• question about wordpad, because the lines are separated by a blank line

  When I type in WordPad, the lines are separated by a blank line, that is, the 1st line climbs to the 3rd line, with the 2nd empty line, it takes double up typing something.  It's the same thing with the types of different fonts.

  I tried to use 1.0 spacing of lines in the tab "paragraph" Section; but this tab doesn't seem to work properly.  The lines are always separated by a blank line.

  Set the line spacing to 1.0 and uncheck the ' Add 10pt space after paragraphs... :-)

• How do uninstall you this Word Pad stupid program?

  Somehow, installed MS partition program Word Pad which causes problems of saving files in Word. I want it off my PC. How it go down?

  WordPad has always been on your computer so it can be assumed that something has changed to ask you a question. WordPad is integrated and cannot be uninstalled if you need to fix the file association for the documents at the office.

  In Control Panel > programs and features select Microsoft Office, and then change at the top. In the dialogue of the Office Setup program, you must have the repair option

  Or control panel > default programs > associate a file type check all the .doc * and see that link to Wordpad and not Microsoft Office Word

  I typed a letter on wordpad in big letters, but when I print the letters are very low?  What should I do to make larger them?

  It may be using the Internet Explorer print engine. Open IE and view | The size of the text, increase the size and test it.

  We would like to get some more information from you to help solve your problem.  You better, please answer the following questions.

  1. are you able to cut and copy in the mail that you dial?

  2. have you checked if you can cut and paste using another program like word or notepad document?

  I suggest you to check if you can copy paste or cut using another program such as Notepad or wordpad.

  The image one had only appears if the mouse pointer points to a hyper link.

  Also suggest you check with the default mouse.

• Why word file attachments keep open in wordpad

  It is a new computer with windows 7 and microsoft office already installed, when I open a word file, sometimes it opens in wordpad, why do that?

  Make a right click any word (with extension .doc or .docx) file and let the mouse on 'Open with', click on choose a default program..., highlight the word and check the box always 'using the program selected... '. "and then click OK.

  Repeat for the other extensions, i.e. If you have found a .doc first rehearsal for a .docx or vice versa.

  BTW, you posted in a forum of Windows XP. Your question is really more suited for Windows 7 forum or a forum of office. You can change this by editing your original question and by selecting the appropriate drop down lists entries.

• Files .rtf in wordpad rather than Notepad

  If I understand your question, you have some documents in RTF format (flie name ends in ".rtf"), and they open in the Notepad program, that can not display them correctly.

  To open in the appropriate program:

  1. go in Control Panel > default of programs .
  2. click on associate a type of file or Protocol with a program .
  3. scroll to .rtf .
  4. double-click on .rtf .
  5. in the context of the programs recommended , click WordPad .
  6. click on OK .

• Suddenly I can't save anything in Notepad, Wordpad or Paint, using Windows Vista. Help, please!

  Hello.

  I can't 'Save' or ' save under ', using Notepad, Wordpad or Paint. It is a recent development that occur all the same day.

  A summary of each error message indicates that there is a problem with the particular program that requires Windows to close until a

  solution is found.  It is followed by a pop-up stating that DEP closed every program to protect my computer.  As a last resort, I then tried

  to 'Save' in Ms Works / Word Processor and that too suddenly had to close with a similar message (less the DEP pop up).

  It is obviously a case with very strange place. I scanned my system with Malwarebytes Pro and Norton Anti virus software and nothing was detected.

  I would be very happy to help in the restoration of the normal features to these programs to anyone who is familiar with this type of problem.

  I am running Windows Vista Premium / / SP2

• Why I can not dictate in other than WordPad and Notepad word processing applications?

  It doesn't seem to be any problem with my camera, because I can dictate into WordPad and Notepad.   However, I use EditPad Light as my default text editor, but for a reason that the voice recognition program does not recognize other processor as being capable of speech recognition dictation applications.  Speech recognition works very well in Internet explore, because I dictate right now.

  I set as my default text editor EditPad Light, so I don't really understand why it cannot be used with speech recognition.  What I read in the instructions, the application of speech recognition is supposed to work with any program that can receive text entries.  However, I just tested with Microsoft Word, and it does not accept dictated either, for some reason any.

  If anyone has a solution for this problem, I would really appreciate knowing how to fix it.  WordPad and Notepad, are both good programs, but they have significant limitations, compared to applications such as Microsoft Word, and the application that I use for light editing of text called EditPad.  Even if I did have the opportunity to try it, I hope I'll be able to use HTML editors that are part of the Web site software that I dictated.

• Printing blank pages in Word and WordPad

  Original title: problem printing with Word and WordPad

  When printing Word and Word Pad, the pages are blank.  Able to print e-mail, test page, etc.  Think that Norton antivirus has deleted a necessary file.  Remove the HP Deskjet 810C printer and reinstalled and the problem persists.

• Font colors are lost after saving and reopening files with WordPad

  WordPad allows me to change the colors of fonts in my file very well. But, after I've close it and reopen it, the color disappeared and returned to black. The files in question are plain text files.

  I was not able to reproduce this problem, as my font color has been saved.
  I open Wordpad. Typed in the text, it turns red. Saved the file. Reopen the file and the police were always in red.

  If this isn't what you've tried, please let me know your steps.

  Are you just having problems with the Wordpad application or with other programs?
  You can open Notepad?

  I suggest that you run SFC/scannow to see if there is any corrupt system files.
  Click Start
  Type: CMD, according to the results, right-click CMD
  Click on "Run as Administrator"
  At the command prompt, type: sfc/scannow

  This will check for any violation of the integrity and repair any damaged operating system files.

  Reboot your system.

• Open wordpad text I sent documents

  I typed something on wordpad, sent documents and now I can't open it. It says "this file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the control panel to define the Associations. "

  1. Open Folder Options by clicking on the button start , Control Panel, clickingAppearance and personalization, and then clicking Folder Options.

  2. Click the view tab, and then, under Advanced settings, follow these steps:

     Disable hide them extensions of known file types check box, and then click OK to display file extensions.

     Now go to that file and add .rtf

     at the end of the file name and try to open it.

• Will not except the wordpad window placement... is moving all over the screen.

  I have this annoying problem... I open a wordpad document and set the widnow investment that I love and that you close the document. When I re - open the document window has shrunk and moved to another part of the screen.

  Often the window will be very small... almost half the size of my screen.

  I know that I can use the properties to maximize the window always open to but I work with several documents simultaneously and need access to my other links and expanded running does not allow this.

  Is there a way to keep the wordpad to remember the location of the window?

  And while I'm on this subject, my excel 2000 does the same thing, but it slides to the top of the screen, each opening until the title bar is off the screen (I keep my taskbar at the top).

  Go to start / Control Panel / folder Options / display and check the box next to remember each folder view settings.  If it is already done, this obviously won't work.

  I don't know what else to think.  This should not occur and there is no settings in Wordpad to control this type of behavior (or on the desktop also).

  As far as Excel goes, try to post the question on the Excel Forum: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/excslcreate/threads where experts in Excel will be happy to help you.  Maybe this solution will solve Wordpad as well.
