Question on the addition of files in Media Center on Equium A100

I recently joined Toshiba external HD drive to my laptop Equum A100. Now that I have moved my music files to C: / to F: /, how can I say Media Center of the change and read files?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Mike,

Thank you for the question to Microsoft Community. I'll give my best to help you.

From your problem description, I understand you want to find out if the SSD is supported in the version of Windows XP Media Center 2002.

What is the model number of the computer?

Windows Media center supports the SSDS. However, when buying, check with the manufacturer if the hard drive is compatible with Windows Media Center operating system in 2002.

  • change the order of the images displayed in Windows Media Center

I'm changing the order that pictures are displayed.  To try to change their order of appearance, I changed the photo taken date of some photos.  When I go through the pictures in Windows Photo Gallery, they appear as I intend.  When I go through the same pictures in Windows Media Center (by date taken) some photo are out.  But they are not the photos that I've changed.

Once they appear in the correct order, I intend to burn to DVD with background music.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hello donb113,

    ·         Have you tried to update the media library of the Center once you have changed the order in which the photos are sorted?

You can delete and any location where you have saved your photos (media files). This will refresh your Media Center Library and sort files in the order that you have sorted your computer.

    1. on the start screen, navigate to tasks, and then click settings.

    2. click on the library settings.

    3. click on remove the folder to watch and then click Next.

    4. According to the where your digital media files are stored, click one of the options under which folders you want to add?, and then click Next.

5 navigate in the folders that you want to add by clicking on the - and + buttons, and select the check box next to each folder. (Files in subfolders will be included with your selection).

    6. When you have selected all the folders that you want Windows Media Center to watch, click Next and then click Finish.

After you have finished adding files, it may take several minutes for the files in the libraries.

Follow the same steps and add the folders back.

This will add the files in the order that you have saved on your computer.

  • 11 media player changes do not appear in the name of the file or media center library? UPDATED, I FOUND THE ANSWER, IT IS SIMPLE AND HAS NEVER MENTIONED TECHNICAL SUPPORT ENGINEERS THAT IT

I ripped CD via MP11 and the Windows lossless format.  After having them, I decided to change the tags like for some of them, a right click, type, no problem.

In MP11 genre tags now show that what I changed them but when I go to the Vista Media Center music library, which is to look at the record music CDs ripped are genres appear as the original labels I came when they were torn.  When I look at the music files also have the original genre listed.

How can I get the genre has changed in the file information (I guess that Vista Media Center uses this information when it displays the kind) in Media Player?

  • Add the network location in Windows Media Center for recorded TV

Locations of tv settings, tv, recorder, more Windows Media Center does not outside of the local computer.  I used Media Center to record some TV shows and I want to spend my laptop on USB large network of an old desk for viewing later.   Because I can't point to this place I'm stuck.
The files are on USB key and visible in windows media player and video location in Windows Media Center.  In other words, none of the news of the series is visible in Windows Media Center (but is in windows media player), so I can't continue to record series because Windows Media Center is not aware of the episodes already on USB network.

    Hello Johngi2,
Thank you for your message.  To change the location of your recorded TV shows and always keep the info so that you won't get duplicates please browse to the following location in Media Center.
Settings > TV > TV recordings > TV storage > storage location
You just change the location of storage on your USB.  Please let us know if it did or did not help to solve your problem.

  • When you try to open a PDF file, Windows Media Center opens

My aunt has Windows Vista on her computer and whenever she tries to open a pdf file that opens Windows Media Center. Is there a way to get Windows Vista to point to Acrobat Reader to open the file, or should it go directly to the RA? Thanks for any help you can give on this subject.

    Steve

    PS; I don't know if it's 32-bit or 64-bit.
    * original title - PDF problem on windows Vista *.

Acrobat Reader or Adobe Reader? Personally, I wouldn't use Adobe at all, but try this. Skip #1 if it is already on the HARD drive.

    Create a file association.

    1. download and save the attachment to the office.
    2. right click on the saved file.
    3. Select: Open with on the shortcut menu.
    4. click on: choose [default] program.
    5. Select: PDF reader program.
    6. check: always use the selected program to open this type of file.
    7. click on OK.

  • KWorld 399U tuner TV USB "unable to determine the configuration of the TV signal" Windows 7 Media Center (64-bit)

I just upgraded my computer to Vista 64-bit for Windows 7 and am more able to use my USB from KWorld 399U tv tuner in Media Center.

It worked fine on Vista, but after the upgrade, it asked me to set up my tv again signals. After that Media Center works "review of TV signals" for several minutes, it displays the message "Windows Media Center is unable to determine your TV signal configuration.

I tried to download and install the latest drivers for Windows 7 http://uk.kworld-global.com/main/support_down.aspx?mnuid=1338&modid=22, but this does not make a difference.

I drove my machine back to Windows Vista and the tuner works perfectly again, even after installing the latest drivers.

    Can anyone help?

Thank you very much for your time.

I had exactly this problem. My Setup has worked for weeks, then afer a RAM upgrade MC could get is more a signal of the usb U399. After a lot of noise, I uninstalled the driver from Device Manager, rebooted and windows prompted me to install a driver MSI... I tried this and it worked only!

The KWorld Installer seems to be wrong.

The location Windows driver is http://download1.msi.com/files/downloads/nb_drivers/tv/tv_mc810_9.603.1.0630_w700.zip

    Good luck.
