question of the rule

I'm working on a calculation that involved referencing a table of rules, the original material request now that we choose the number the higher of the two different tables and that apply to the calculation

the exact wording is:

the greater of:
the amount specified in table 1 or
the amount indicated in table 2

It sounds pretty simple, but we try to think of a good way to do it, can anyone help?

Describe your rule of calculation using a single attribute. For example, total = the first number + highest possible second numbers, there where "the highest possible second numbers" is an attribute. Use a table of rules to determine "highest possible second numbers" of "table 1" and "the value of table 2" using a comparison to determine which is faster. " For simplicity, Z = X if X > Y and Z = there may otherwise appear in a table as follows:
_ ___Condition (X) | _ Conclusion (Z)
_______ > Y _______| _____ X ______
_ _ otherwise. _____ Y _______

With this approach, determine you separately "the largest...» «According to what logic is necessary and you are using a single fixed value "the largest...» "in your formula regardless of how it was determined." This approach also makes it easier to maintain the rules because the formula and the logic that dictates what factors to be used in a formula are in separate rules/tables. (which also leads to a more meaningful decision / verification of reports required)

  • question of the decidability of oralce user defined rules

    Hello

Accoring to some posts online (http://weblog.clarkparsia.com/2007/08/27/understanding-swrl-part-2-dl-safety/ http://protege.cim3.net/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?SWRLLanguageFAQ), in general, SWRL is undecidable. However, we can add some restrictions to SWRL to regain the decidability: Variables in DL security rules bind only to those explicitly named in the ontology. Add this restriction is sufficient to establish decidable SWRL rules. So, I wonder how the rules defined by the user Oracle reached the decidability. SWRL does adpot the simliar way? Thank you very much in advance.

    Salvation Hong,

It is a good question. Yes, we have adopted a similar idea. Chaining before engine database Oracle database are the existing resources of RDF known variables in rules of deduction. We will not generate a new RDF resource that does not exist already in the ontologies. This is very important because it ensures that the inference process will be completed in a period of time.

The foregoing does not apply to the inference (a new 12.1) user-defined well.

  • Application of the rules of mail on only some accounts

I have 4 accounts IMAP entering Mail - one is, of course, iCloud.  Two are not, they come from my own URL and one is an Exchange Server.  I would like to have a set of rules that apply only to NON Exchange accounts = I don't want to filter e-mail Exchange, only the others.  I know you can make the choice of 'everything', but not how to set up to apply the rules to accounts 1-3 and not #4.

I have Mail Act-on and hub mail, but have not seen how those who can do what I want.  Otherwise I am so far happy with Mail and apps and Yosemite, and the only question is to cease to apply the rules on the Exchange account.

    Thank you very much.

Mail, view the headers of the messages that you are interested in differentiating, next to a single SMTP header since the servers in question and (the list of headers using change... in the selector to add rules) adds that the list of things that can be selected and sorted and then base your rules out this header entry.   You can sort - of make a general sequencing in the respect of the rules by placing a rule of 'catch-all' somewhere in the middle of the list, with a "stop evaluating rules" to prevent a future regulation to take effect.   As establishing a rule that simply detects a header only associated with Exchange Server and stops to assess all of the following rules.   Or something like.

    Thank you

You should not change the built in rules. They were overwritten when you upgrade. I recommend that you copy all the rules you want, modify them, and then disable the default rule.

To answer your question... I have already done the work to transform this rule in GB instead of %. Discover my cartridge vBundle-1 which is an add-on free for vFoglight.

  • Scope of the rule

    Hi all

I'm new to Foglight and I would take aid from communities below:

While the scope of the rule, I followed the steps mentioned in the KB 40891 article that says

"Amend the beginning of the line so that it contains the 'WHERE IN' statement.
Due to the PR73395 5.2.2 bug you need to replace the beginning & ending opening and closing parentheses with braces.
Delete the individual uniqueID = for each hostname identifier and just let delimited by commas and remove the opening and closing brackets that wrap each host ID.  ' Only the beginning & ending braces are needed for your compound 'in' declaration '.

I would like to know if we need to follow this now too because I don't have error when I did a "check of the query" without using the statement WHEREIN.

    Kind regards

So the next question is: your custom rule works? Are you led alarm against the object extended as

  • Problem with the rules after upgrade of the VM in foglight cartridge

    Hello

There is a small problem with the rules after that I updated the VM cartridge level.

In the default rules, I changed a few settings so that they will act as I need.

However, each time I upgrade VM cartridge my rules are off and marked as backup.

The question is: is there a way to upgrade the cartridge and keep my active rules after upgrading?

    Best regards

    • Title

Backup rules fill in the dashboard management rule after Foglight upgraded
    • Description

After that an upgrade of Foglight was conducted, several backup rules are created for rules that have been published before the upgrade. For example:

      Cluster VMW IO network
      Cluster VMW IO network (backup)

    • Resolution

During the upgrade procedure, the FMS has detected that some of the original rules have been changed in some way. It copies the rules previously upgraded in backups, before trying to merge the contents of the update rule in the former.

Assuming that the FMS works as expected, the rules of backup can be deleted. However, it is best to confirm this in the respect of the rules first before making deletions.

When editing rules, particularly rules OOTB (out of the box), it is recommended to copy the original rule, disable the original rule and edit the copied rule. This should reduce the risk of the problem described in this Article.

    Hello

Without any specific info, that the problem can be, too, that the remote end just has not authorized the connections you are trying by the L2L VPN. In this case, you wouldn't see any traffic from the remote end. In other words, there could be a missing ACL rule in the remote end.

You have control of the ASAs two? Can you share any configuration or log messages related to the problem?

  • "What is the meaning of the rule of the O-Cluster" [(-160714); 18095.1] "< = PER_MONTH_PAY < ="196904.

    Hello gurus

I use O-Cluster to a cluster client, get the rules below

    ' [(-160714);]. 18095.1]"< = PER_MONTH_PAY < ="196904. "

There is no record that PER_MONTH_PAY = 18095.1, I can't understand what this expression, pls help.

    Hello

OCluster rules make use of the notation mathematics range.

To learn more about the notation, see the following links:

    https://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/Interval_%28mathematics%29

    http://StackOverflow.com/questions/4396290/what-does-this-square-bracket-and-parenthesis-bracket-notation-mean-First1-last

    http://zonalandeducation.com/MMTS/miscellaneousMath/intervalNotation/intervalNotation.html

    -160714 > PER_MONTH_PAY<=>

OCluster was put in a cell in this column, that's why you see intervals in the rules.

Here is a brief technical explanation of OCluster binning and the mapping to the rules:

    Description:

Initially, we generate rules for ferries. Like 1<= x=""><=>

The 1 and 5 here are bin ID for the attribute 'x '. (Cut for the x attribute values in different trays)

After that, we did a real bin IDs in the range remapping say 1 <=>'[0;. '. 855346]"and 5"(9.40881 <=>; 10.2642].

which finally gives us the rule "[0."; 855346].<= x=""><= "(9.40881;="">

    The rule "[0;." 855346].<= x=""><= "(9.40881;="" 10.2642]"="" actually="" means="" 0=""><= x=""><=>

    The rule "[0;." 152381].<= y=""><= "(1.06667;="" 1.21905]"="" means="" 0=""><= y=""><=>

  • Optimization of the rules

    Hello

I want to know ways to optimize the modules. Can someone list on optimization techniques? Those can really fast substantially determination? Thank you

.. and if I can close the loop on what this has to do with optimizing the performance.  This is my opinion.

I think that when Jasmine says that the rule is a rule of 'BAD', (be careful not to speak too loudly for him) she means not only from a point of view maintenance rule.

First, the engine optimizes the path until the OPA don't just use every bit of data 'seeds' and create a static rule execution plan.

Consider that when you give enough forced a SQL statement in the where clause, a query may return several responses and poor performance.  OPA, however, can still make a unique determination given incomplete sets attributes of database (unknowns and might.)  OPA may provide explanations that include what basic attributes must always be provided (OPA has a forward and backward chaining).  In short, the OPA may use only a small set of basic data to determine a result, even if OPA Gets a lot of seed data. In this respect, the internal dev team Oracle OPA provides optimization performance and optimizations to the engine itself to a path of optimal execution.  This way can and will change dynamically.

Traditionally, tuning execution path is what .net/java developers worry about and most often is the prospect that developers pull then ask questions about optimizing the performance of OPA.  So my reply may seem unsatisfactory to anyone who does not participate in effective policies of the organization.

As a second review, OPA has strengths in optimization, modeling and optimization of the policy itself, which rarely concern of the developer.  Were necessary intermediate decisions by the company and OPA said these determinations were while they were not (perhaps due to a bad mix of procedural rules / background)?  Can reduce what is necessary for improved or new political determination or remove the dependencies of base?

So, if politics is already optimized, then OPA will not be be slower than any other method of execution that requires the same information, but probably much, much faster.  So I think that Brad question above...

A developer usually should not change the policy, but policy changes can have the most impact on performance for the end user and the business.  Jasmine guidelines provide something of a foundation on the writing of strategy using proven methods of political organization / readability.  This provides visibility into changes policies to non-developers. Thus, when you create policy documents, we (or at least I) follow the guidelines, devote an extra effort to exploit the isomorphism of the OPA and make political visible to policy work.

It's observation, and I speak in generalizations.  (Once the policy is well written, btw, if I have a problem which is not now obvious, so I just call the engine for the intermediate attributes know where my problem lies - that I should have for test cases in Excel and/or SoapUI.)  Be careful, however, as the need for optimization of performance may indicate really need something else entirely...)  If the answer is still not satisfactory, although I hope not, is there a policy statement of example and source documents that can be provided to get advice on the setting?  -I would recommend starting a new thread in the forum for this.

  • Sub Consolidate() would come at the beginning or at the end of the rules file?

    Hello

I wrote a routine void consolidate for a specialized consolidation process.

Question: Sub Consolidate() would come BEFORE Sub calculate () in the rules file, or after?   Or is it important?

Consolidation seems to work OK.   But I want to just make sure HFM will not try to consolidate first, and rules other calculations after (normally VB executes orders in the order they appear in the script).

    Thank you

    Mark Smith

Hello. Either way will work. HFM knows that he has to look up subroutine names specific to specific points during consolidation. The order is listed in the help. Practically most people put first calculate given that most of the rules is there and that's where you make other changes.

  • How to set the rules of campaign for SFDC response

What is the implication of this? Is there an involvement with Eloqua, SFDC, or both? What happens if I leave the box unchecked?

And activity which answer should I check the radio 'Salesforce default' button?

Couldn't really find any explanation to this form of documentation available...

In fact, I found a bit of an answer to my own question of the SFDC UI, where you camodest the associated campaign of the advanced settings.

    He said

On this page, set up the governing statutes of campaign members of campaign who has responded or not to trace:

    • Enter the articles desired as "Participant" or "sent".
    • Set a default value for the list of choices.
    • For the statuses you want to count in the field of responses #, mark responded. Warning: Edit this box has broad effects. When you change, these fields Member change accordingly: responded, last Date answered and dern.

So I quess the Salesforce replied box the picture is exactly the same as in the INTERFACE of SF. The same applies by default.
