  Just to clarify; only in QuickBooks 2010 (Pro, Prime Minister and the Business Solutions) is designed to be compatible with Windows 7.   After loading the program, I went to the properties.  To get there is to right click on the Quickbooks icon and click "properties at the bottom   There is a Compatibility tab, with a block for "Compatibility Mode", with a checkbox only when you select it activates a drop down menu with various program modes, in that you can run.  I chose Windows XP (Service Pack 3).

  Every time that you start Quickbooks, you will get a pop-up window asking for permission to continue you must accept.  I hope this helps!

  Did both, neither worked.  Back to zero doesn't let me add WMP12.  Indicates an error and no changes.  Windows Media Player does not even appear on the menu.

  Create an another user account with administrator privileges and reconfigure WMP it. Don't you think a difference?

  What I see on the Quickbooks site, only the version 2007 upwards has full support for Vista.  Since version 2005 and before you had to use compatibility mode to work properly.  So you can either try the compatibility mode to see if it works.

  Right click on the executable, select Properties Quickbooks.  There, click on the Compatibility tab.  Use the drop-down list box to select XP SP2 or SP3 of XP.  Use the box and select run as administrator.  Click OK.  Now, try to run Quickbooks.  If this does not work then Quickbooks 2002 is not compatible and cannot run in XP Mode or buy an updated release of the product.

  This can happen if there is some system files corrupted on your computer. Suggest to run a SFC scan, which would be a search for system files corrupted on the computer and replace them.

  How to run scan SFC

   

  1. click on the Start button

  2. on the Start Menu, click all programs followed by accessories

  3. in the menu accessories, right-click on command line option

  4. in the drop-down menu that appears, click the "Run as Administrator" option

  5 If you have the enabled User Account Control (UAC) you will be asked to consent to the opening of the command line. You simply press the button continue if you are the administrator or insert password etc.

  6. in the command prompt window, type: sfc/scannow then press enter

  7. a message is displayed to indicate that "the analysis of the system will start.

  8. be patient because the analysis may take some time

  9. If all the files need replace SFC will replace them. You may be asked to insert your Vista DVD for this process to continue

  10. If all goes although you should, after the analysis, see the following message "Windows resource protection not found any breach of integrity.

  11. once the scan is finished, close the command prompt window reboot and now trying to install QuickBooks.

  Two days ago, when I tried to open Quickbooks 2001 (I have Windows Vista), a pop up came 'QB has stopped working.  A problem caused the blocking of the program works correctly.  Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. "I closed the computer and several times tried to open Quickbooks without success and have not received a report from Windows.  You have suggestions or reasons why this is happening as I can't use my accounting program at all.

• Can not get a window when opening Acrobat Reader

  When you open Adobe Acrobat V2015.010.20056 on a MacPro OS10.9.5 running, no window is present and no files can be opened. I have a Macbook air with OS Yosemite anr the same version on this unit works properly.

  I have pdf files that will be opened with Acrobat DC application which is part of the suite CC.  I deleted the existing DC Acrobat application that was on my computer and then reinstalled it from the Adobe Web site.  The same problem is present.  I can open the Acrobat V2015.101.20056 directly and without window is present, and if I use the file menu and choose a well known file, nothing happens.  Less than a week ago. the app installed Acrobat displays the document.

  I removed the application Acrobat DC and installed a new copy of Acrobat Reader V11.0.14.  Everything works fine now.  I don't know whence came the Acrobat DC.  When I used the "Get Info" menu and tried to change the app open in Acrobat Reader choice, only the selected file was changed when I said to use the player for all .pdf files.  All other files has always tried to use Acrobat DC, and of course, nothing has been posted.

  When I open a page in Firefox, it is just a black screen, no URL bar not back, the button forward or at home nothing appears. After a few minutes I can mouse over some things (especially the blank spaces, where you can enter text) and it will appear, but still can not see the "buttons" or menus (i.e.Internet options). Need to access the internet options choose any proxy but I can't.
