Quit an application

Good Forum,

I was sniffing aroud forums trying to figure out how to exit an application. I have a warning before my app works and if the user rejects the agreement, I would that the closing of the application.

Does anyone have anyInsight on how to do with encoding as opposed to slide it?

Thanks in advance,

Dan Knight

The question describes all this: when I select "view history", the menu bar disappears, so I have no way of navigation, there is no arrow to the left, nothing. I quit Firefox, but only using the Mac keyboard shortcut. I can go back to a previous window only by moving the historic window and I can close this previous window - there is a button for this - but there is NOTHING that will allow me to change, or close, the historical window. My only option is to leave the program.

Both of your corrections helped. The first reminded me that I could simply use command-W to close the library window, because it did not show a close"" button. But your second response on rename these two files really made the tour of Firefox back to his old self once more. Now, everything is back to normal. Thank you.

  • Quit the Application in real time

Is it possible to leave a real-time application of in the software (the exit() function reboots the system according to the documentation) without the system rebooting?

    Thank you

The only safe way to complete a CVI RT application is to return from the function RTMain. If you are very deeply nested under RTMain when you want to complete the application, and it is not practical to place battery completely upward, then an option you have is to use setjmp/longjmp functions to jump up to RTMain.

If you do not skip a bunch of code of long jump, you must always be very careful in making sure you release/close all handles or other memory resources that your application may have acquired, before leaving. Unlike Windows, the RT process unique operating system and the process will continue to run after your application exits, so whatever you do in an invocation will persist.

  • How to quit an Application Widget

    Hello

    I read on

In BB widget api docs. I tried gently to the widget by trapping the output between the use of javascript functions. I used the sample code of script written in the doc.

I added the feature element in the config.xml file.

But nothing happens when I get out of the application with the button exit on Simulator.

Did you call trapForApplicationExit() from somewhere? Just put this code example in your script will not as magically turn you call trapForApplicationExit() - probably of any function you have written to handle the load of the document.

Note that you need to activate two features for the above script at work - blackberry.app and blackberry.app.event. Also remember, as I just said in your other thread, as if the script/page is served from a remote server (instead of being local for the widget), you will need to have the feature elements contained in the element of relevant access.

    (2) for the passage between the compositions, there is a delay with beach ball of about 10-15 seconds, the normal rotation.

The RAM Preview thing is a known issue with Mac OSX v10.10 (Yosemite). See the problems here: After Effects good to go with Mac OSX v10.10 (Yosemite)

Switching between the compositions there this error even when there is nothing in a project with the exception of a few compositions? How do switch you between compositions? Just by clicking on the tabs when they are opened or are you talking about opening comps for the first time in a project?

What are the specifications of your computer?

Something that will probably work (for the second and third things you mentioned) is to uninstall all your Adobe software Adobe CC Cleaner and then reinstall it.

Apple and Adobe are still working on the issue of RAM Preview.

  • 'Stuck' inside an application with No Way Out

I recently bought an iPad Mini 4, my first iOS device after years of Android. There is much to say about the iPad, and I can see why it has become so popular. There are things that I have to "unlearn" on Android to succeed with the iPad, and that is what is talking about this issue.

When you work with the apps I sometimes find myself 'stuck' inside an application with no way to go back where I was before. There is no visible controls that move to be back, and swipe left/right/up/down does not help. The only thing I can do is quit the application by pressing the Home button.

In Android, I can press the previous to go back to where I was before. I can go back in a full application to the first screen. Can I do this with my iPad Mini 4?

Double-click the home button, then tap the application you want to switch to.

  • My iMac opens on the purchased applications and I can't get out

MY iMac has opened on my purchased apps page and I can't get out, there is not even an icon I can close with, help please

    Hello, Debraspace!

Looks like you have a few problems out out of the section of the App Store on your Mac purchase. I know that this is not a fun experience when the software does not work as expected, but not to worry, we can help you get this issue with the App Store sorted.

The easiest and fastest, way to address problems with the gel on your Mac applications should start by forcing this app to close, and then reopen. To force the App Store to close, follow these steps:

To close an application normally, choose leave in the application menu in the menu bar, or press command-Q. If an application does not respond, you can force it to close it using the Force to leave:

    1. Choose force quit from the Apple menu, or press Command-Option-Esc.
This is to press Ctrl-Alt-Delete on a PC.
    2. Select the application does not respond within the window to leave, then click on force quit.

Force a nearby application on your Mac.

If the App Store always gives you problems after the reopening, force quit the application again. Hold down the SHIFT key while you open the App Store once more. Now shift while opening an application on your Mac temporarily that will prevent the app to reopen its documents and windows. If the problem persists for now, the best next step would simply restart your Mac. To do this, select the  in the upper left corner of your screen, then select "restart."

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

    Take care!

  • How can I close control Mission applications?  I hide the dock and it's out of the way while I work.

I want to manage (close) application for running applications windows, Mission control. GNOME Shell has something similar to the control of the Mission, but each window has an 'X' in the top left allows you to close it in the preview... It is the most natural way for me to 'clean up' my open windows.

Always close all the windows do not exit the application. Only applications that have a window like the preferences system, Keychain Access, and disk utility can be leave by closing a window. More information

You can hold down the Option key when the button in an application to close by clicking on a red and it closes all open windows that are open in the application. It does not end the app.

Command + Option + Q allows you to exit an application and to close all its windows so that when you reopen the app it will not open windows.

Since the release of El Capitan 10.11.5, some of my applications (specifically requests that launches other applications) are block when I left them, and they remain hovering on my dock. And no, ctrl + click > forcequit does nothing, and it does not even appear on the activity monitor. The strange thing is the applications themselves leave, leaving behind a shell of an icon sitting there in my dock. I can't reboot my computer because the thinking mac these icons are requests pending to stop smoking because they are forever does not and cannot continue to close. The only way to erase my docks of these stuck icons is to force a shut down that I'd avoid everytime I want to play games.

  • Impossible to download or update applications

Hello. I just got an iPhone 6s it upgrade 9.3.1 and restored it from a backup of my old iPhone. My old phone was running old software, so I have a lot of apps that I need to update and new I want to download. When I press the button update, the circle of the stop button closes the loop very quickly and some of the apps even gray or begin to have their countdowns, but none of the updates of arrival, they stay just like that.

Regarding the download of new apps, I just bought two apps and their dark icons appear on my phone, but I get the error message "cannot download App: '_' could not be downloaded right now."

I tried to find solutions by searching in the forums already, but I couldn't find what I needed. I found a similar problem occurred the year last for many people, but the app store was listed as out of service to the status page of the Apple system and now it is listed as working. I also read to plug my phone in and working through iTunes to restore the apps, but is there a way to fix this so that I do not use a loop around each time?

    Any help is appreciated.

    Hi there iNatasha,

It seems that your App Store like to her begins to update the applications in question, but never really does nothing for them. I would quit all applications running on the phone:

Force an app to close the iOS

    1. press the Home button twice quickly. You will see small glimpses of your applications recently used.
    2. slide to the left to find the application you want to close.
    3. push upward on the overview of the application to close.

When you have done that reboot the device and test again the question:

iOS: switch off and on (restart) and reset

If the problem persists, disconnect from your account in the settings > iTunes and App Store, restart, then reconnect and try again. Please use the Apple Support communities, all the best.
