Question on adding content to the Page and edit

OK, so I have my setup of layout of entire page with id Div boxes and this is all ready to go. Now, I want to start adding content to my pages but not finding a good way to do it. Right now I'm trying to add images and text in some div boxes and bring them for formatting, I want it to look, but I have problems with my content of positioning.

Should I be this content in another design program like photoshop or is it possible to do this in Dreamweaver?

Any input or help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you

Well, since I have no help here I had to force my way into Adobe Chat support and get help there. And surprisingly, the woman who helped me was great! Neha thanks!

So, to provide the answer here for posterity: it's a 3rd party widget which removed all my content. At some point the widget or Adobe updated and it broke.  I will need to reach out to the preparer of widget to see if they can solve the problem.  Meanwhile, deleting the widget solved the problem.

Master Page Items question: I use master pages for a 60 page document and just found out that some of my master page items are multiplying! There are some boundaries on the pages, and some of them are constantly a quantity apparently without end on top of the other. For example, I replace to change the color of the border and notice a black there's below him so I deleted the extra and there is another and another and another... EEK. I can easily hide them, BUT I fear they will lead to complications in the case of pre-press printing. What is the cause? What can I do to prevent it? How can I get rid of the stack-up?

It's always haapening, if you substitute any element on the page and later master you reapply the same or another master. I would NEVER say to replace any itme master page in the page. Instead create another master based on the first, make the substitutions and apply this master. Substitutions on the pages should be avoided in all cases, not only for the problem you described above, other issues of accessibility will also come into play.

I recently change the Image to fill the browser on my templates A and B.  I erased completely all my content on the pages of the site.  What?

The image is perhaps in a layer above all the other layers.  I'm no expert with Muse, but I learned by experience that the order of your layers and property matters a lot.

  • Zoom in print - preview mode is for the display of the page size or the size of the content on the page?

    Print - Zoom preview.

When I zoom it changes the size of the page on displays on the screen and it also changes the font size of the displayed text.

Is this a bug or I'm doing something wrong.

Either way, I need both the features...
i.e., I want to change the size of the page, as it is displayed and I also want to be able to change the size of the content of the page - but I'd like to separate selection in box / controls for each.

Print preview is a scale control, than the 'ladders' everything on the page, text and images. The paper size and margins are not changed when the 'balance', these controls are elsewhere. Basically, a scale of 50% will use half of the sheets of paper to print a Web page, it would be to shrink or 100% to adjust.

  • Twitter: Your account may not perform this action. Please, refresh the page and try again.

Since the update to Firefox 41.0.2 I couldn't use Twitter.com. When I try to tweet, favorite, or retweet the following error occurs. Your account may be able to perform this action. Please, refresh the page and try again. There are a couple of other users who have the same problem, but it was tinkered with Mozilla and the other pending.

It started with the update to 41.0.2 and twitter works in all other browsers, but not Mozilla.

Here's this other thread with the DIY: Impossible of Retweet, tweet or articles favorite on Twitter, even when I refresh the page.

I think there must be a setting or a question Add on. Your extensions look pretty standard, so I'm leaning towards a parameter of the problem. You could test as follows:

By default, Windows hides the .js extension. To make sure that the following steps work, you have to disable this feature, at least temporarily. This article has the steps: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/show-hide-file-name-extensions

Open the settings folder (AKA Firefox profile) current Firefox help

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
    • (menu bar) Help > troubleshooting information
    • type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter

In the first table of the page, click on the view file"" button. This should launch a new window that lists the various files and folders in Windows Explorer.

Leave this window open, switch back to Firefox and output, either:

    • "3-bar" menu button > button "power".
    • (menu bar) File > Exit

Pause while Firefox finishing its cleanup, then rename prefs.js to something like prefs.old.

Launch Firefox back up again and it must use the default settings (for example, integrated home page). If you need to restore your previous session windows and tabs, go ahead and select restore previous Session from the history menu.

Twitter works best? If so, we could try to understand the precise adjustment at fault or you could rebuild your settings. Or you can undo the change by renaming the new prefs.js to prefs.txt and rename prefs.old back to prefs.js (with Firefox closed, as you did before) and understand it through a little trial and error.

  • Why the Pages and Numbers do not use the default printer?

Recently, I added a second printer to my home network and selected as the default printer. But when I try to print, the correct printer is selected in the dialog box print only part of the time and apparently depends on which application to print from. I believe that Safari, Mail, Contacts and calendar properly use the default printer, then the Pages and Numbers and instead do not the old printer unless I have change the selection in the dialog box impression every time I print.

How can I get Pages and Numbers to correctly use the right default printer?

The problem that is happening on my machine (OS X El Capitan 10.11.2, 5.6.1 Pages and numbers 3.6.1) and my wife (running Maverick 10.7.5, Pages ' 08 3.0.3 and Numbers ' 08 1.0.3) and has persisted through a reboot. The old printer is a HP OfficeJet Pro 8600, accessible via WiFi. The new printer is a Brother MFC-7340 connected by USB to a Time Capsule that is accessible via WiFi.

In the print... dialog you select

    View the Presets...

in the menu presets. In the sheet drops down, uncheck the box marked

Reset the Menu Presets for "Default settings" after printing

    Click OK. Then select

  • Page background to adapt to the content of the page.

    Hello!

I would like to know how it is possible to make the background of page resize based on its contents. Here is an example of what I'm trying to achieve:

    Screen Shot 2016-09-10 at 12.49.25 PM.pngScreen Shot 2016-09-10 at 12.49.58 PM.png

Thank you! I really appreciate your help.

    (A) open the "rectangle in master" layout page, place a block of text above, start a preview of the browser and minimize the browser window. All work as expected.

It is best to place the rectangle on the page layout (instead of the master page), because if you resize items that should remain in the bounding box, or if you add items, you must resize the bounding box in page view.

The dynamic adaptation of the size goes on your finished page or in preview mode.

    (B) another way to reach a height of actual dynamic page:

Open your setting in page (and not his mistress), open the "Page/Page Properties" menu and uncheck the option "Sticky Footer". In this case, the page height is not determined by the height of the browser window, but by the content of the page. In other words: move or items down will push the bottom of the page down as well (that long these element are not specified as "Footer" elements).

Are you preview site in the edge browser? When you preview the page in the browser Muse create a local server to give you the preview in the browser. With the edge browser, there was a reported issue to access the local server.

Please click the link below that shows the steps to enable the browser to edge.

  • How to make the menu header text open an accordion panel footer that develops upward on the content of the page?

I have a site where the footer information page in an accordion panel that opens on the content of the page to the footer, and when you click on the "label" of the accordion panel again once it closes. I wouldn't need actual button 'Close' since the label malaccaaccordian said 'hide' and can be clicked on close. Just need the Open button. Do not know how to proceed in Muse where I built my site.

It should logically connect different regions or intermingle respective the makings of jQuery code snippets. Your only option with Muse would be to attribute the same IDS for triggers and targets, so that they meet each other in the same key, but unfortunately you know how such things when the site is published. Otherwise I don't think you could do it, unless there is a compatible widget Muse for her.

  • InDesign CS6 refusing to record any kind of file with the content on the page?

I'm working on a book in InDesign (Mac) CS6, and any kind of new file that I create, whether a document or a model, the program does not allow me to save the file to work later. The option is grayed out on the file menu, and the message to save only when I try to close the program, and even then it tells me "unable to save"without title-4 "under a new name". Curiously, when I delete all the content of the page, this allows me to record and do what I please.

On the other hand, I have a previously created document that allowed me to save as I worked on it no more than a week ago. When I opened it, he refused to allow me to record again.

I would contact Adobe right now, because I'm on a deadline, but they do not seem to offer extended support for anything other than their creative cloud programs.

  • Footer now floating in the middle of the page and no background color

    Hi all

Worked on it for days with no luck. I hope someone can find the stupid mistake, because I know there must be something stupid, but it's driving me around the bend! The page has always been very well until I've recoded part of the body (the four columns with titles, pictures and text) in order to facilitate the 508 compliance. Since then, the orange footer which was firmly inside began floating to halfway to the top of the page and the orange background color disappeared.

I went by my code line-by-line delimiting each start and end div tag and everything is fine. Here is a screenshot of the lower part of the page showing how the footer should look like.

    site.jpg

Here is a screenshot of how it looks now in offline mode:

    site-wrong.jpg

as you can see if all goes well, the footer has lost its orange background and is sitting at halfway to the top of the page.

What I found after taking on the heights between text boxes, it's that I found myself with lengths of columns of unequal text (alternation of beige areas). So, I created a repeatable jpg with same alternation beiges and put it under the bottom of the bodyArea tag. Again, if there is a better way, please let me know!

A repeated background image 'Fake' columns of the same height is perfectly ok.

    It will not work IF your page is sensitive, but it's not so no problem. If it were admissible a better solution would be to take advantage of the css display: table; and display: table-cell;

Regarding your footer background color does not appear I guess you have floating elements in the footer container. If yes then you need clear floating elements that allows the container to footer wrap around the floating elements inside.

Follow these steps using css - overflow: hidden; -on the parent container which has floats inside.

  • PHP include command covers all other content of the page in dreamweaver

    Hello

I have problems with my php include command.

I aheader that must be on all pages, but when I include it in a page, it will stop to view the original content of the page.

To be able to edit pages (not the header include file), I have to comment or remove the php include so that the original content is displayed and can be edited.

Is there a reason for this?

    <? PHP include ("_header.php");? >

  • automatically adjust the bottom of the page and the footer?

I have a site of muse with a sheet of master with the crumpled footer to header. In my home page, I have a few photos and text. For some reason when I'm viewing the page in Safari, there are about 5 inches of space between the text and the page footer. How can I get this footer and page down to adapt to what's on the page?

    Thank you

Without seeing the page, it's hard to say, but the problem is most likely either in the in the settings of your template page. Make sure that the "Sticky Footer" is unchecked and that your minimum page size is adjusted to where you need.

Perhaps you have an invisible element on the page. Make a Select/all on the page and/or the model and make sure that you don't have any empty page elements, forcing the page to the bottom.

If none of these fix the question can provide you a link?

Adobe Muse: Why I can not get my page to scroll vertically to display the content of the page in the browser preview?

I am a novice and I do not talk about the web, so please excuse my ignorance!

I content on my web pages in Muse design that descends below the visible window, but when I go to preview in browser, it only presents a preview which is visible in my window. Of course, I can press command + /, but I should be able to use my mouse wheel or my scroll bar to see the lowest content. I just can't understand how do! Is this something to do with the positions of Master Page header footer? They all look fine and normal and all the other sites I've done. In ADDITION, I checked non paged area (Mount table), and there is NO hidden content.

I tried to move my content down (to 'wrong' it to enable vertical scrolling). I tried to move my foot higher than the content, but all useless page.

Preview in browser = will just not scroll down.

Hope it's a simple solution. Thanks in advance.

    See you soon,.

I had the same problem and it took me almost 2 days to find a solution.

See if that solves your problem (if all goes well it has been resolved since you posted).

    1. in the model Master, click on Page > Page Properties > metadata

    2. remove the small piece of code next to the body tag-{overflow-y: hidden}

    3. click on OK, then get an overview of your pages.
