Questions, I am a beginner

1. what the RegCleanPro Windows registry cleaners? Do I need this? It is $ 30.00! Said it will speed up my performance and my performance is ugly! I ran scans, disk defragmentation, Mr. Fix-it's pretty much all I know to speed it up and keep it from crashing it crashes all the time!

2. do I need to know; all of these browsers IE, Google Chrome, Bing? If yes why?

3. What is the best way to run the backup's, I tried to save the disk, but it takes a LOT of discs! I bought 3 external hard drives last passport, it will not treat my backups. How to do that when I do a regular system backup?

Thank you! without people like you who are willing to share their knowledge, I'd be s.o.l. I really appreciate what you do!

  • Simple question LED to a beginner.

    I have two identical loops in series while.  Each one as a clock and a light timer expired.  When I run it, the first LED lights up, then the second LED.  When I re - run, first LED reset and the second LED stays on.  Once the first while loop ends, then the second LED resets and eventually comes to expiration and lights.  How can I get the two LEDs to immediately return at run time?

    Dark Hollow says:

    How can I get the two LEDs to immediately return at run time?

    There is also an option to execute called 'of clear indicators when it is called. Maybe that's all you need.

  • Questions to combine the beginner Acrobat files

    1. I'm trying to combine files that includes a fillable pdf file to the IRS. I think that the warning when I try to combine the files he calls an Adobe's XML file.

    Is there a way to combine into one?

    Can I change to a "regular" pdf and then combine them?

    2. as an alternative, I tried to create a PDF Portfolio. I don't know anything about the PDF portfolio. I got the files in the PDF portfolio, but not in the right order. Read the help and it looks like not to I can reorganize. Is this true?

    Thanks for any help

    Generally, the problem is that the forms are safe and do not allow any changes. As a general rule, this means also that you can not print in another PDF file. You can check the security of the form with ctrl-D. For the 1040, the following is not allowed: changes, Document Assembly, Extraction of Page, creation of models. The Document Assembly is a problem for you. Printing is allowed, but is blocked to the Adobe PDF printer as a violation of other restrictions. Some 3rd party packages do not recognize security restrictions. You can also print on paper and scan to a new PDF.

  • Oracle made customizations - for beginner

    Hi guys,.

    I'm NEW (not trained) on Oracle form builder. The only thing I know about tool Oracle Forms Developer is that it is used to create and customize forms. I have never used Oracle form builder tool earlier.

    If this tool has come with the suite Oracle Developer. I want to use this tool to customize certain forms custom Oracle previously created by someone.

    Now, I did some research on how to customize the Oracle Forms. And I could summarize the steps here:

    (A) identify the form in Oracle Apps that must be customized.

    (B) go to the specific directory on the middle of the year-groups for this executable form. Say to $AU_TOP/forms/US/POENTRY.fmb.

    (C) FTP that form and all its objects of reliable form & pll files to your PC.

    (D) to open the form, ensuring that you don't get any errors related to the lack of library or missing form object.

    (E) make a backup - rename this form on your pc, using your business of naming conventions.

    (F) make the changes to the form.

    (G) save the file on the PC and download again to $ US/forms/AU_TOP /

    Use below command to compile this form.

    frmcmp_batch.sh module=<path to fmb file> userid=APPS/APPS output_file=<full path to fmx output file> module_type=form compile_all=special

    (H) to move the file .fmx in $XXPO_TOP/forms/US or he would be above the command

    (I) go to the responsibility of the application developer

    Menu/application/form

    Save the form

    (J) registers the function of forms

    This feature of forms must be recorded against the "XX purchase" application.

    (K) now add a menu item so that this function of forms becomes available to specific responsibility.

    OK everything is said. Now a few Questions for you guys to answer.

    1 > in step b. $AU_TOP is utility application. $AU_TOP, forms, US, has a name of the form TEMPLATE.fmb. I read somewhere that we have this FTP on my PC and use it. Where I need to put this file on my PC and how I should link this with customizations of form for which I am working on. Does really take this to customizations.

    2 > customization can be perofrmed through CUSTOM.pll. But my boss gave me a lot of files .pll and .plx.

    So, is it that I just CUSTOM.pll or I would need to use all the .pll?

    How to use my customizations?

    3 > you need go through the stage I, J and K for customizations? As this would have been done already. Or someone asked me to establish the directory. How you compile the directory. ? All I want to see is weather my changes result or not.

    Need help after stage I.

    Apologies for Lengthy question but I am beginner. Thanks in advance.

    (1) Template.fmb is the new development of form. For customization on the form, the standard form is downloaded and amended as required, and resisted the application again. Here are the steps.

    Customize forms comes in Oracle Applications

    (2) Custom.pll is the common library of pl/sql. Just open you will see how to change and this is required syntax. Its like a common pl/SQL library.

    It depends on you condition if change is required on the other PLL.

    (3) IJK step are for any new registration form in oracle apps.

  • Help with basics!

    I recently bought a compaq presario cq60-114EM, it has windows vista Home premium operating system. As you can probably by my question, I am a beginner. I have just loaded my fist top game, the game itself says it's 3.98 GB but after loading it, my c drive has fallen by almost 8 GB. Can someone enlighten me if this should be the case, and if not how I do. Thanks in anticipation!

    Probably a lot of files in the game are compressed and when you installed them they expanded.

  • ADF - components of the access to the contents of a managed bean in a HA environment ViewScope.

    Hi all

    I have a question, I am a beginner with ADF and learn a lot through these forums and Google

    Using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.7

    is the question I have, I have a cluster/HA environment (2 knots) and move my application to use HA.

    I changed the ADF - config.xml to add the following line:

    " < adf-controller-config xmlns =" http://xmlns.Oracle.com/ADF/controller/config "> "

    < adf-scope-ha-support > true < / adf-scope-ha-support >

    < / adf-controller-config >

    I currently have a managed bean (ViewScope) and it has all my actionListeners/valueChange etc... etc... It also has my UIComponent links and I have also several methods that define specific attributes on these components and then do:

    AdfFacesContext.getCurrentInstance () .addPartialTarget ("ComponentRefHere");

    I am aware that I have to put my beans managed to implement Serializable I also understand that the UI components are not serializable.

    I use the ComponentReference method that is to say:

        private ComponentReference<RichPanelBox> iframePB;

        public void setIframePB(RichPanelBox component) {
            iframePB = ComponentReference.newUIComponentReference(component);
        }

        public RichPanelBox getIframePB() {
            return uiComponentBean.getIframePB();
        }

    is the question I have, I can leave it like that? or will I move them to a different managed bean?

    If so, how should I put the bean, it must also implement serializable, and how do I access them from my managed bean viewScope.

    Thank you

    You don't have to. Https://docs.oracle.com/javaee/6/tutorial/doc/gjbbk.html documentation

    The beans that use the scope of the conversation, application, or session must be serializable, but beans that use the scope of the request need not be serializable.

    I personally always add the serializable interface as the bean has never should be selected for serialization, it should not control. It is easier to tell everyone to add it anyway. In this way, you can use the same class in all scopes.

    Relatively new to Dreamweaver so forgive the basic question (I did the beginner tutorials and responsive Web site tutorial).

    I'm looking to put a picture as a top of the banner of the page on my site (which is currently a change of Stargazer tutorial site). I want to have the following properties:

    1 100% of the width of the site except on 800px wide when he stops growing. (I realized this through giving it a "banner" ID and setting the width to 100% and max-width 800px in the Style.CSS)

    2. when the browser is developed over 800px wide, the image centers. (I seem to not be able to work out how to do this?)

    3. once on 800px wide, I would like to the left and right borders to be the same color as the background of the banner image everything seems so seamless. (Once again I seem to not be able to work out how to do this?)

    I would like to make the background color of the banner image is different from the background of the rest of the site image.

    Here is the HTML (excerpt):

    < body >

    < div class = "container-fluid" >

    "< img src =" images/battlefields_banner.png"alt =" "class ="banner"/ >

    < nav class = "navbar, navbar-reverse" >

    < div class = "container-fluid" >

    <!-brand and toggle get grouped together for better mobile display->

    < div class = "bar navigation-header" >

    The CSS (excerpt) is as follows:

    . Banner {}

    Width: 100%;

    Max-width: 750px;

    background-color: #911319;

    }

    I apologize for wasting time on such a fundamental issue, but I'm going along in circles a bit here...

    Thank you

    What is a start page layout?  If so, he joined classes to help you with this.

  • Zoom on a traditional Animation

    OK, so this is the second time I encountered a problem it seems to be a response to. pretty embarrassing.

    Thus, the animation, I do is traditionally done. It consists of a horse of course and a waving flag. Each of these things consist of 12 repetition of a sequence of images, each of which I guess are their own objects or symbols. The animation that I want to do will include the camera zoom on the waving flag.

    As I understand, all you need to do to "zoom in" on an animation, is to take all the objects, the motion tween and at the size that you want it to be at the end of your zoom enlarge. Problem is that I have so many objects of each in their separate frameworks. This clearly is not going to work out.

    Any suggestions?

    Have you ever tried to use Flash VCAM? VCAM is a file (or more as a tool) which can help you to make the zoom easily. I don't know if that answers your question, I'm a beginner.

  • Preloader on frame 1

    OK, so it's probably a stupidly simple fix, BUT - I fiddled with it for a few hours now and im getting no where...

    I have my tween site in a chart (my logo), and then the preloader will appear...

    the preloader is on frame 15 inside his own MC...

    inside the MC is another MC named loadBar, and here is the code:

    function loadProgress(root:ProgressEvent):void {}

    var percent: number = Math.floor ((root.bytesLoaded*100)/root.bytesTotal);

    loadBar.width = p 3;

    }

    function loadComplete(e:Event):void {}

    loadBar.width = 300;

    MovieClip (root) .gotoAndPlay ("begin");

    }

    loaderInfo.addEventListener (ProgressEvent.PROGRESS, loadProgress);

    loaderInfo.addEventListener (Event.COMPLETE, loadComplete);

    now, if you have the MC who has the preloader on frame 1, it works... but since its plot about 15, is not to do anything...

    what I forget? im sure that this question is at the beginner level - help or direction is appreciated...

    as always - thanks!

    wr3ck

    you're not out of luck.

    There is no point to have a preloader appears long after everything is loaded.  You can use the following if it makes feel you better:

    var t:Timer = new Timer (500,1);

    t.addEventListener (TimerEvent.TIMER, f);

    t.Start ();

    function f (e: Event) {}

    MovieClip (root) .gotoAndPlay ("begin");

    }

    function loadProgress(e:ProgressEvent):void {}

    var p: Number = Math.floor ((e.bytesLoaded*100)/e.bytesTotal);

    t.Stop ();

    loadBar.width = % * 3;

    }

    function loadComplete(e:Event):void {}

    loadBar.width = 300;

    MovieClip (root) .gotoAndPlay ("begin");

    }

    this.parent.loaderInfo.addEventListener (ProgressEvent.PROGRESS, loadProgress); this.parent.loaderInfo.addEventListener (Event.COMPLETE, loadComplete);

  • Flex structural issues

    Hello

    I am in the planning stage of a new project and am not an expert in flex (I plan a consultant), but I try to understand if Flex is the right tool for the job.

    Basically, the system consists of 5 modules, each with 10 to 20 questions. Each question consists of a streaming video and then a multiple choice question. The system must track the results of each question and then write the result in the database at the end of the module. Is Flex the right tool for this? Second, I want to be able to add/edit new issues and/or videos easily - what is the best way to structure this (you don't need to be too specific, I just plan it)? I guess that I would have some sort of XML file external that contains questions and a reference to the relevant .swf or .flv video file and another file maps the questions about the modules - makes it his right? I guess that the SWF, flv and xml files would all work with a php script allowing to save results to the database for logged in users? Any help or advice on the structure of this would be much appreciated :-)

    I also understand, Flex can exit projects for either web or use offline (via AIR (I think), but if we create a full application based on the web with flex, including an interface with a Mysql database, can we then export an offline version too, without creating new things? Sorry if this is a stupid question, I'm a beginner an intention to hire an expert Flex if we decide to go with it.

    Thanks for your help,

    Dave

    Flex is an excellent choice for this system.

    Regarding the best way to structure the application, you alluded with modules, and this would be the way to go. You could an XML file so that it contains the questions, or you can store the data of the question in the database as well.

    You can simply use PHP as middleware between the user interface and the database, or you might consider Zend, WebOrb, and Coldfusion.

    You can create a Flex application for the web and an AIR application for offline use, but there will probably be differences even between apps, so no, you won't be able to write an application and use it online/offline.

    Both applications share a lot of code, but AIR apps allow you greater freedom take advantage of the office, so use it to your advantage, but the application of sharing codes, with classes and the custom components in the architect.

  • Download or unlock code? Beginner question

    Hello world

    It's a bit silly question from beginner on in-app purchases bare with me please

    Basically...

    Do you want to download content when you make a purchase or do you just unlock code? If you download content RIM hosts it similar to the file of the application bar? Or do I need to have my own downloadable content server host? (or maybe a 3rd party like scoreloop)

    So, for example, if I make a game with 50 levels and the basic version is only from 30. Can I code upwards and release all 50 in a folder bar but wrap access to 20 of these levels within some type of if statement where I check the receipts of payment?

    OR you release the game with 30 levels and then once the user makes the payment that they download the 20 extra on their phone?

    I am currently looking by making payments in application, that is why I ask. Initially I thought that you have downloaded the content (like xbox DLC) but the code example / documentation doesn't mention anything about downloading content.

    Thanks in advance

    Jason

    It's 100% up to you. If the files are large, so it may make sense to build them in the application so that the user doesn't have to wait to download.

    All downloads need to be hosted by you, the App World servers only host apps.

  • Three Questions from beginner to Captivate 3

    Adobe Captivate 3.

    I have three questions from beginner to Adobe Captivate 3.

    1. I noticed that CP3 only creates SWF files.  Why not offer the possibility to create an FLV file in the final product?  What is the difference between a SWF file and a FLV?

    2. I want my finished product for a single slide with a picture in the background and some areas of reversal.  It seems that no matter what I do, the blade is not fixed, but faints and disappears after the default time of 3.3 seconds.  How can I achieve making the slide remains in place, not disappear, and behave as I want?

    3. I want to do a slide that has a video autoplay Flash on it (this part I know how to do), but I want the slide to move to another slide specified when the video ends, without user action.  How can I do?

    Thanks to anyone who can help me on these issues.

    CP3 does not FLV because it was not part of the specification for CP3. I don't know why it is like that. Maybe the Captivate development team knows for sure. In any case, Captivate 5 was recently released. If the point is little questionable, right?

    Regarding the second part of this question, SWF can have interactivity such as bearings or clickable areas or buttons that perform different actions. FLV is usually just a video, just like a DVD movie that you watch passively, and you do not participate.

    2. I want my finished product for a single slide with a picture in the background and some areas of reversal.  It seems that no matter what I do, the blade is not fixed, but faints and disappears after the default time of 3.3 seconds.  How can I achieve making the slide remains in place, not disappear, and behave as I want.

    You can get there. Just insert a click box and time it so it suspends the slide at the right time.

    3. I want to do a slide that has a video autoplay Flash on it (this part I know how to do), but I want the slide to move to another slide specified when the video ends, without user action.  How can I do?

    So now you change course on us? You said to question 2 you want the finished product is a single slide! This is perhaps another project, you're talking about.

    If you examine the properties of the slide, you will discover a labeled area of Navigation. Using this box, you can choose to navigate to another slide when it finishes playing.

    See you soon... Rick

  • Beginner question absolute to the Labview with GPIB connection device

    Hi all

    Firstly, sorry if my question is already posted, but I tried searching with nothing doesn't.

    My situation: I have a HP digital osciloscope, a HP 54602 B using the GPIB and trial version of labview 8.6. Now, I want to communicate with her from labview. The big question is: how? Before that I used only labview with NI DAQ card and serial port for communications of the instrument.

    the detailed question

    1 is it important (to programming in labview later) what GPIB interface that I use in my computer? Must be of OR? I still have no interface right now.

    2. I ran a search on the osciloscope Web site of NOR and find an instrument driver in:

    http://sine.NI.com/apps/UTF8/niid_web_display.download_page?p_id_guid=E3B19B3E93F7659CE034080020E748...

    . How do they come?

    3. I know there are a few examples for the GPIB, but since I do not have the interface, I can't try it. Is it possible to simulate instruments GPIB?

    Thanks for all your help and assistance

    Hi opiq;

    Welcome to the world of instrument in LabVIEW Control!  I'll try and answer your questions one-at-a-time:

    1. N ° from a point of view of LabVIEW, you can use any interface supported by VISA and your instrument bus.  This includes (but is not limited to) boards of NOR-GPIB, 3rd-party GPIB, USB, LAN, LXI, VXI, PXI, etc..  Of course, if you do not have a GPIB interface, I would recommend a NEITHER - this is the safest way to get the experience 'it works '.  I tend to use an adapter USB GPIB (DISCLAIMER - I work for the OR).
    2. You have two options for installing the device driver.  "" The simplest is in LabVIEW to select Tools "Instrumentation" instrument Drivers find... and use our instrument driver search tool which will be step helps you locate, by downloading and installing the driver.  The other option is to download the zip file, unzip it in \National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.6\instr.lib and restart LabVIEW.  So if you look in your palette of instrumentation, you should see the driver listed under instrument drivers.  The pilot will include some examples of the use of the driver (are all certified instrument drivers).

      In fact, I would recommend this driver rather than that you connected.  It is a more modern design and install examples in the viewfinder of the example ("Help" find examples...).

      Here's a video of the above process (for a different instrument, but the process is the same)

    3. Unfortunately, there is not an easy way to simulate this instrument.  I would just recommend familiarizing yourself with the examples before acquiring a GPIB interface.
  • More beginner questions

    Hello

    Getting started with Java development and fairly new to BlackBerry, so I have a few questions that I hope are easily treated.

    (1) I am aware that there are different levels of API for Java on BlackBerry. I need to write an application that is a little more sophisticated than a web app, but not need features like GPS or motion control. I would like to reach a large part of the audience with a single application. Is BlackBerry JDE 4.0 the best choice

    (2) should what screen size I write to? Is there a small number of standard sizes, or is it everywhere in the jury? Are there still many people using monochrome displays or can only be ignored?

    (3) at some point I need to show my boss of information on what the BlackBerry user market looks like in terms of peripheral distribution and give him a pretty good guess as to what percentage of this market will reach our application. Where can I find this information?

    (4) I really need one of the features is the ability to view external documents from within my application. These documents are mainly PDF files, Microsoft Word or HTML documents. Is it possible on BlackBerry without writing my own code to decode documents? (For example on the iPhone, I can just open a document viewer and pass it a URL).

    (5) I saw some references to a 'business' server or a "synchronization server" that I do not completely understand. In the application, I want to write, all I need to do is to make a HTTP request to a server on the internet and analyze XML data that it returns. I guess that will be OK? Will I have access to a XML parser and HTTP connection object somehow? There is a limitation with regard to what I can connect to the servers?

    Thank you

    Frank

    I'll answer 1, 2, and 5 for you, although others may have answers to spare.

    1. it is a matter of how many devices you want to achieve. I think that 4.6 is to achieve a good balance between compatibility and the camera, well that others may say, 4.5 or 4.2, for legacy devices.

    2. I don't think you need worry too much about the size of the screen, unless you do things that are explicitly graphic, want to do your own drawing for a game or something. If you add a standard user interface elements, should ebb of things, but you obviously test on multiple devices if you are worried a lot about this.

    5. you can certainly analyze content XML on the internet (there are DOM and SAX parsers), but you have to be concerned about the methods of connection on a mobile device, if the connection is by proxy through a corporate server, through the Blackberry Internet Service in public or through the carrier's internet gateway. There are here some guides on how to handle this.
