  I have a big problem with the LCM. I use the Services Console shared Hyperion version 11.1.1.1.63(Drop 8).
  I used the LCM several times successfully.
  The problem is with the deployment of the application of the development environment for production environment. One of the applications was not deployed. He's stuck. The Migration status report shows application that it is still ongoing. It is ongoing for weeks. I tried to restart the server, Hyperion and tried to migrate the application again, but without success. What can be the problem? How to solve the problem?

  I guess by report it exports the objects of Reporting and analysis, if yes, then you need to try and jump down for objects, which is the origin of the problem.
  Also, I would certainly try to switch to the latest version/patch as the first version of 11 had quite a few questions.

• Data form question - LCM Migration Planning

  I am using Hyperion Essbase & planning version 11.1.1.3 applications. I exported QA dataforms and tried to import in the Prod environment, using LCM. But the dataforms do not migrate due to the long name of the dataforms.

• Question about importing the roles of users through LCM HSS 11.1.2.1 MSAD

  We use Hyperion Planning version 11.1.2.1. I tried to export user and group provisioning to prod environment and migrate there in the dev environment.

  The following steps have been

  1 open Hyperion Shared Services Console

  2 expanded Application groups

  3. scope of the Foundation

  4. click on Shared Services. I got a list of artifact on a new tab on the right side of the screen

  5 expanded native Directory. Some groups (Checked), roles and users

  6 click on define Migration and then did then, then, then on the following screens until I got a popup asking to "run the Migration.

  7 enforce Migration, I received a folder created under admin@NativeDirectory with 2 subfolders (info and resources)

  I saw 3 csv files is created - Groups.csv, Roles.csv and Users.csv.

  Groups.csv contains all the groups and users in each group.

  Users.csv contains all the users belonging to the Native directory

  Roles.csv was surprisingly an empty file (don't know why)

  My question is

  1. how to export that 'Aboriginal group' has been implemented to what roles?

  2. how to export what Directory user external user (i.e. MSAD) has been put into service for what role?

  I need to import roles provided to the 'MSAD users' and 'Indigenous' of Prod to Dev env env. Since I'm not able to export to MSAD user roles and groups... I don't know how to do in this regard. Please help me with this. Thanks in advance.

• Migration via question LCM

  We often migrate from dev to test for prod using LCM. However a few weird things happened. When remove us the entire library Dimension in our target environment and then delete all the applications it too, is he "left on" all the data in the back-end repository? We should also clear on one of these tables in the repository in the background to do that there is no data in there? I ask, because I did this thing and then when I imported back library size and properties of the Application to create the apps in our environment target, everything was good. However, when I started to bring on the Scripts of Calc, business rules and WebForms, there was old Bus rules and Web forms that should not have migrated in my position of the target. I went back to check my .xml files generated from my Source does not include them and they did not. So can't know how Bus rules and Web forms that does not exist in the files of LCM of my Source finished being created in my target via LCM. Thinking there is some data that was in other tables somewhere?
  
  
  If I need to clear some backend/schema of the table, what is it? We use the Oracle database.

  If you remove the application that is not always mean business rules will be removed, depending on how you administer your rules then you may need to remove the Manager of calc or EAS.
  If you delete a planning application, then I would expect the web forms to remove, if you delete an application, check if all tables in the relational database to the planning application have been removed, if they have not so delete / recreate the database/schema.
  Also if a planning application is deleted I would expect essbase application/databases should be deleted as well as calc scripts, if they are not then I would look at remove the service Regional application.

• Export of LCM in a specified folder

  We have worked with LCM for migration for hyperion planning and we know that whenever we export planning artifacts it creates a new folder with the naming convention "< user name > < year > - < month > - < Date >. My requirement is to export objects in a specified folder every time I use LCM utility. Please let me know if there is a way to export objects from planning to a specified folder that already exists in the directory what.

  I executed it correctly every day. You're confuse it here.

  1. export that is generated after you use the solution I provided will, of course, the empty user name and the password field. You can ignore this one. It is by default

  2. but the export.xml you saved in D:\Automation is intact

  3. the next time, when you run the utility.bat again, you'll use the export.xml in D:\Automation

  BTW you can start calling the export.xml in D:\Automation as D:\automation\source.xml to avoid confusion. Your script will change accordingly as

  Utility.bat source.xml

  Now, I hope that answers your questions.

  LCM does not migrate the data FDMEE in the current version.

  Is your fresh production environment env, so you did not work with FDMEE?

  You have to build your own migration to move data using SQL. Another option would be to re - load all data. That would ensure that all of your internal identifiers conform.

  I try to export and import (from DEV to PROD environment) of homeland security planning using LCM. Export procedure goes very well by LCM, but when I try to import into the target environment, I have the following error:

  We need to migrate artifacts from Dev to test and Prod using LCM. I know that we migrate entire application and objects using LCM. But
  May be the only Forms data migration and business of Dev, Test, prob rule. I want to say that we have about 25 forms of data in planning Dev environment. I just need to migrate these forms of Dev to Prod, only data do not form for the entire application. Maybe do?

  Yes for partial migrations, you can certainly migrate some parts of your application, such as calc scripts, data forms, business, outlines rules, etc. You need to expand the artifacts and select only those that you want to migrate.
