• Quick search works once in a session of Firefox

  Suddenly, 'Quick search' work as the first time I type in a session of Firefox. From the second time, the quick search bar appears no more. I tried to click on the button "/", but not good.

  I have tried uncheck and then check back the ' MySapce for text when I start typing "option. But not good, either.

  How can I fix it?

  I found out why. It's the add-on 'Hide Find Bar' which hinders the quick search.

• performance of the 10g search text fuzzy

  Hello to all members of this community,

  IM new to this and I have a question that belongs to the Oracle 10g text.

  My configuration:

  Oracle Database 10 g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.4.0 - 64 bit

  8 cores with each 2,5 GHz

  64 GB OF RAM

  What I would do:

  I would like to compare a large amount of games of lines between them so that human caused errors (e.g. spelling, typos) will not be tolerated.

  My setup of CONTEXT of the TEXT is as follows:

  MULTI_COLUMN_DATASTORE with each column to compare.

  I create the index with

  Everything works well functionally.

  In my test scenario, I had a table with lines about 100,000 that has a primary key that is not in the CONTEXT index.

  The problem:

  I do a query like:

  SELECT SCORE(1), a.* 
  FROM fulltexttest a 
  WHERE CONTAINS(a.column1, 'FUZZY(({TEST}),,,W) WITHIN COUMN1', 1) 
    AND a.primkey BETWEEN 1000 AND 4000
  

  This will do a full text search in a set of 3000 lines. Here, the response time is almost immediate. Maybe a second.

  If I do the same in a slider repeatedly (> 1000) with various search terms, we take one of course a lot of time. It does in the average 1 requests per second.

  I thought that this cannot be that slow and I tested the same with:

  SELECT SCORE(1), a.* 
  FROM fulltexttest a 
  WHERE CONTAINS(a.column1, '({TEST}) WITHIN COUMN1', 1) 
    AND a.primkey BETWEEN 1000 AND 4000
  

  NOTE there is no fuzzy search more...

  With that, it is up to 20 times faster.

  The cpu of the server about 15% charge when the fuzzy query processing.

  So:

  If I do a fuzzy search, it seems do not access the index. I thought I was saying to the index to calculate the results of 100 extensions in advance.

  I'm doing it wrong? Or is it not possible to build a particular Index to the fuzzy search?

  Are there suggestions to improve performance? Note that I have already read the guide (7 Tuning Oracle Text). None caused advice cure.

  I would be grateful if anyone can help me in this case... Or simply to give an indication.

  The attributes of a list of words can be used to specify how developed the stems and fuzzies create prefix and substring index.

  If you do a lot of research with generic characters from end, like partialword % then a prefix index can make these quick searches.  If you do the research with two wildcard characters, such as % partialword % then an index of the substring can make this faster research.  There is a trade-off between taking time and storage space to create and maintain the index with prefixes and/or substrings and time of the query.  You can specify the minimum length of a prefix.  The shorter length, prefixes no longer possible and the longer it takes to create the largest index.  So you need to use depends on what types of queries you expect most of the time.

  I don't know if you have tested from queries.  The attribute index_stems of the lexer and the attribute of forms derived from the word list generator are in conflict.  You must keep the generator attribute of forms derived from the list of words and do not use the attribute index_stems of the lexer.

• How to disable the "quick search", which turns the key ' / '?

  Whenever I use my Logitech mouse thumb buttons to navigate, the back and the front function also seem to trigger the quick search feature (which usually happens with 'Ctrl-F'). Then, while in this function instead presses of buttons previous/thumb on the mouse appear as characters of diamond and the shovel.

  It is a bit painful because there is always a boring "ding" (the search function did not find the character diamond or spade) and that sometimes prevent me this way (which seems time delay) to navigate.

  Make sure that you set the action of the back and following Alt + right and Alt + left button in the installation software (mouse driver) on your Logitech mouse.

  Do the 'quick search' not quite as fast quick search is case-sensitive. How can I make case-insensitive? I think that it used to be case sensitive, if it's a "feature" can we have the old, faster, the 'quick search' in the back?

  You can open the normal search bar via ' Edition > Search "(Cmd + F) and remove the check mark in the box"Option match case.

  Method 1.
  Check what happens when you use the on-screen keyboard. If it works fine here so you can check using another keyboard.
   
   
  Method 2.
  If the problem persists using a keyboard screen ion then run the sfc scan and check.
  Use the (SFC.exe) System File Checker tool to determine which file is causing the problem and then replace the file.
   
  To do this, follow these steps:
  a. open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click programs, accessories principally made, right-click Guest, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.
  b. type the following command and press ENTER:
  sfc/scannow
  
  The sfc/scannow command. analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

• Quick search of google Xperia

  I deleted the quick search initial google which was at the top of my screen, but I can't add my google quick search widget back to the top because it did not allow me to edit this part. Thank you very much for your help!

  I think that the only way to recover is to remove the Xperia (launcher) home app data.

  This will restore the screens at home to the State they were when you got your phone.

  Settings-> Apps-> all-> Xperia Home-> 'clear data '.

• "index this drive for a quick search" is missing

  I have 2 hard drives, it is OK, the other is not.
  When I click with the right button on the "faulty" hard disk and view properties - general, I do not have the optiions: -.

  "compress this drive to save disk space.

  Thanks for the reply. I came across the answer by searching for something else. Do with FAT32 and NTFS.

  I couldn't understand why I had more tabs on an external drive compared to the other when I looked at the properties.

  Once I have converted my "defective" drive to NTFS the additional tabs appeared in properties and "index this drive for a quick search" and "compress this drive to save disk space" also appeared.

  Apparently you can not index the FAT32 disks.

  We use the AAU 10 g and there are 1,000 users to use it. There are millions of records in the server and users tend to use the wildcard searches in the 'Quick search' option on the homepage.

  There is only one way, we can disable the quick search.

  (1) first, the layout SHOULD be classic. To make a layout by default for all users, the config.cfg goto file and edit it with entry below.

  DisableAmberLayouts = true - this will change all users to the classic layout.

  (2) goto user profile and click on "design portal for XXX (username).

  (3) uncheck the quick search option.

  -My question is, how to realize for all whithout users asking them to perform steps 2 and 3.

  Y at - it no service call, we can do?

• Several boxes of quick search?

  I've got interesting investigation of one of our users of the system. He wants to have several boxes of quick search for different entities (call, request, task) visible in the toolbar of the VSM wrapper.

  So is it possible to change the default display of the toolbar by adding additional quich search box? Or maybe it is defined in the control of the axe and could not be changed at all.

  Thanks for any helpful suggestions or even crazy idea.

  Hi Gytis,
  I don't think that this is possible. The quicksearch is part of the package. You may be able to save a feature request to add this feature. Of course it would be for EXFO if they decide to implement or not.

• Grep search / text search + spent research

  Is it a way to erase the previous GREP search / text (search/replace) searches for 'search' and ' change in "boxes? Is - this specific document or a matter of preference ID?

  

  These lists are stored in the file InDesign SavedData (part of the prefs.). You can remove them by closing the ID and by renaming or deleting the file to your user library (it's a file hidden, by the way). You will also lose your list open the recent item when you do this, but probably nothing else you won't miss.

  See replace your preferences for the location of the file.

  In the quick search, top right, I put a name and bridge find the folder, but later in the day if the name is still there and I want to redo this research how to do that?

  Clicking the back button will not do.

  The cursor again in the quick search box to activate and then press return.

  Be aware that quick search only searches the folder that you have pointed bridge.

  And the small triangle next to the magnifying glass (at least on Mac) icon gives you the possibility to use the Spotlight system search for folder or computer.
