  I was see screenshots in all directions 5 Lightroom that shows a number of tools under the Radial filter, including one for the memory. It's a big part of why I decided to join creative Cloud, but in my version of Lightroom 5, there is none of these tools. • Why has the ellipse radial filter suddenly become a black ellipse?

  I was going through the exercise in Chapter 6 of the CC of Lightroom in the classroom in a book and got to the section where you apply a radial filter. I had several tests and repositioning (defeating every time via edit). I have activated something somewhere as the ellipse is no longer one with a white edge and the midpoint, but a black. I have everything set up exactly as exercise - including invert mask. What happened here? I deleted the history and returned by the exercise several times, but still get the black ellipse.

  It is likely that you have defined exposure to a negative value before you drag the ellipse.

  Ensure that all of the sliders are on the zero point. If you hold down the Alt/Option, the header at the top of the sliders going on 'Reset' and you can reset all in one click.

  In general, the changes you make to the sliders after creating the ellipse are not remembered the next time you use the tool, but the slider values that you set before you draw the ellipse will stay as default values for the next use.

  I suggest you to please go back to Lightroom 6.1.1 once and then try to use the Radial filter at once.

  • Uninstalling Lightroom.  Under Windows, you can do this from the Add/Remove Programs screen. On Mac, go to Applications > Adobe Lightroom > uninstall Adobe Lightroom.
  • Download and install the 2015.0 / 6.0 release Download Photoshop Lightroom
  • Download and install the 2015.1.1 / 6.1.1 release: Lightroom CC 2015.1.1/Lightroom 6.1.1 update

• The radial filter guide shows only not in the work area

  I upgraded to Lightroom CC on the release and recently made the last update.  Now my radial filter does not show in the work area.  I can turn it on in the selective settings panel, but there are no guidelines indicating the size/shape of the mask.  The mask shows when I check/uncheck the mask Show Overlay box or the 'o' key (keyboard shortcut), but still no guidelines.  Radial filter appears in the history panel as well.  The selective brush seems to operate normally.  I'm on an IMac using OSX 10.10.2 2013.  I quit and restarted Lightroom CC so that rebooted my machine.  I don't have this problem on my MacBook Pro that has been updated at the same time.

  I use the paper version of LR 6 (not CC) with more returned updates provided by Adobe (6.3/6.4 or GREATER).

  My focus is on the landscape image editing, so I need the radial filter often enough.

  Here's my problem:

  When I use the radial filter, the effect is applied to the image, but the lines of fit & points appear not at all?

  This is why I can't adjust the radial filter. The program has a bug or I can it turn somewhere? Otherwise, the radialfilter is useless - pretty bad when you pay a lot of money for an original version of LR.

  Press the 'H' (for 'hide' (H) button to toggle the contour of the filter. Press the "O" (for "overlay") to activate or deactivate the mask overlay.

  BTW:

  "the more resent updates provided by Adobe (6.3/6.4 or almost).

  The most recent update is 6.7.

  'o' switches to a nd off the coast of the visibility of the mask (default is red).

  Hit 't' to see the toolbar and you can select the same (and more options) there.

  Although versions of ACR are the same novelty CC in ACR are disabled in CS6, even when you use the version version 13.1.2 CS6 creative cloud.  It works this way also in CS6 perpetual Windows version 13.0.1.3 and version 13.0.6 Mac versions.

  Adobe also announced that the ACR 9 is the latest version for CS6. CS6 users no longer get new update of camera in the future will support use the DNG Converter.

  The radial filter works only in CC not CS6.
