, has excellent comments, so I guess that the software is legitimate and the computer is actually original with Windows 8.

    Thank you.

    -drive that does not fingerprint
-Lock button battery that came loose.

What do I have to pay when I give to my laptop for these problems?

    Hello Karel

At first, I have to say that this forum is the forum of users and what you need is accurate answers, from people who know exactly how it works with guarantees and laptops issues different.
Here you can read some personal opinions, but what you need is accurate information about all this.

We recommend that you contact the nearest Toshiba service provider in your country as soon as possible. Don t wait too long because warranty time. Call or visit them in service directly, show the problems and ask them all.
They will explain how it works.
I can't say for sure, but I think that all this should be covered by the warranty.

  • Question about the operation of the command "static"...

I have an obligation to protect a single system using maximum connections embryonic tag on the end of the command "static." However, the subnet of class-C all this machine is underway and is already covered by a large static for the whole subnet.

Question: Static commands like routing in the IOS commands, where the itinerary trumps the more generic road? See--->

If I have a static which publishes 10.1.1.0 (class-C), but I put an another static, with * parameters * for 10.1.1.27/32, you take effect?

    -Alex

From my understanding of what you're trying to accomplish, I think you would want the opposite--static specific for 10.1.1.27 should be higher in the order than the more general 10.1.1.0 static. In this way, if an xlate must be built for the 10.1.1.27 host, specific static will take it. If the xlate is for something else in the 10.1.1.0 subnet, it will bypass the specific static and hit the more general one. Make sense?

  • Question about the feature keys FN on Portege R200

Hello! My laptop is a Portege R200

I cleaned up my HARD drive and installing WXP Pro

I downloaded all the drivers for the Toshiba site R200

Now the problem is that there are two kinds a change of the device driver display

I installed the first called TDspBtn and now I am able to get the LCD, LCD + CRT or CRT by pressing Fn + F5. I do not like this feature because theres no icon displayed as brightness oder speaker power.

The other is TFnF5. If I click on it, nothing happens and the function FN + F5 is still the TDspBtn.

    ------------------------

My next prob is the FN + F8 combination. I installed the driver from wirlesshotkey and nothing happens if I press FN + F8
Normally using this utility you can switch of Bluetooth for wireless connection by pressing Fn + F8. If Bluetooth is not available, it will turn on and outside wireless lan.

    Please help me!

    Greetings from the Germany

    Hello

It is not easy to give you the right answer because this FN feature does not depend on a tool only. The fact is that several separate components must be installed correctly.
On the Toshiba download page, I saw that there are two different models of the Portege R200. I don't know which you have, but for each of them you will find the document Instructions facilities with the exact order of installations.

So what you need to do is to install all the drivers, tools and utilities following this order of installations.
If all the components must be installed correctly. After doing this, all these processes are running in the background and you can use all the functions FN.

The same situation is for the FN + F8.

  • Qosmio G30-117 PQ30E: Question about the operation of Vista

Newbie here, just wonderd if anyone has had the joy in Vista on laptop here G30-117, I can't get it to load.

    Hello

I installed the Vista two weeks ago on the G30 and I was able to load it.
I think that you can not install Vista because you have wrong RAID settings in the BIOS.
The RAID must be set to 0-RAID-1. After this change, you must confirm the settings with the string 1234 and enter.

  • Deleted the operating system preloaded PC that has no restore disk.

Original title: my stupid mistake: deleted operating system pre-loaded PC that has no restore disk. How can I the system works again with the original software?  Please notify.

I am the original owner of an e-machine model (office) preloaded 32 bit ET1161-07, labeled with Windows Vista Home Premium SP1.  4050th AMD Athlon tm X 2 processor.  NVIDIA GEForce 6150SE integrated.   I know almost nothing about the operating system, and while he was trying to destroy the virus, I deleted all the files from hard drive, even those inside what I understand now was a protected partition.  Now I hear the disks with this computer not restore disks, I made a huge mistake delete these files. e-Machines Web site indicates that they no longer provide a restoration for this model drive, but they have the driver files on their website so I copied all the files on a flash drive.  I have a copy of the diskette MS Office Home and Student 2007 that I bought at Best Buy, shortly after I bought this computer (also at Best Buy).  I also have an e-machines CD accompanying desktop, but I realize now it is not bootable and has only a power supply and Acrobat Reader.  I thought that the MS Office Home and Student 2007 would be bootable and include the operating system, but seems not to be the case.  What should I do now?  Help, please.  Thank you!!

    Hello

You can use a Microsoft Vista DVD for resettlement purposes (borrow one from a friend), which contains the files for the different editions of Vista must be installed. The product key on your computer case will determine which Edition is installed.

Builders recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as well as 32-bit and 64-bit editions different DVD lights.

  • Portege 3440CT reinstalling the operating system and error NTLDR

    Hi all

I have a Portege 3400 I picked up a few years ago when starting a business. The machine was made by many, and it no longer starts. I want to reinstall the OS - the only problem is that I don't have the original CD Rom drive that came with the unit. I have a portable CD player that I can plug into the USB port of the adapter, but during the taking of a boot device, it is not yet trying to look for the CD player and immediately gives me an NTLDR error.

The only option for the boot device which does not give me the same error is when I take the network (Lan), but I have no idea how to do to set up my local network so I can use it as a source for the reinstallation of the operating system.

    Can someone help me?

    Thank you

The error NTLDR says that your device or disk is not bootable. What OS did you use? I know that Windows NT doesn't support USB.

  • Impossible to download and reinstall the operating system after erasing HD

Yesterday morning, my iMac won't start.  It was fine the night before.

The progress bar reaches about two thirds to three quarters of the way to the end when the bar of progress disappears and I find myself with a gray screen. It does this by starting too.

I followed the advice of Linc Davis at https://discussions.apple.com/message/21333265 (hash) 21333265 (Note - I can't find the symbol of hash on my keyboard key so if you if know where he is, please replace by in the link - oh (hash) and tell me where it's too please ;-)).

I started the Revovery volume (now here actually).  Run Disk Utility/First aid finds no problem with MacIntosh HD (my boot drive). I can't find how to repair permissions.  The option no longer seems to be there. Reset NVRAM has nothing else that makes the iMac wonder my preferred language.

I used download and reinstall OS option.  The first time I tried to re-download El Capitan, it took 15 minutes and 45 minutes to install.  Installation failed leaving me to the grey screen again.  I think that the Setup program itself was trying to restart the iMac when he got stuck in the same place I'm stuck.  I left it there for about six hours before I tried to restart manually.

Tried to download the operating system again. This time, it was after using the recovery volume, select MacIntosh HD, by using erasing, then the option reinstall in THE.

I did two times now.  The first time I tried 'Erase and re - install' the download bar has got to a point about a third of the way across, and then he stopped. Time of download bar gradually got more and more long, up to what I canceled it (when the display estimated download time is six and a half).  The internet connection was problematic, or the Mac had stopped download (similar to the earier progress bar).  The second attempt to delete and download, the download bar has not yet started to progress.

My HARD drive has several volumes.

    1. The most important. My MacIntosh HD with OS 10.11.4 - El Capitan.
    2. The second, MacIntosh HD 2, is about 50 GB, a Mavericks installed on it.
    3. The third is 10.11.4 recovery volume.
    4. The fourth is another volume of recovery for the Mavericks.
    5. There is another called eDrive bulkhead.

Apart from MacIntosh HD, with none of these volumes I problems in starting up (with the possible exception of the Mavericks resumed, that I have not tried to access all since the update to El Capitan).

I used first aid utility disk several times, and no problems have been reported. I used the version of El Capitan permanently.

I can't understand why, after erasing the MacIntosh HD to do it again, I can't get the iMac to download the MacOS and reinstall.

    A couple of clues-

    • After his clear utility drive always reports what is MacIntosh HD. (When I restart, the dialog "Select Start Drive" only shows the volume of the Mavericks and eDrive)
    • Disk utility also shows "Apple Disk Image/OS X Base System."  OF THE said that it is ejection. But this button does not work.  I suspect it's what might stop download me the installer and start again.

I used e-drive to check the iMac and, in particular, the drive HARD; even performed a surface scan.  No problems have been reported.

Your 2007 iMac is too old to download OS X, you need to install OS X since the recovery partition directly. If this does not work then Yes, something is wrong with your HD run Apple Hardware Test Mode Extended 2 - 3 times back to back, if errors appear which confirms what I said. You will need the original DVD that came with the computer in order to run it.
