I tried following https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/942968

The GlobalInstallOrder.xml both the install.wim from the disk image of Windows Web Server 2008 x 86 and for KB955430 files under %winroot%/winsms both starting.

Any ideas on how to determine what is the cause, updates do not?

In addition, I have a lot of lines like these:

I use 15-n205tx laptop computer with windows 8.1 hp 64 bit pre installed now I need to re install the windows with extra partition only having a c volume now os and any other content is stored in a single volume
so I need for us as a 2-volume one for data and one for the operating system how to do it please give me the procedure

    Hi @vipinuly,

If I understand you correctly, you want to create an additional partition on the device.

If you use provided Hp OEM OS image, it allows you to create the partition during the installation of the operating system.  You can add the partition after installing the OS, but this is not recommended by hp.

You can create physical partition or volume with Retail OS image.

Here are a few links to help to create an additional partition

To create a partition or a logical drive:

    https://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-in/library/cc727978 (v = ws.10) .aspx

    https://support.Microsoft.com/en-us/help/17418/Windows-7-create-format-hard-disk-partition

NOTE: With the hp OEM operating system image, perform the recovery on the unit will scan the entire score and data as well as those. Therefore, we believe always take backup of data before you perform the recovery of the unit.

I hope that answers your question.

  • Some applications Windows 8 will not be open and constantly return to the start screen

Some Windows 8 applications (calendar, Photos, Messenger, etc.) do not open and return to the start screen. I updated the computer, so the apps worked during this session.  However, after that I disconnected and re-connected to the laptop the next day, the same apps stopped working again.  This continues that occur on a regular basis.  How to solve definitively the problem?

Note: I noticed that others have this same problem, and I tried the troubleshooting suggestions (i.e., to download the troubleshooter of the modern user interface, cache cleanup, etc.), but none of these suggestions has definitely solved the problem.  I bought my new laptop two months ago and have been facing this problem since.  I want a permanent solution.

    Hello

    Here's what I recommend:

1 disable UAC. Down comes the restrictions - turn it off completely.
2 restart your computer for the change to take effect.
3 re - download the update of security for Microsoft Office System 2007 (KB982331) from the link below:
    http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=7f89a734-cda4-4abb-9a10-f6dfe560e8d0&displaylang=en
    4. install. It should work fine.
    5. If it still does not work, try to open all or part of your MS Office applications.
    6. follow step 3.

    Let me know your results.

  • Windows 2008 Server Standard not install KB3099860 with error code 8000FFFF

    Hello

I look after 3 x Windows 2008 Standard Edition servers. Two of them to date very well and are up to date with updates. One of them however, which is identical in hardware to either of the other two and even fewer programs (we use it as a simple file server), fails on the last update released December 2015:

KB3099860 a security update for the .NET Framework 3.0 Service Pack 2 in Windows Vista Service Pack 2 and Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2: 8 December 2015

I tried a variety of things after having studied the problem these past few days, including:

1 Uninstalling some updates before this one and see if they re - install. They are all re - install fine until I get to it where it fails with 8000FFFF error code so this leads me to believe that this is not in itself a problem with updates

    2. manually and also linking this Microsoft 'fixit': http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/windows-update-error-8000ffff

    3. how to install the System Update Readiness Tool for Windows Server 2008 that installs but does not report errors

    4. manually by downloading the fix and trying to install - does not work.

    5. all the details here: https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsserver/en-US/ae6e81e9-5c49-4826-89bc-04a676992706/error-8000ffff-windows-server-2008?forum=winservergen

including rename them the folder C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution Windows Update and giving of right on drive C for "Network Services" - still does not work.

    6. as it is associated .NET I tried to repair .NET facilities that exist on the server (2, 3, 3.5 and and re-apply updates, but even once, fails on it.)

So, what should I do now? The behavior may suggest that it is that only this particular associate .NET that is a failure and that future ones will work, but it's "critical" and which relates to the .NET version which is initrinsic to the Windows 2008 operating system I think I should get it fixed :)

    Any thoughts?

    Thank you

    Dan

Windows 2008 Server R2 Std - question BPA
I built a new Windows 2008 R2 Standard Server and configured as a domain controller. When you run the BPA I get the following error, which I can not solve:

    Question:
The default domain controllers policy is not in force on the OR OR = Domain Controllers, DC = WRIGHT.
    Impact:
If the Group Policy settings that are defined in the default domain controllers policy are not applied to domain controllers, Active Directory operations may fail.
    Resolution:
Link the default domain controllers policy to the ORGANIZATION OR unit = Domain Controllers, DC = WRIGHT

The default domain controllers policy is linked to the domain controllers OU. I dun dcdiag and the only failure is NCSecDesc but I don't plan to add an RODC to the forest. When I run the resulting strategy game I can see domain controller policy has been applied.
Is there something I can do to clear this error message?
