Question of AnyConnect with Cisco ASA 5505

I keep hitting my head against the wall on this one. Whenever I try to connect to the AnyConnect SSL VPN I get the following error

"No address available for an SVC connection.

Up and down, I checked that my VPN pool be present and assigned. I have removed/re-added it so many times. I use the SMDA to implement through the wizard. Any help please?

Here is my config

It seems that you are falling into default group policy.  You must activate the tunnel-group-list under the webvpn that allows users to select the group to which they connect, or set the attributes of the user to force the user into the correct connection profile...

  • VLANS with Cisco ASA 5505 and non-Cisco switch

I have an ASA5505 and a switch Netgear GSM7224 L2 that I try to use together.  I can't grasp how VLANs (or at least how they should be put in place).  When configuring my VLAN on the ASA5505 it seems simple enough, but then on my switch, I thought I'd create just the same VLAN numbers that I used on the SAA and then add the ports that I wanted to use for each VLAN.

Currently on my ASA, I have the following VLAN configured...

    outside - vlan11 - Port 0/0

    inside - vlan1 - Port 0/1

    dmz_ftp - vlan21 - Port 0/2

    Port of Corp - vlan31 - 0/3

I need to do the same thing on my switch as well...  On my way, I'm a little confused as to how I need to configure the VLAN.  Below is the screenshot of web GUI...

Note: Normally you can now change the VLAN ID (red), but in this case the default vlan (vlan id 1) may not be changed or deleted, you can does not change its settings.

Tagged (green), Untagged (purple) and Autodetect (yellow) you must select at least 1.  I'm not sure how to in one place to tell my inner vlan (vlan1).

I want VLAN1 ports 1-8 on my Netgear switch used alone to talk to interface/0/1 on the ASA5505 port.  I don't want to NOT port 9-24 able to talk to ports 1-8 on the Netgear switch ports OR 0/0, 0/2 - 0 / 7 on the Cisco ASA 5505.

So, how can I configure my inner Vlan1 on ports 1-8 on the switch?  Do mark, UNTAG, autodetect them?  What about tours?  I've been a bit the impression that I would set up my VLAN on both devices, then trunk port 1 and dedicate this port on both devices to nothing other than the sheath and the security of vlan would then take the packages where they need to go.  Is this the wrong logic?

    Hi Arvo,

If the port of the ASA is just part of a single VLAN (i.e. e0/0 single door 11 VLAN), this is called an access port. If the port of the ASA had to carry several VLANs, it would constitute a Trunk port.

To access ports (VLAN unique), you must set the switch corresponding to be unidentified for port this VLAN individual. If you decide to configure a trunk port, then the port of the switch must be set for labelling for each of VLAN who win the trunk.

    For example, ASA I have:

    interface Ethernet0/1

    switchport access vlan 20

    !

    interface Vlan20

    nameif inside

    security-level 100

    ip address 192.168.100.254 255.255.255.0

With the above configuration, the configuration of the switch would look like this (assuming the e0/1 port of the SAA is connected to 0/1 on the switch):

    VLAN 20 - 0/1 = untagged

If instead you use a trunk port, the config would look like this:

    interface Ethernet0/0

    switchport trunk allowed vlan 10,20

    switchport mode trunk

    !

    interface Vlan10

    nameif outside

    security-level 0

    ip address dhcp setroute

    !

    interface Vlan20

    nameif inside

    security-level 100

    ip address 192.168.100.254 255.255.255.0

Assuming that the ASA e0/0 port is connected to 0/1 on the switch):

    VLAN 10 - 0/1 = tagged

    VLAN 20 - 0/1 = tagged

    Hope that helps.

  • Cisco ASA 5505 VPN Site to Site

    Hi all

First post on the forums. I have worked with Cisco ASA 5505 for a few months and I recently bought a 2nd ASA to implement tunnel VPN Site to Site. It seems so simple in the number of videos watched on the internet. But when I did he surprise it did work for me... I've removed the tunnels, a number of times and tried to recreate. I use the VPN Wizard in the SMA to create the tunnel. Both the asa 5505 of are and have the same firmware even etc..

I'd appreciate any help that can be directed to this problem please.  Slowly losing my mind

    Hello

There are some clear problems I see on a quick glance. These are not related to the actual VPN configuration but rather the NAT configurations.

All your configuration of NAT CLI format above are configured as manual NAT / double NAT in Section 1. This means that the appliance NAT configurations have been added to the same section of the NAT configurations and scheduling of the NAT inside this Section rules is the cause of the problem for the L2L VPN connection for some.

Here are a few suggestions on what to change

    ASA1

    Minimal changes

the object of the LAN network

    192.168.10.0 subnet 255.255.255.0

    being REMOTE-LAN network

    255.255.255.0 subnet 192.168.100.0

NAT (inside, outside) 1 static source LAN LAN to static destination REMOTE - LAN LAN

no nat source (indoor, outdoor) public static NETWORK_OBJ_192.168.10.0_24 NETWORK_OBJ_192.168.10.0_24 NETWORK_OBJ_192.168.100.0_24 NETWORK_OBJ_192.168.100.0_24 non-proxy-arp-search of route static destination

That means foregoing is first of all create 'object' that contain the local LAN and remote LANs. Then, it creates a NAT0 rule and adds to the top rules NAT. (number 1). It is essentially of at least one of the problems preventing the VPN operation or traffic that cross.

Finally, we remove the old rule that generated the ASDM. It would do the same thing if it has been moved to the top, but I generally find the creation of the 'object' with descriptive names easier on the eyes in the long term.

    Other suggestions

These changes are not necessary with regard to the VPN L2L. Here are some suggestions how to clean a part of NAT configurations.

    PAT-SOURCE network object-group

    source networks internal PAT Description

    object-network 192.168.10.0 255.255.255.0

    object-network 192.168.20.0 255.255.255.0

    object-network 192.168.40.0 255.255.255.0

NAT interface (it is, outside) the after-service automatic PAT-SOURCE dynamic source

No source (indoor, outdoor) nat Dynamics one interface

no nat (wireless, outdoors) source Dynamics one interface

no nat (servers, outside) no matter what source dynamic interface

The above configuration creates a "object-group" that lists all internal networks that you have dynamic PAT configured so far. It then uses the ' object-group ' in a command unique 'nat' to manage the dynamic PAT for all internal networks (with the exception of printers who had nothing at first). Then we remove the old PAT dynamic configurations.

Contains the command "nat" "car after" because it moving this "nat" configuration to the bottom of the NAT rules. For this reason its less likely to cause problems in the future.

    network of the SERVERS object

    subnet 192.168.20.0 255.255.255.0

    network of the VPN-POOL object

    192.168.50.0 subnet 255.255.255.0

NAT (servers, external) 2 static static source of destination of SERVERS SERVERS VPN-VPN-POOL

no nat (servers, external) static source NETWORK_OBJ_192.168.20.0_24 NETWORK_OBJ_192.168.20.0_24 NETWORK_OBJ_192.168.50.0_24 NETWORK_OBJ_192.168.50.0_24 non-proxy-arp-search of route static destination

The above configuration is supposed to create a NAT0 configuration for traffic between the network and the pool of Client VPN server. To my knowledge the old configuration that remove us is not used because the traffic would have matched PAT rule dynamic server yet rather than this rule which is later in the NAT configurations and would not be addressed.

no nat source (indoor, outdoor) public static NETWORK_OBJ_192.168.10.0_24 NETWORK_OBJ_192.168.10.0_24 NETWORK_OBJ_192.168.1.0_24 NETWORK_OBJ_192.168.1.0_24 non-proxy-arp-search of route static destination

It seems to me that network 192.168.1.0/24 is not configured from anywhere in your network. Therefore, the above 'nat' configuration seems useless, can be deleted. If I missed something and its use in then of course do not remove it.

    ASA2

    Minimal changes

the object of the LAN network

    255.255.255.0 subnet 192.168.100.0

    being REMOTE-LAN network

    192.168.10.0 subnet 255.255.255.0

NAT (inside, outside) 1 static source LAN LAN to static destination REMOTE - LAN LAN

no nat source (indoor, outdoor) public static NETWORK_OBJ_192.168.100.0_24 NETWORK_OBJ_192.168.100.0_24 NETWORK_OBJ_192.168.10.0_24 NETWORK_OBJ_192.168.10.0_24 non-proxy-arp-search of route static destination

    Other suggestions

    PAT-SOURCE network object-group

    object-network 192.168.100.0 255.255.255.0

NAT interface (it is, outside) the after-service automatic PAT-SOURCE dynamic source

No source (indoor, outdoor) nat Dynamics one interface

The above configuration is supposed to do the same thing with the other ASA. Although given that this network contains only a single subnet it cleans the "nat" configurations exist that much. But the order of the "nat" configurations is changed to avoid further problems with the NAT order.

no nat source (indoor, outdoor) public static NETWORK_OBJ_192.168.100.0_24 NETWORK_OBJ_192.168.100.0_24 NETWORK_OBJ_192.168.1.0_24 NETWORK_OBJ_192.168.1.0_24 non-proxy-arp-search of route static destination

It seems to me that network 192.168.1.0/24 is not configured from anywhere in your network. Therefore, the above 'nat' configuration seems useless, can be deleted. If I missed something and its use in then of course do not remove it.

I suggest trying the changes related to VPN L2L first NAT0 configurations and test traffic. So who gets the work of connectivity, then you could consider changing other NAT configurations. There are other things that could be changed also in what concerns THAT static NAT servers but that probably better left for another time.

Hope this makes any sense and has helped

  • Failover on Cisco ASA 5505 with EasyVPN

    Hello

I've implemented a customer EasyVPN with a Cisco ASA 5505 and I am trying to configure the failover but I get this message:

"Failover cannot be configured as Cisco Easy VPN remote is activated."

However, I have seen in the link below, this dynamic rollover is compatible with the easy standard (and not with improved but I don't think I use easyVPN improved).

    http://www.Cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/security/iOS-easy-VPN/e...

The configuration I did through ASDM is very simple:

    vpnclient server * * *.
    vpnclient-mode client mode
    vpngroup vpnclient * password *.
    vpnclient username * password *.
    vpnclient enable

My question is how can I implement failover with a client on a Cisco ASA 5505 EasyVPN?

    Thanks in advance

You cannot configure the failover of a device that acts as a client

For IKEv2 configuration: (example config, you can change to encryption, group,...)

-You must add the declaration of exemption nat (see previous answer).

    -set your encryption domain ACLs:

access-list-TRAFFIC IPSEC allowed extended LOCAL REMOTE - LAN LAN ip

    -Set the Phase 1:

    Crypto ikev2 allow outside
    IKEv2 crypto policy 10
    3des encryption
    the sha md5 integrity
    Group 5
    FRP sha
    second life 86400

    -Set the Phase 2:

    Crypto ipsec ikev2 ipsec IKEV2-PROPOSAL
    Esp aes encryption protocol
    Esp integrity sha-1 protocol

    -set the Group of tunnel

    tunnel-group REMOTE-PUBLIC-IP type ipsec-l2l
    REMOTE-PUBLIC-IP tunnel-group ipsec-attributes
    IKEv2 authentication remote pre-shared-key cisco123

    IKEv2 authentication local pre-shared-key cisco123

    -Define the encryption card

address for correspondence CRYPTOMAP 10 - TRAFFIC IPSEC crypto map
card crypto CRYPTOMAP 10 peer set REMOTE-PUBLIC-IP
card crypto CRYPTOMAP 10 set ipsec ikev2-IKEV2-PROPOSAL
    CRYPTOMAP interface card crypto outside
    crypto isakmp identity address

On your config, you have all these commands but on your VPN config, you mix ikev1 and ikev2. You have also defined political different ikev2. Just do a bit of cleaning and reached agreement on a 1 strategy for the two site (encryption, hash,...)

    Thank you

  • EzVPN between Cisco ASA 5505 (with NEM mode) and Ciscoo 881 Roure

    Hi friends,

I configured the Cisco ASA 5505 and Cisco router with DMVPN 881. 3 offices works very well but one office remains failure. I did the same configuration for all facilities but this router does not work. Any ideas?

Please find below the exit of 881 router Cisco:

There is no DMVPN on the SAA. All that you have configured, is not compatible with the ASA or something another DMVPN then. At least debugging shows that there are some EzVPN involved.

The debug version, it seems that there is no communication on UDP/500 possible between devices. Maybe something is blocking who?

  • Using a Cisco ASA 5505 to transfer applications PXE (WDS)

I have a Cisco ASA 5505 that uses approximately 5 CARDS for different networks. Currently, I use my ASA to route traffic as it is the only Cisco device I have able to the small amount of routing required by my network.

Keep separate things that I use 5 CARDS for different networks like outdoors, corp, Printers, workstations, serversand public. Each has a different subnet I keep separate to control all ACL through the firewall of the SAA. All (for example, DHCP with global scope) works very well except the WDS server.

My question is, now I have a new PC connected to the workstations LAN NETWORK card looking for my WDS server that is on the Server LAN. How can I get requests for all different NIC to flow to the servers LAN NIC?

    Hello

If you require pass queries all other interfaces to the server DHCP behind "servers" interface?

Then, you need to configure DHCP Relay

    Server dhcprelay

    dhcprelay enable

    dhcprelay enable

  • Using IKEv2 from Microsoft with Cisco ASA

    Hello

I just want to confirm something, if I can put this issue to rest.

We have a Cisco ASA 5505 running OS 8.4

For remote access, we have the configuration of SSL VPN to include IPSec (IKEv2).

With the help of our AnyConnect client works.  No problem.

The issue is on my Windows 7 computer when I place a remote access profile I choose IKEv2 (PPTP or L2TP/IPSec).  However, this does not work.

It error to say that he "cannot find a matching policy.  I'm assuming what he mean't he couldn't find any political IKE.  I have added other policies of IKE, which has find a match, but ASA connects the barks by saying "IKE neogoiation fails in search of a certificate or a preshared key".

There is no option for inputing a pre-shared for IKEv2 on Windows 7 with its profile.

Therefore, I think that on the ASA 5505 IKEv2 is only used for remote access with the AnyConnect client (or the client AnyConnect Secure Mobility) and NOT with other clients like Microsoft IKEv2.

Is this really the case?  Or can I use IKEv2 integrated with Windows 7 to access remotely the ASA 5505 enabled for IKEv2 for remote access (and not as a site-based virtual private network)?  If so how did you get it to work.  It is an empty topic of discussion on the Internet.

    Thank you!

    -rya

    Hi Rya,

I don't think there are changes to this recently but ASA doesn't work with anyconnect with IKEv2.

I recently wrote about this in my blog

    https://supportforums.Cisco.com/community/NetPro/security/VPN/blog/2011/02/08/ASA-84-IPSec-VPN--whats-new
    (Point 4)

Frankly I did not follow developments of this features recently, so I might have missed something.

  • Renew the certificate of identity on Cisco ASA 5505, do I have to renew all user certificates?

    n00b questions.

I have to renew my SSL certificate of identity soon on my Cisco ASA 5505.  I'll have to renew all my certificates for client on their devices, so they can establish a vpn tunnel?

    Hi dsartoros,

If you encounter a self signed (generated locally) identity certificate renewed, then you will need to download this certificate on the clients so that they can connect without getting "untrusted server certificate error".

If you renew a certificate issued by a 3rd party CA (sending of CSR to CA) and certificate, then you will not need to make any changes on the client as they already trust the certification authority that issues the certificate first root.

  • Cisco ASA 5505 VPN passthrough

    Hello

@home i'f installed a Cisco asa 5505 because the provider has the modem cable in transparent mode. So I have the public IP address to my firewall.

Also for the training because we have in the work of the asa. So I have no feeling with her.

but sometimes I have to build a VPN session to a server at work. But I do not get a connection to the server. If I remove the ASA 5505, then the connection to the server of work is great. But if to ASA 5505 is back in its place. It does not log VPN to the outside world.

Could someone point me in the right direction?

It is possible to create a connection out to the Cisco ASA5505 VPN.

    Thanks in advance

    Greetings

    Palermo

    Hi Palermo,

You do not have to mention the type of VPN connection, you use.

If the PPTP protocol then you need to inspect the traffic for the SAA allow again from 'outside '. Try the following:

     ! class-map inspection_default match default-inspection-traffic ! policy-map global_policy class inspection_default inspect pptp ! service-policy global_policy global !

    see you soon,

    SEB.

  • How to configure ASDM Cisco ASA 5505

I have a Cisco ASA 5505 firewall, and currently it is a command-line firewall. I want to configure ASDM so that I can use it as a Web based GUI interface.

I don't really know what to do. Can someone help me please how I can configure ASDM on my firewall.

    Kind regards

    Naushad Khan

    Hi Naushad,

First of all, must load the image ASSDM on SAA and then use the command:

ASDM image dosk0: / asdm645.bin (if the image name is asdm645.bin)

    then:

    Enable http server

http 10.0.0.0 255.0.0.0 inside (if your machine is 10.0.0.0 subnet behind inside the inetrafce)

Go to the machine, open a browser and type:

    https://

    It will open the GUI.
