  When I try to update iCloud for Windows on my system Windows 10 and Office 365, I get error Code 2434.  Technical support at Apple told me earlier that this was due to an incompatibility 'temporary' between iCloud for Windows and Outlook 2016.  Anyone know if this problem has been corrected?  Also, is it possible that Apple can disseminate a notice to users when it was corrected?

  I can't authenticate on icloud mail using outlook 2016 mac.  This just started about 3 months ago.  Does anyone else have this problem?  I have the latest version of outlook installed.  I'm on OS 10.11.6.  I can access access icloud mail through the apple mail application.

• Acrobat Pro XI and Outlook 2016

  I recently updated my apps, Office365. After this I lost my Adobe Acrobat add-in that allows me to archive e-mail and save it as .pdfs. In Outlook, I click on 'File' and then in the left column, click on 'Options'. This opens the 'Options in Outlook'. In the left margin of the window, I click on "Add-ins" and I see that Adobe is idle:

  

     

  At the bottom of the window, next to 'Manage', I make sure I add-ins COM is selected and click on 'Go '...

  This opens the box of "COM Add-ins" and I see that Adobe is unchecked. I check and when I at the bottom of the window, it shows under "load behavior: ', an error occurred when loading the COM add-in

  

  It tells me that I probably need to reinstall Adobe Acrobat XI. However, I bought the product online from Adobe and I don't see where I can re - download it. My questions are: 1) do you think that re - download Adobe Acrobat XI will do that, go away and 2) if so, how can I re - download it?   Thanks.

  You cannot use the plugin because at the moment, there's an Office 365 (2016 version) bug prevents correct interoperation: Adobe says Microsoft on this issue, now, we are waiting for a solution.

• I have Cloud and Outlook 2016

  I have Office 2016 on my computers that installed Office 365. And so I have my calendars and contacts on Outlook configured to synchronize with I Cloud. I know that many people have the same problem I have in what FEI an Office Update installed in August of this year, Outlook no longer works with I Cloud. I've had several conversations and phone conversations with Microsoft technicians, but as of the now, they tell me there is no solution for the problem.

  I live a few months the problem and will continue to do so, but it seems certain that between Microsoft and Apple this problem should be fixed well before now.

  Does anyone have any suggestions they can give me on how to fix?

  • Connect your iPhone or iPod touch to your computer
  • In iTunes, in the source, under deviceslist, click the entry for your iPhone or iPod touch.
  • Click the info tab.
  • Under Contacts, click synchronize contactsfrom and then click Outlook.
  • Do one of the following:
    • To synchronize all the contacts, click all contacts.
    • To limit the contacts synchronized, click selected groupsand then click groups to synchronize. Note  To select multiple groups, press CTRL when you click each group name.
  • Click apply.

• iCloud Calendar & Contacts used to synchronize with Outlook 2016

  Since I upgraded to 10 Windows and Outlook 2016, iCloud for Contacts and calendar synchronization have been working well.  Today, there was an update from Microsoft automatically installed.  When I went into Outlook, sync to iCloud was no longer work (the menu bar buttons were gone too).  I went to iCloud and made a download of the iCloud for Windows and when he ran that he gave only options to repair or uninstall.  First I tried to fix it, but there was a caveat that I had Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2016 installed and I could have only one.  So I uninstalled all of Office 2007, then run the iCloud to repair Windows.  This time it completed, but on the Setup screen when it has finished, it did not give the ability to synchronize email, Contacts and calendar.  Instead, this option is gone up with a yellow information exclamation that said I could access my email Contacts and calendar on iCloud.  And it did not work as expected in Outlook.  For the next, I ran the iCloud for Windows to install again and choose uninstall.  Then I installed it again fresh, but with the same results, no iCloud Contacts or calendar to sync with my Outlook 2016.

  So I searched Apple Support and see several threads that say 2016 Outlook is not supported yet and an update is coming.  But on the page of the iCloud site Apple where it lists the configuration system requirements, it is said that 2016 Outlook is supported.  I am confused and frustrated.  Help, please!

  I found an answer in the topic Outlook 2016 that solved the problem.  You will need to go to the Windows Control Panel and fix Outlook or repair Office 365 in my case.  Basically, this caused the range of office 2016 to be reinstalled.  Then, without opening Outlook, I went to iCloud and reinstalled the iCloud for Windows app.  This time the option Synchronize Mail, Contacts and calendar was active, so I checked it and then click on apply.  It then proceeds to download all my contacts and calendars to iCloud.  I am more confused and frustrated, but I'm a little angry with Microsoft to get out an automatic update which screwed up my Outlook to synchronize iCloud and making me spend 3 hours of research and the implementation of the solution.  Maybe I'll get an iMac for my next computer.

  I was pulling my hair re the incompatibility of iCloud and Outlook of Office 365 2016.  I finally got things to work on three of my computers - which are on the latest version of Windows 10.

  The steps that worked for me:

  (1) uninstall the plugin iCloud (what version you have); the uninstall may fail but if so don't worry as step 3 below overlays some iCloud plugin version you have installed

  (2) open the Control Panel, uninstall, change/repair Office 365; Select fast repair

  (3) reinstall iCloud plugin (version 5.1), then restart the system by following the instructions

  (4) after the reboot, plug in iCloud application Apple ID and password; Make sure that you enter your apple with the suffix icloud.com ID (e.g., [email protected])

  (5) check the iCloud options to your will (e.g., photo synch, synchronization of bookmarks, sync mail/calendar, etc.)

  (6) check apply it, leave the work plugin iCloud for a minute, when he finishes, check the closing

  (7) open Outlook 2016 and check your calendar or contacts or anything that you indicated in step 5, that you want to synchronize with iCloud.com

  We have recently moved all our macs to XI of Acrobat and other products CC.

  We have a * big * problem with Acrobat Pro XI. Many of the of fact PDF with earlier versions of Acrobat are protected by password. And sometimes, because of our naming rules, the password contained hyphens. We always open our PDF files with preview or any web browser with PDF reading capabilities, but since we use many features of Acrobat, it is not a viable option.

  So I came here for adivces our perhaps painful workaround.

  I've seen reports of this before. I think it's because Apple and Microsoft have different ideas, whose character Unicode one hyphen is. I strongly suggest that your naming regulations include a substitution for the hyphen for this reason.

  My wife uses Apple Mail (Captain El - MacBook) to the e-mail of his work. It is an Exchange Server, the mailbox is large enough (> 25 k messages in 4.6 GB). For some reason any Apple Mail is not stable and closes several times a day. However the question is not how to solve this problem of software.   I support Microsoft Outlook and if it is a more robust than Apple Mail Exchange client, it also lacks a lot of features that you get in the mail. If you visit the Microsoft forums, you will find a lot of problems with Outlook 2016.

  However, you will have similar problems with Outlook. This is the number of messages in the Inbox that is the problem. She needs to archive messages in subfolders in order to reduce the number of messages in the Inbox.
