  I bought an Equium L40 - 10 X in August and thought it was good for what I wanted, especially after seeking advice and addressing the 'expert' at my local pcworld.

  However, I think that the graphics card is good enough to support the games I got - Medal of honor Warchest, Hitman Triple Pack and Call of Duty 2. They all sem to recommend a graphics card than nVidia as a minimum requirement. The card in the laptop is an Intel (r) 945 Express Chipset Family (I think) and the OS is Vista Home Premium.

  I have problems include the loss of graphics and stutter during playback.

  Can I have a nVidia graphics card or is the that I've had enough but I just need to change some settings?

  Really don't have an idea, so help would be much appreciated!

  You are shown how the customer can purchase the wrong product. It may be your fault or due to bad Advisory Service. L40 books are pretty cheap with the average material. This laptop is good for everyday work (Office Automation, writing letters and surfing) but certainly not for the complex graphics applications and games.

  Sorry but there is not much to do. Only thing to do is to increase the RAM to the maximum, but forget the graphics card upgrade. Something like this is not possible.

  I bought a satellite 1410 401 and I'm having a lot of problems with my graphics card, with images that I see black glitter spots through the moving image (no problems with stills however) (I downloaded the latest Nvidia drivers) which is quite annoying.

  I don t think that the black spots are a fault of a graphics card.
  You say you use the graphic driver nVidia. This is not correct. You must use the original graphic driver Toshiba or this unit. What you can find on the Toshiba site. Sometimes to watch certain files avi or mpeg your need a different codex. You can find lots of information on this topic.
  In addition, you can change primary parts (memory, hard disk) on you unit but it of impossible to replace the graphics card.

  I have a HP pavillion dv9700 which took graphic errors.  I had several screens blue, few and far between, and finally today as I was loading the login screen of World of Warcraft, it froze, audio, video, all frozen like a broken record, so I had to hard reboot the computer.  When he returned, he had a resolution of 800 x 600 and appear to be using the onboard graphics instead of the Nvidia GeForce 8400 m GS.  The drivers are up to date, but Windows 7 doesn't see this card and gives me an error.  World of Warcraft does not load because it tells me that I don't have a compatible graphics card.

  Hi, I am planning to buy a HP h8m series. I just want to know if it is possible to update the graphics card (by default it is an AMD Radeon HD 6450) to an AMD Radeon 6950. So my first question is, this computer would be able to manage the change of power supply?   Look over thisNVIDIA GTX 57. It has 2 GB of memory, which will help to 3D.  This card is longer and must adapt. You will need a bigger PSU such as recommended by OG.  A Corsair CX600 is a good choice

  The solution for your RAM graphics card will depend on what manufacturer of BIOS you have.

  On my A30, I increased the allocation of RAM graphics in the BIOS (Phoenix) from 64 to 128 by changin the setting of the AMU. (The options available are 16 MB, 32 MB, 64 MB, 128 MB).

  I think that some other BIOS manufacturers do not include this option.

  I just gvot this notebook, Core 2 Duo 2.33 ghz version with the NVidia Quadro NVS 110 M 2 GB ddr2 arionnette graphics card.

  The specifications of this laptop says he would bring a 128 MB for the graphics card. But when I go to the display settings, on the NVIDIA Quadro tab, I get the info he has 256 MB reported.   You can easily prove how vga - ram that you have by clicking on start-> run... and type "dxdiag".

  Then you can see the tab "screen" the amount of your RAM. So, if you have 256 MB of RAM - VGA then you´re a lucky guy and I say Bravo to you for the bonus you have. ;)

  now I have Xp-Windows7(what is XPSP3) but modifited!... I've been using original Toshiba drivers from this Web site. .and I see now...
  My Ram on the card mother down t o 3.5 GB... and graphics card is about 700 MB of ram... I can say WTF...
  IM really not sure if this computer is ABLE to have 1 700 MB graphics card... That's if I remember well AtiRadeon 3100... or sometihnk...

  But as far as I know, this tool is only compatible with Win XP and Vista, so I don't know if it will work on laptops with pre-installed m Win 7.

  I am installing Spyder2 Pro on Vista Home premium 32-bit, but I have problems with this load in CS2.
