RAM for HP pavilion dv6 3004-SO
Hello
I am writing from Denmark. I want to upgrade my RAM 8 GB memory.
Product number: XB526EA #UUW
Serial number: [personal information deleted]
Processor bicoeur AMD Athlon (TM) II N330
ATI graphics card (ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470) XT with 512 MB of video memory Park dedicated
My current system memory is:
Samsung 2GB 1066 MHz
Samsung 2GB 1066 MHz
I found the following:
RAM, 8 GB: 2 x 4 GB (Dual Channel), SODIMM 204 pins (for laptop), DDR3 1066 MHz / PC3-8500, CL7-7-7-20, 1, 5V, not buffered, no parity
http://www.Proshop.dk/RAM/Corsair-vs-so-DDR3-1066-DC-8gb-2148840.html
Could you please tell me if this is compatible with my system?
I read on the user manual than if I buy the other version at 1333 MHz / PC3-10600, CL9 he'll get automatically back to 1066 Mhz.
To other buyers, I also heard that the CL should be less for performance so logically the CL7 is best?
Thank you in advance.
Best regards
Giulio

Pavilion dv6: upgrading RAM for HP Pavilion dv6
Hello
I want to upgrade the memory of my laptop. It has 4 GB (2x2gb). I want to move to 8 GB or 16 GB, if possible. I found some RAM modules on newegg.com such as this one - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820139976 - I wonder if it will be compatible with my laptop. Here are some features of the system:
-Model: HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC
-Processor: Intel Core i7-2630QM CPU @ 2.00GHz
-RAM: 4 GB
-System type: 64-bit operating system
You do not give us the model exactly but dv6 with processors Intel Core gen 2d max to 8 gigs. 3rd and 4th generation can take 16.
The type of memory that you have linked works perfectly... but not the 2 x 4 GB modules, 8 modules of concert. Also note how the picture shows 8 black blocks on the side of the memory... get the modules like this, not with 4 blocks. The speed is correct. DDR3-1333. Let us know if you need help most.

It is Possible to replace the drive DVD Bluray for HP Pavilion dv6-6176sx
Hi all
It is Possible to replace the DVD Bluray for HP Pavilion dv6-6176sx notebook PC Player?
Thank you
Of course it isn't yet very difficult. You just need a BR drive or a drive? The replacement drive will be $80-120, or so, maybe a little less. You can find them on eBay. You can use a generic but that may require a redesign of the front or just get a car dv6-6000 BR on eBay. Trade on with a few screws on the bottom. Get out and drag the replacement. You will need new software to play BR movies, of course.

Anci SATA for HP Pavilion dv6-1230us controller driver.
I need driver Intel Sata Controller Anci (I want to install windows 7) for HP Pavilion dv6-1230us.
Hello
If you can still access Windows, please go to your device manager. Click on the pointer little next to IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers and display the name of your controller SATA ACHI.
I think that according to the manual, it takes the ICH 9 M.
Here is the link to the drivers: you must select the 32 or 64 bit version as appropriate.
Copy them to a USB FlashDrive as you see them. Do not put them in a folder. That plug into a USB port. Start the PC and press F6 to load the sata driver or if the installation asks you for this you will need to use your Up / Dn arrows on your keyboard and select the Intel(r) ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller.
Please note that it may not be initially visible in the list of drivers on your screen, this is why you must use the arrow keys to find. Once you, just select it and press on enter and hope that your installation will continue.
Link to the drivers:

Hello
Basically, you can, with a cost, and I think that this cost can be more expensive than buying a new computer because you have to take into account:
- New price of the card, and WHERE you can buy it because the laptop cards are not the same office maps. You can't buy any normal store,
- Need new card system (Yes),
- Need new system of cooling because in general more powerful card pumps out more heat (you want more powerful card don't you?).
- May need new power supply because your current diet is not suitbale for the card. (I ordered a machine with the Nvidia card and I need to order a 90W charger at the same time, not the normal charger 65W. They rejected just my order.)
- Cost of the work.
- Packages a lot, a lot of aspirin.
It can be cheaper to buy a new machine.
I hope this helps.

RAM suitable for HP Pavilion dv6 - 3180st
Hello world
I own a HP Pavilion dv6 - 3180st for a few years, recently I decided to upgrade my ram memory, yet I'm the one who lost I should buy.
Currently I have a 4GB Hynix 1067 Mhz (which is almost impossible to get these days),
CPU is ark.intel.com/products/50179/Intel-Core-i5-460M-Processor-3M-Cache-2_53-GHz
(that supports 800/1066 MHz RAM).I have been recommended and sold a http://www.kingston.com/datasheets/kvr13s9s8_4.pdf (1333 MHz), which is not compatible, so someone will be perforated, but will not be between my RAM.
Is there a chance I can 'customize' that RAM Kingston to work or (more probably) what RAM actually buy today that would be functional?
Thanks for the reply,
Jaromír
Hello:
HP laptops as memory of very low density.
The link you posted does not work, but I copied the memory model and stumbled on this...
http://www.Amazon.com/Kingston-1333MHz-PC3-10600-notebook-KVR13S9S8/DP/B008CP5QJK
I see that illustration 4 black briefs on each side of the memory card.
You need memory which has 8 small black chips on each side of the memory card. It is normally more low density memory and should work.
The specs are fine (PC3-10600) or you can use PC3-8500.
But you should look for a kingston or another chip of memory brand that looks like that and nothing less.

Need help for upgrade of RAM and hard drive for HP Pavilion dv6-2130ej
Hello.
I have the HP Pavilion dv6-2130ej with windows 7 Home Prem OA system.
1. I would like to improve my RAM from 4 GB to 8 GB memory.
2. I would like to add another hard drive instead of CD space. Can you tell me please, what I need to change the card of 4 GB to 8 GB card or is there another place to add a 4 GB card more?
In any case, I would like to get a memory card description that corresponds to my computer so I do not buy the wrong memory card. Characteristics of the witch, I do?
Is it possible to add another hard drive to the computer instead of the Conference on disarmament and please tell me what parts do I need to buy and what is the maximum. Storage hard drive which may include my computer? There now 4RAM internal memory and 500 GB hard drive.
I would like to make my PC as strong as possible because I use it for work with heavy programs editing and I need a lot of internal memory.
Thank you for your help,
Waiting for a response,
You can contact me by email too
[Personal information]Vira.
Hello.
I think you can install the drive and use your recovery disk to reinstall Windows.
You can change the hard drive of your computer with a WD one Pavilion, just keep in mind that you need a 2.5 inch drive. In addition, if your Pavilion model is dv6500 or more, it has a SATA-II interface, but you can always take a drive SATA-III and it will not work (although will run at the lower speed of SATA-II).
Here, you want to take a look at all our 2.5-inch drives:

Hope this helps and let me know if you have any additional questions.
See you soon!
