QuickBooks and Adobe Acrobat Reader DC seem incompatible.

Since updated to Adobe Reader DC, my Quickbooks (update to the 2015 version) software does not recognize that I have installed Adobe Reader software and continuously pushes me to install Adobe Reader to view the previous statements of sales tax.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey dianebarpet,

Please post on the Adobe forums.

Could you please try to uninstall and reinstall Adobe Reader and try again.

  • Difference between Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, please?

I always check manually (and daily) for updates. A few weeks back, I checked for updates of Adobe Reader 11 and found nothing, but found only adobe Acrobat Reader DC listed. I assumed it was the newest Adobe Reader 11 and downloaded and installed Acrobat Reader DC replacement. No problem, very well.

Moving fast until today when I checked the updates to the Acrobat Reader DC, and I found an update for Adobe Reader 11 (Version 11.0.11). So, what is the difference between Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat Reader DC? Should I stay with Adobe Reader? I'm confused! (Thanks a lot).

    New name, same thing.

Adobe will continue to publish updates of Player 11 for a while, but they will not be security update.

DC is actually version 15. Or 2015. Depends on how count you.

  • Compare Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat Reader DC XI

    Hi all

I was looking the net looking for some documents of comparison between 11 player and CD player but so far, I could only find comparison between Acrobat and Acrobat DC.

for example:Plans and prices: compare the versions. Adobe Acrobat DC

Could you please recommend me a site that shows the exact differences between the two products? What exactly is that DC can do and drive XI cannot?

Or is there a documentation describing the differences?

I would like to know what would be the best to use in the future.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi fededan ,

Would like to inform that you can sign the document using the image of your signature, you can erase the recorded signature & clicking again on place signature option, this window will appear:

  • Adobe Acrobat Reader DC does not

No PDF file opens, and "Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is not responding" is indicated at the top of the window.  The PC is running Windows 8.1.  I closed the application and restarted the PC, and the problem persists. I had the same problem with Adobe Acrobat Reader XI.  I uninstalled XI, then downloaded the CD about a week ago.  The problem came back.  Is there a repair for CD player action.  Suggestions?

    Hello

Could a right click on the PDF file > open with > choose program by default and select CD player as default PDF Viewer.

You can do it from the control panel as well.

This would make CD player as default PDF Viewer.

  • I seem to have lost my Adobe Acrobat Reader software.

Hi, I have 10 Windows installed and seems to have lost my Adobe Acrobat Reader software. When I try to download a copy, it fails and tells me that I already have a newer version installed but there is no sign of it in the control panel of the programs list. Any ideas?

    Hi peterg54529365,

Run the cleanup tool "Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat tool - Adobe Labs' first to remove all traces of Reader installed on your machine.

Then, restart your computer and install the software from the below link:

  • Adobe Acrobat Reader DC do not load properly (and eventually crashed)

    Hello

I use Win 7 64-bit version edition + Acrobat Reader DC (with the last update patch)

    Problem:

1 / when I open a PDF file (from local hard drive, click directly on the PDF file), the document shows empty at the beginning, but the content will be begins to reappear (or flashing) when I started to scroll to the top & low... and finally, a message appears and says "Acrobat Reader DC has stop responding.

2 / OK, so I tried to open Acrobat Reader first (direct click on the desktop icon), the Acrobat Reader window will load (or seem to) as usual. However, all displays by default.

-The 'Home' (assumed to be in the middle of the window) menu is empty. Move the pointer across it does not help.

-The column "icon" (below the menu bar) is empty. When I say white, I mean its totally blank icons, not even grey are show.

-The "menu bar" appears correctly at some point. However, once I've moved my the mouse pointer over the menu bar, the menu (file |) Change | View etc...) disappear and does not appear. I can always click on the "menu" but the drop to the bottom of the box and the options (like files... etc) are still 'completely' white

    Action performed:

-J' I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the CD player, does not help.

-J' I have tried to uninstall the CD player and re - install Reader 10 (and 11 subsequently), does not help.

There is a problem with Adobe Acrobat/Reader. If it is running, please exit and try again. (0:521)

Although I found other discussions in this forum regarding this error - none of the fixes seem to work. I have not found exactly the same error number (0:521), I might need a different fix for this? Has anyone else had the same error?

Just to note, this seems to be a problem with Internet Explorer 8 on Windows 7 when displaying PDF files 'in the browser"which is using the plugin. Other versions of IE on other machines and FF on the same machine work very well on the same PDF files. It also works if you right-click on the pdf file, download and view it in Acrobat Reader 'locally '.

Any help greatly appreciated, I'm stumped.

    'Open' Adobe Reader X

    Go to "EDIT".

    Open "Preferences" Ctrl + K

  • When I updated my Adobe Acrobat plug-ins it uninstalled Adobe Reader and installed Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. Can I use Adobe Reader instead?

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Firefox said that my plugin Adobe Acrobat was outdated, so I've updated. It uninstalled my Adobe Reader Version 11.0.12.18 and replaced it with Adobe Acrobat Reader Version 2015.008.20082 DC. I did not like this program, and more I read there are still bugs in there. I uninstalled the program and reinstalled Adobe Reader Version 11.0.12.18. I went into the menu of options of Firefox under applications and changed the options Adobe to use Adobe Reader as the default application for PDF files. It is a safe choice, or should I leave Firefox dictate what PDF program I use? I am concerned about safety issues. Any opinions?

I think that your question has been answered mainly in this thread: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1079182

In my opinion, you can trust Adobe to keep the series XI Reader updated for awhile. It is completely safe is impossible to know, given that vulnerabilities are often discovered and kept secret.

  • Adobe Acrobat Reader 8 and Microsoft Office word 2007 does not work

They gave me a laptop Sony Vaio FRO my birthday about a month ago. I work from home, I work online and I use everyday in my computer. The two programs I use the most are gives me a hard time and not let me use a reason any. The software came on the laptop so I called Sony and they told me that it should work fine, and if I have problems to contact microsoft. Well, my point is its does not work and it is causing me loose not being able to work money. Im very frustrated and im desperately need help. Please if anyone can tell me what to do to fix this problem I would be very happy. IM at my wits end here. Acrobat 8 reader telling me I need a serial number to continue using the program and will close and I lose all my work. Also, Microsoft Office Word 2007 again I need a product key number. I use these programs daily to work, I can't cope with this. They keep making me lose all hours of work ive done. Help, please!

Adobe Acrobat Reader is free, it shouldn't charge for continuous use.  Packages of creator Adobe (Adobe Acrobat Standard, Pro, Pro Extended) cost money.  Microsoft Office is often loaded on a computer as a trial package.  You need to follow up with Sony on these items to make sure if they sent packets of the trial or fully paid packages, and if they are supposed to be freed from the packages that your only relief must come from Sony - we cannot help you here.
