R7800 Streamboost updates are March

I just noticed R7800 Streamboost updates are from March 2, 2016, it is just the age of 5 months. I thought that these updates are supposed to be at least quarterly update and want to continue for two years after the router has reached end of life (terms of Qualcomm) given the R7800 is a common pattern, why no updates? This is not big and has happened before, Netgear do not seem able to keep their QoS routers to update all.

His summer upgrade June now so everything is partially well, it's just that Netgears implementation of it is so very bug.

  • Optional updates are not displayed.

Hello, I'm on a new install of windows 7 64-bit ultimate. Logged on as administrator, all the important updates are installed and update history. But it's not the option tab appears after updates.

Windows update settings menu offers only two choices-

-Install the updates automatically (recommended) Drop Down Menu w/day & time

-Who can install updates w / a single checkbox (allow all users to install updates on this computer)

There isn't any choice to view optional updates... Any ideas?

  • Windows updates are not available when I check updates

    Hello

Since mid-July, I'm not getting windows update for my family vista premium 32-bit computer laptop even if my setting is automatic check updates and download. I get no error and when I click on "check for updates" it starts to check, but finally said «no important update available» Is it because there is no updates since July 15th or is there something wrong with my system to check updates? Please notify. Thank you.

  • Updates are always safe to download and install on my computer?

After you receive the message that I have updates to download and install, is ALWAYS completely safe to do? With my last PC, I got a typical announcement, completely legitimate-looking that I had "several important updates" that I needed to download and install. I have had these ads before on the necessary updates and always took the lead with download and install them. BUT after the download and installation of these special "updates", my computer was completely dead and never worked again - I couldn't even get it to blue screen! Absolutely no response when I turned it on. Since there was nothing wrong with it before these "updates", I can't help but conclude that some of these "updates" are not only wrong, but also deadly!

    Hello

I apply MS Updates regularly and don't have some exceptional outside two optional updates that do not install updates. I think that a clean install would be better here, too. I assumed that the data on the D: drive would be preserved, Yes, but better check with Dell Support for more guidance.

Personal data backup (which none should be considered 100% reliable at this point) then format the HARD disk and do a clean install of Windows.  Please note that a repair installation (upgrade AKA on-site) won't fix this!

HOW to do a clean install of Vista: section "If you want to reinstall Windows Vista by running a new installation...". " http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/Installing-and-reinstalling-Windows-Vista (or contact Dell technical support)

Once installed the clean, you will have the equivalent of a "new computer" in order to take care of everything on the next page before connecting the machine to the internet or one local network (i.e. other computers) otherwise and before using a flash drive or the SD card that is not brand new, or has not been freshly formatted:

4 steps to help protect your new computer before going online
         http://www.Microsoft.com/security/pypc.aspx

Tip: After getting the computer fully patched, download/install KB971029 manually: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971029

NB: The McAfee free trial which is preinstalled on the computer when you bought will be reinstalled (but invalid) when Windows is reinstalled. You MUST uninstall the trial for free and download/run the removal tool products McAfee Consumer before you install updates, Windows Service Packs or IE upgrades and before installing your new antivirus application (for example, Microsoft Security Essentials; free).

If these procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a local, good reputation and stand-alone computer (that is, not BigBoxStoreUSA or Geek Squad) repair facility.

  • Updates are not installed and offered several times

    From: Kayhan

My computer tells me that it will update now and it restarts my computer. After it starts, he said he said updates are not configured properly and it is changes.  It restarts again and made whole again.

Can I do to solve this problem?

    Thank you.

    From: TaurArian

    1. open Windows Update by clicking the Start button, all programs and then click Windows Update.

    2. in the left pane, click view update history.

    3. find an update for Windows that has failed to install, and then double-click the update to view more information.

Updates that have failed to install will display failed under status, next to the name of update.

    4. in the Windows Update dialog box, next to the details of the error, review the error code for the update has failed.

    5. click on the links in the dialog box Windows Update under more information or help and Support to try to solve the problem, then try to reinstall updates by using Windows Update in Control Panel or by mail with the error code and maybe someone may be able to help others.
