  If you talk about the device password then simply change SIM card will not disable the device password a user defined here device. But if we enter too bad password (default is 10) then our device will begin a wipe removing all user data of this unit and must start all over again.

  But if it's BlackBerry ID password, then it will be different! If we go in too bad password for our BlackBerry ID then it locks us, first for 15 minutes and so on. In this situation, must reset the BlackBerry ID password, but it will never be allowed to wipe our BlackBerry, refer to this Article:

  Hello.  You can contact your carrier to see if it's possible?  I recommend to take it to the store or by calling from another phone if possible.

  I just got my phone upgrade a Bold 9790.

  I used COMICS (version 7.1.0.32 - Bundle 33) from my 8520 curve old (V5.0.0.1036) to the new "BOLD". Or at least I tried... Everything went well until downloading the data and I finished with a white screen with an error "App 603" and there is nothing I can do because it constantly goes into a reboot loop.

  I'm looking around and there are a lot of suggestions on the reinstallation of the OS, which I don't mind as it's a new phone anyway. Problem, it's that the BDS does not see the phone now so reloading in this way is a no go. I can't exit the white screen on the "BOLD" either...

  Other solutions?

  If your device is not detected by the BlackBerry Desktop software, so you had to force the detection of your device by using the application loader. Take a peek as this Knowledge Base:

  Plese someone must answer on me I have a bold 9790 it sometimes suddenly stop to the touch, that we will, I have tried to reboot a few times it doesn't work sometimes! I changed my screen yet, is this a software problem?

  I found a solution, first of all, it seems that all blackberry 9790 have a touchscreen problem, it's what you do to solve it, watch this video on youtube... link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CxLOfJweDxU look at this to remove the Board you can see a rope attached to the screen that give the soft power and the abilty to have a touch of the screen what you do is push a sale but not hard or u option break you something... This is how I fixed it! If it's a temporary solution, it could happen again :/

  It shouldn't be too hot, please take out the battery while the device is powered and reinsert after a min & observer.
