Radeon HD 8750M

I have a HP switchable 6 CTO Ultrabook with the Radeon HD 8750 M t-1200 and 4000 Intel graphics.

Problem: When I'm working with Windows 8 they work normally, but after update to 8.1 Windows AMD drivers are not able to open and D3D.

1. most recent driver is dated from 2013-01-14

2 generic drivers do not recognize hardware

3. the drivers for the other HD 8xxx series based computers HP laptops do not solve the problem

Current solution: open the Catalyst Control Center and go to the switchable graphics application common tab settings.  Change anything that uses DirectX to run in energy saving mode it will execute these applications using the intel 4000 graphics card that has a more current driver that works with Windows 8.1.

Solution: at the moment, I think that the only solution is to wait for HP and Microsoft to work together on the creation of a newer driver.  Once this new driver is released, it should solve the problem. The other solution is to stick permanently to Windows 8 and not for Windows 8.1.  However, it's a little more difficult because Microsoft is pushing 8.1 very aggressively.  There might be a way to make notifications and automatic attempts to update to stop, but I haven't looked into this solution.

If you know of a solution or a better solution than what I posted, please share it with the forums. I can only hope that HP is working on the creation of a more recent driver and release it as soon as possible. If there is someone who knows a date of release of a pilot potentially more recent HP Please also share.

Hi WOD.

Here's a download provided by AMD for Windows 8.1 for your

    (x-posted to Forums of consumer...)

I have similar, frustrating problems with a brand new HP ProBook 640 G1 running Win7 Pro 64-bit.

(see here for an original message RE: HP ProBook 650: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Display-and-Video/HP-Probook-650-G1-Radeon-HD-8750M-Intel-HD-... )

I did an install clean system and install the latest drivers from the HP site for this laptop.  When I installed the 8750 M AMD Radeon drivers on HP website (I tried both those of 02.17.2014 and 09.23.2013.), said the installation was successful, but when I restart the computer, the notification of Catalyst Control Center icon disappears after about 10 seconds, and when I try to access the CCC by right clicking on the desktop, I get the same error as the original message above.)

I then did clean install from another and tried to install Microsoft .net Framework 4.0 software you suggested, before attempting to reinstall the 09.23.2013 AMD Radeon driver on the HP site.  Still no luck.  (And, incidentally, the 02.17.2014 installation package seems totally screwed to the top, because it installed the .net packages in English, Spanish and Portuguese, according to me, on my computer...)  I don't have not even tried to install the Intel video driver, because I wanted to see if the AMD driver install correctly (with the CCC) on its own.  No luck.  Same error: "cannot start AMD Catalyst Control Center.  Currently, there are some parameters that can be configured using AMD Catalyst Control Center. »

I lost my weekend on this already.  Oh, and my brand new battery does charge more than 64%, even after a night or more and once again all the afternoon of charge today.  It's my laptop HP or Compaq 4th in 8 years, and this has been by far the worst experience I've had so far with a HP machine.  Most of the unfortunate.

    Well, isn't this interesting...

Thus, HP tech came out today to replace the motherboard due to battery failure.  Indeed the battery in the new motherboard.  In addition, the new motherboard came with a new video card.  On a lark, I uninstalled the generic AMD drivers and tried to reinstall the version of HP from the HP Web site.  And, it worked this time, without any error AMD Catalyst Control Center!

Thus, it seems that the motherboard buttocks was responsible for two battery problem and my AMD Radeon 8750 M driver woes.  Happy I arrived on-site service contract next business day!

  • HP-Probook 450 G0 i7-3632QM 2.2 (quad core) heat problem!

Hello! I have a HP Probook 450G 0 i7-3632QM 2.2 (up to 3.2 with technology turbo boost, uad-core), 2 GB dedicated ati radeon HD 8750 M, 8 GB of DDR3 ram. The problem is while I'm games (grid 2, assassin creed 4, latest games, etc.) my CPU temperature is somewhere about 80 degrees celsius and my GPU (ati radeon hd 8750M 2 GB) rises above 87-93 degrees celsius.

I want to ask if these temperatures are normal? I bought this phone 6 months ago... .No dust inside, no dust blocks out of the chimneys. The heat apears only when I'm kid inactive .in or the temp of navigation is about 46 to 50 degrees celsius.

I use the latest driver ATI GPU, version 14.4. Thanks for listening. Wait for your opinion!

    Hi Vlad7nrc,

To get your question more exposure I suggest you post in the trade forums since it is a commercial product. You can do it at Business Forum. Here is a document on overheating, you may need to update the BIOS.

  • Sapphire Radeon problem

I am running the latest OS El Capitan with a Radeon Sapphire 7950 GPU 10.11.6.

    Model identifier: MacPro5, 1

Processor name: Intel Quad - Core Xeon

    Processor speed: 2.4 GHz

    Number of processors: 2

    Total number of cores: 8

(By heart) L2 Cache: 256 KB

L3 Cache (per CPU): 12 MB

    Memory:                                           48 GB

I used a 27 "Apple thunderbolt monitor for more than a year with the GPU Sapphire and everything was really great.  However, I tried two screens.  So, I just bought a second monitor Apple thunderbolt and the second monitor turns with the above system.  If I try the new monitor by itself it will not work with the Sapphire card.  However, the new display will work when it is connected to my Mac Pro computer laptop running El Capitan. I did a disk repair system, compensation of LANDAU and a reinstallation of the system.  I tried changing the switch on the card, does not.  I had to connect with Radeon and hope they can find a firmware fix.

All ideas are welcome.  Thank you!

I'm confused on this monitor (s) you have.

You say Thunderbolt, but the only Mac Pro which supports a Thunderbolt monitor is the end of 2013 Mac Pro.

Love at first sight cannot be DosFit on the tour D'Argent Mac Pros.

Note that the Thunderbolt plug will connect on a mini displayport mini displayport video signal being a subset of Thunderbolt

  • A Dell U2414H can work with a mac Pro 3.1 (10.9.5) and an ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT?

    Hello

Here's my dilemma. I recently bought a Dell U2414 as a 2nd monitor to replace my old 2407FWP Dell (has died) with the understanding that the new monitor would work (via a DVI to mini displayport cable). I bought a high quality 3rd party DVI to mini display port cable. Obviously, the monitor does not. I can't get a direct Dell response if this will never work. My hunch is the graphics card can not simply to manage this monitor and it won't work with my system.

FYI: I also have an old DELL G2210 (resolution: 1680 x 1050 at 60 Hz) on the other DVI port. So I'll still need a DVI port.

Here are the current video card info:

ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT: VRAM (Total): 256 MB

Here is my Mac info (on 10.9.5):

Model name: Mac Pro (early 2008)

    Model identifier: MacPro3, 1

Processor name: Intel Quad - Core Xeon

    Processor speed: 2.8 GHz

    16 GB OF RAM

Firstly: If someone can give an answer as to if the monitor works with this graphics card, just to settle this matter and move?

Second, assuming that no, my choice appears to be:

    1. return the screen and try to find another 24 "that will work with the original map (someone there suggestions for what is currently still deployed that would work with such an old graphics card?)
    2. upgrade the map so it can handle the new monitor but still run the old.

I chatted with OWC on this subject and they suggested 2 possible upgrade cards but they will not be returned since they could not guarantee that they will work with this monitor there is a risk.

Dell has been pretty useless (I have no one said yes, the other doesn't).

Here are some suggestions from OWC (see below). Can someone comment and tell me if or the other will definitely work or offer another solution? I would really appreciate it!

    ATI Radeon HD 4870

Or more likely: ATI Radeon HD 5870

    https://eShop.MacSales.com/item/Apple/MC743ZMA/

I know there are more expensive options (Saphire?), but I don't want to spend $500 for a graphics card on a 8 year old computer.

    Thank you!

    Best,

    Joel

This is a screen with a displayPort, a DisplayPort outside and a Mini DisplayPort connector, in 1920 by 1080 max resolution.

You are WAY overthinking this. A mini DisplayPort to mini DisplayPort or a Mini DisplayPort to [size] DisplayPort should do all the work for about US$ 10, no conversion.

You don't need another card unless your is dead.

  • ATI Radeon 9600XT

I'm not having a problem, I'm looking for information.

I have an ATI Radeon 9600XT 128 MB in my Mac G5 1.8 DP.  It has an ADC and DVI port.  However, everything I read says this card has a different arrangement of the output ports and was never used in dual processor systems.

So... what gives?  How could it be in my Mac?  EC which could I really have?

Here's a screenshot of my System Profiler:

Did you buy this new MDD?

I suspect also that was an upgrade option, as the 2.5 DP released at the same time had a standard 9600XT...

  • Graphics card Radeon laptop on platform Windows 8 crashes when you watch videos in Firefox. Problem does not replicate on other browsers. Is there a solution?

I have a 4540 of Hp ProBook with a Radeon 7 x chip video integrated of series, platform Windows 8.1. When I watch videos with the browser Firefox video adapter fails and the computer sometimes freezes. If I watch videos with another browser I don't have a problem. I went to HP and have downloaded the latest drivers from AMD but still no will. So far, the only solution is to not use Firefox when watching video clips. In short, I don't know what direction to go, and since the problem seems to be specific with Firefox, I thought I would draw your attention to the problem.

Some additional info... If I bypass the Radeon chip, i.e. use the alternate Intel video chip, I don't have a problem. It said the native PC with Windows 7 pro with the upgrade software and the key of Windows 8. In any case when 7 was installed there where no problems with the playback of videos in Firefox. Installing Windows 8 was installed a clean place, not an upgrade...

    Thank you

I forgot a second hardware acceleration setting, which is changed in Flash itself. See this article from Adobe technical support: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html#main_Solve_video_playback_issues

  • ATI Radeon 9200 is disabled, no new driver available

Disabled Firefox video acceleration for the ATI Mobility Radeon 9200 in my old laptop from SONY. No driver updates is provided by SONY, because the laptop is old. Generic ATI drivers are not available either, because the Mobility Radeon are for OEMS to customize and support, will be not updated/support OEM models which they sold a few years ago. Flash video used to work, until this that disabled by Firefox because of the alleged breaks down. I lived not accidents, anyway I prefer to risk an accident from time to time that clear out the laptop altogether. I gave him my child and for its needs, it was fine.

  • HP Pavilion p7 - 1227c: GDDR5 graphics compatibility question card XFX Radeon R9 380 4GB with HP Pavilion p7 - 127c?

I bought this Radeon R9 380 4 GB from Ebay and installed it in my computer, but it won't work. Turn fans of the graphics card but the PC screen remains black. I contacted the seller who said that the video card has been tested prior to shipment and that it may be a compatibility issue with my PC. I know that this graphics card has a PCI Express 3.0 interface 16 x so that my PC has a PCI Express 2.0, but I don't think that this could be a problem.

Do you know if there is a problem of compatibility between the graphics card XFX Radeon R9 380 4 GB of GDDR5 memory and the HP Pavilion p7 - 127C?

Note: I move the power supply to 650W.

    @Astyx, welcome to the forum.

You are right that the PCIe 3.0 is backward compatible with PCIe 2.0.  However, your problem is the motherboard.  The Radeon card requires UEFI in the motherboard instead of a Legacy BIOS. The BIOS may not be walking in the UEFI.  PCIe 3.0 cards requiring UEFI will not work in any other location.  HP didn't start using UEFI until mid-October 2012.  The latest maps to exploit without UEFI are the GTX 660/670.

Please click on the button + Thumbs up if I helped you and click on accept as Solution If your problem is resolved.

  • Satellite L50-B-1JQ - Radeon R7 M260 working on x 4 32-bit bus only?

    Hey guys,.

I plug just this Toshiba and expected a lot more of the dedicated graphics card.

Landmarks were weak and GPU - Z indicates the card using a 32-bit bus while, for example gpu dedicated 5 years of my laptop cheap used a 64 bit one.

GPU - Z is actually showing the integrated HD 4600 as having 4 times the bandwidth as the dedicated M260 R7.

All the drivers are up to date according to the directives of the Toshiba utility.
All references to the line card say that it works with a 128-bit bus or bus 64-bit for less expensive versions:

On your screenshot, I see that PCI-E (xpress) 2.0
I guess interface memory 32-bit is related to the fact that the GPU is connected to the PCI E 2.0
