    I like to use a background image on my quiz slides (see below) and thus answers boxes option and check boxes (which are gey) do not stand out as much as they would on a white background.

    I know that I can reduce the parameter Alpha of background or even use a different background, but before we go down this path, is there anyway to change the color of these buttons/boxes or make them stand out more?

    Why don't you simply place a point box culminating or rectangle behind the quiz answer text captions?  Just make it white and set the transparency on this box to be about 50% or more.  The legends of the response text will always be on top.  The area under expected to reduce background noise.  It should only be slightly larger than the area occupied by the text captions.

    Quiz question buttons don't 'deselect' when you click off of my multiple choice quiz (always view as in a selected state, even when I click on a choice). To be clear, you have box behavior (more than one may be selected), when you want to the behavior of the Button Radio (alone in the game can be selected at one time by selecting another unselects the first).

    To get the option button behavior, in Acrobat, rename fields and give them all the exact same name:

    Then differentiate them using the Options > Radio button choice property:

  • Radio buttons - true/false question rating

    Hi all, it seems so simple, but I spent all the yesterday looking for an answer.  Part of the problem is that all the AIDS that I found are equally old versions of Captivate.

    I want to create a list of 10 questions true or false on the same blade.  It is important that they be on the same blade.  So, if I understand correctly, I can't use the regular quiz blade, but I need to use the radio button widget.  How can I mark these - exodus 7/10?  Work w / variables is really confusing to me.  Thanks for your help.

    Bill

    Interaction of option buttons only has a SINGLE variable that can be attached! In addition, you will need to set this variable in project, Variables. I think you're actually trying to do something that you don't quite understand. I have written several posts on this interaction/widget. Take a look at the one I referred to the former position (on advice for widgets).

    I recommend first to try with fewer variables.

    1. Set the variables one project, Variables: v_one, v_two, v_three
    2. The interaction between radio buttons first and then type the name of the first variable v_one
    3. Do the same for the other two interactions of option buttons, associated with the v_two and v_three
    4. Write in the conditional, tip action
    5. Insert a button (may be a form button) to trigger advanced by action

    This very old post describes the meaning of the variables

  • Multiple choice quiz slides - long delay when you click on the radio button

    Using Captivate 5.5 and slides of quiz of multiple choices, when previewing the project, sometimes there is a delay after clicking on a choice. The delay is sometimes so long that the learner may feel like they are not able to select a radio button option. Does anyone know a way to speed up the appearance of the dot that appears when a learner clicks on a radio button?

    Hi Jay,.

    I would have asked to see the chronology. In a blog I explains the features of the glide of the Question and think that you can't find the answer here:

    Question Question slides

    Short answer: on the timeline, you'll see a suspension point, which is used twice for the slides in question (see the two-step process in blog). Default setting is to have only one break point at 1, 5secs for a default slide duration of 3secs. The actions on the success and after the last attempt (see properties Quiz, accordion Action) are both set to "continue". This means that after the second stage when you expect to proceed immediately to the next slide, the reading head is just to continue until the end of the slide (length by default = 1.5secs). Wondering if you perhaps make longer editing.

    What is possible: drag the point of suspension on the Timeline, close to the end of the chronology of the question slide. Or set the action to 'Go ├a next page' instead of continue.

    Not sure if it will help because I do not see the timeline.

  • Need help with AS3 on Radio button Quiz

    I am trying to set up a quiz question multiple choice of radio button, but I have problems with some of the ACE and hoped that some of you could help me. I'm fairly new to ActionScript, but I'm trying to pick up quickly. The code is listed below. The lines of errors have been increased in size.

    Import fl.controls.RadioButtonGroup;

    var radioGroup1:RadioButtonGroup = new RadioButtonGroup ("QuestionC1");

    var totalScore:int = 0;

    var totalCorrect:int = 0;

    var totalWrong:int = 0;

    cpr1a.label = "" Complete a resuscitation ";"

    cpr1b.label = "" cardio a resuscitation ";"

    cpr1c.label = "" cardio a Revival ";"

    cpr1d.label = "" Complete a Revival ";"

    cpr1a. Group = radioGroup1;

    cpr1b. Group = radioGroup1;

    cpr1c. Group = radioGroup1;

    cpr1d. Group = radioGroup1;

    submit_btn.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, submitClick);

    function submitClick (MouseEvent): void {}

    If (radioGroup1.selection == null) { }

    return;

    }

    If (radioGroup1.selection.label == "Cardio a resuscitation") { }

    status_txt.text is radioGroup1.selection.label + "is correct!";

    totalCorrect ++;

    score_txt.text = "Correct number:" + String (totalCorrect) + "\n"; "."

    score_txt.appendText ("wrong number:" + String (totalWrong));

    }else{

    status_txt.text is radioGroup1.selection.label + "is incorrect. I'm sorry. » ;

    totalWrong ++;

    score_txt.text = "Correct number:" + String (totalCorrect) + "\n"; "."

    score_txt.appendText ("wrong number:" + String (totalWrong));

    }

    }

    I don't see where this error could occur except perhaps for a case where a radio AS2 is used because it seems that they do not have a group property, but an AS3 radio button.  Make sure that your publication of Flash settings are set to use AS3.  AS3 errors normally have error numbers that also made the mistake that you mentioned ring of a scenario of AS2.

    Here is a link to the file that I made based on your code that works very well and does not display the errors you mention.  It is a CS3 file.

  • Captivate 5 - revision Quiz - Questions and missing buttons after review

    Hi, I have a question about the feature of revision quiz in Captivate 5.  When I review quiz, questions and the buttons do not appear.  I checked the transition between slides to "fade in" only.  Questions remain missing after the review.  Figure out and can't find any post related to this issue.

    Thank you.

    Ok.  By the look of your screenshots you have deleted some elements of the quiz question slides.

    Were you remove all standard legends such as the legend of title or caption Quiz, or items such as the control box?

  • Is it possible to set actions on the button "submit" a Quiz question?

    Is it possible to set actions on the button "submit" a Quiz question? I want to advance to the next slide or continue when they get the question right, or come at the end of the tent, they are allowed. I would like to eliminate the Next continue/button. Why does take two actions to come out of the slide? I use 8 Captivate.

    Not possible, or you you screw up the functionality of the quiz slide. Submit button is the most important object of each slide of the default questionnaire.

    I suspect that you are not on 9 Captivate but on an earlier version? Perhaps reading this article:

    Question Question slides in Captivate - Captivate blog

    You don't need the next to all button if you do not allow the review. If you allow the review, you cannot uncheck, because otherwise the user will be pasted on slides during the review. You can drag the next button under the light of the button (see article). The Send button will trigger actions Success/Last attempt, that you can use to your advantage.

    If you want to limit the submission of a single click process, you will find a scenario in the same article

  • Question about disabling a single button in a group of radio buttons

    I'm working with Acrobat version 9.5.5.  I am trying to create a PDF form to fill live rather than on a web form.  Most of it's over, but I have a problem that I can't solve.

    At the beginning of the form, I have a group of radio buttons.  The three options in the group are 'Premium Member', 'Réguiler' and "Membership in decline at the moment."

    If someone checks the "composition of decline" there is a second group of radio buttons later in the form which has a number of options.  One of these options is for members to ask only to send the registration form for the annual banquet.  Only members may attend the annual banquet, if I don't want non-members to have the opportunity to select this radio button.  On the other hand, I don't want non-members have the opportunity to select other options in the radio button group.  In short, if someone chooses 'Decline membership at that time' I don't turn off only one option in a group of radio buttons later.

    A web form is not an option at this time, and of course, I am brand new to javascript, so I don't know where to start for this script.

    You can add a script to the mouse event to the top of the box in question in the second group that checks to see if it is selected, and it checks the value of the first group. If it is a third party, so don't let the choice.

    For example, you can use the following script the mouse to the top of the option button in the second group, and it will prevent it from being selected:

    Get the value of the first group of radio button

    var v1 = getField("Membership").value;

    Get the value of this option button

    var v2 = event.target.value;

    Do not let this option button to select if the membership has been denied

    If (v1 = 'Decline' & v2! == 'Off') {}

    Event.Target.Value = 'Off ';

    App.Alert ("message of error goes here.", 1);

    }

    Here, the value of exports (aka Button value, or what they call it now) is set to "Deny" for the corresponding button in the first group ("membership"), then you need to replace those with whatever you use.

  • Cp6 - Quiz questions (change the behavior to submit button - quiz numbering)

    Hi all

    This is the first time I built a Uncategorized quiz (I call it an evaluation of knowledge - placed between courses).

    I chose Multiple choice quiz and scored (deselected report answers to the Quiz properties).

    Issues related to the:

    Is there a way to change the Quiz unintuative actions and button controls?

    I want the learner to be able to click on the submit button and move to the next question immediately (like any other rating system I've ever seen)

    The way Captivate: click on submit, display a correct or incorrect and if it is correct, ask to the learner to click on 'Y' or anywhere to continue.

    I have three sets of questions of quiz (for each of the three lessons).

    Is it possible to keep the number of distinct quizzes in each lesson. Currently, there are 4 questions in Lesson 1, 5 in Lesson 2 and 3 in Lesson 3. I want some lesson 1 quiz questions to display 'x 4' NOT 'x 12"'.

    And MOST important...

    Quiz results appears ONLY on the last set of questions. I need a result of quiz for each of the three sets of questions. Is this possible?

    Thank you

  • Prevent Question 2 Radio button selection until Question 1 Radio button selection

    I have a script (Javascript) messagebox to appear if the user tries to make a radio button selection to question 2, when they do not have a selection to question 1. However, the message box does not prevent the selection. the radio button is selected after the messagebox goes. How to prevent this? I tried to focus on the set of question 1 of option buttons, but it does not work.

    You could define question 2 in read-only or protected using 'access', until answered question 1.

  • I need assistance with radio - quiz true/false buttons

    I have a short quiz at the end of a lesson. The choices are radio buttons. Some are multiple choice, some are true/false, and they appear randomly. I have a visible set choiceNone = flase button and selected = true, so that the other options are not selected. It works very well for the choice quaestions multiple, but on the second and third true/false, it shows the previous selection. Someone else built this quiz for me, as I am a novice. When I copy in its own file it works fine, but not in this one and not as an mc. HELP!

    I can't open your file because it is a CS4 file, but I guess that the problem is similar to another file that someone posted here some time.  If your issues radio buttons are sitting in the adjacent keyframes, each then inherits some properties from the keyframe before.  One way around this problem is to have empty key frames between keyframes of radio button... But if you need to keep the image by image sequence, then you can try alternating layers so that you can find yourself with spaces between everything keeping the image by image...

  • Label for the radio button question

    Hello

    I use a group of radio buttons in my Vbox container and generating radio buttons for this group at run time according to certain conditions.

    I am able to get the list of all radio buttons in execution, but the problem here is that I put the label property for each of the option button in the radio button group, but I can't see the label on my user interface with the exception of the small circle of option button. I tried I tried different ways of setting the labelPlacement and modification of the container for these components button radio etc etc, but in vein.

    If someone met a similar situation or know something about this issue, please let me know.

    See you soon,.

    What happens if you call the method addChild as follows: -.

    callLater(listWrappers.addChild,[newRadioButton])

    I think that maybe the components are added until they are ready...

  • radio button question?

    I have a group of radio buttons called the loop and the labels are plastic and metal with all the data of "plastic" and "metal". I have it set by default for the plastic button, but if someone clicks on 'Metal' I he reveals an (instance name 'pic') image of a metal loop on the stage. I have problems with the code. Could someone give me some advice?

    Loop Radio button
    Buckle.setChangeHandler ("onChange");

    loop
    function onChange (component) {}

    get the value of the loop group
    loop = Buckle.getValue ();

    check to see if its data is metal and if it's doing the visible loop. If this isn't the case, hide.
    If (loop = 'metal') {}
    setProperty ("peak", _visible, "1");
    } else {}
    setProperty ("peak", _visible, "0");
    }
    }

    I found the solution for this. Here's the code that worked if anyone is interested:

    setProperty ("dog", _visible, "0");
    buckleListener = new Object();
    buckleListener.click = function (evt) {}
    loop = evt.target.selection.data;
    If (loop == 'metal') {}
    setProperty ("dog", _visible, "1");
    } else {}
    setProperty ("dog", _visible, "0");
    }
    }
    Buckle.addEventListener ("click", buckleListener);
