Ranking multiple choice of multiple responses

Hello! I am trying to create a quiz in Captivate 4, but I'm running into a bit of trouble. I am using multiple - answer multiple choice questions, but I want to rank in a granular way, instead of completely. So far, if a user forgets one answer or just checking one of them which is incorrect, the whole issue is counted wrong. I would like to be able to give the user of 10 points for each answer to the question (and possibly-10 points for each answer additional "bad").

Is it possible to change the ranking of these issues other than writing my own question widget?

Thank you! Tim

Hello

With question slides by default partial credit is not possible. However, since you are using CP4, you can build your own question slides, using legends, clickboxes (or buttons) and calculate the score on the use of variables and advanced actions. The other workaround is to create your own widget Question indeed.

  • Application of multiple responses

I have a question about issues where you need to give multiple responses within the exam VCP - VTC. I am referring to issues where you are asked to choose two or three answers of the selection.

Do you get marks for each correct answer you give, or do you find only the brands when you get all the correct answers?

I'm curious as I tried the test on the VMware Web site and I did pretty well, but I noticed I'm getting credit for greatly on a few issues where I got two of the three correct.

    Thanks for the clarification!

    Hi RS,.

No, you don't get marks for a partial success in examination VCP. If the answer has two choices so both are right it will be marked as incorrect. However, you get marks for a partial success for VMware VCAP as advance reviews.

  • Quiz with multiple responses

Hello. I am a relatively new user to Captivate and am trying to create a quiz. I want to have questions which may have five or more possible choices (multiple choice), but two or more are correct.

    For example,.

The first three letters of the alphabet are:

    1A

    2B.

    3 C

    4 D.

    5 E

In order to get the right answer, the user must check the first three.

I do not see this type of question format in pre-packaged ones that come with the software. Is there a way to do this?

    Thank you.
    Doug

    Hello and welcome,

It is a Question multiple choice with multiple responses, is available. You can even turn on partial credit and use the sentence.

  • Multiple choice questions: "Advanced response Option" went when changing multiple response

    Hello

I have a multiple choice question and each answer has a check box to enable the option Advanced answer.

I have another question multiple choice and the advanced answer option is not there--not that gray... is simply not there. The only difference I see between these issues is that one of them is to have several correct answers (2 of 4 correct) while the first MCQ has only one correct answer on 4.

Any ideas why this is missing?

Advanced response option is available for only one correct answer. Only one

custom question slide can give you that control.

  • Accessibility by keyboard - multiple responses

    Hi all

I am creating a project with a focus on accessibility - one aspect of what is to be able to drive all of the module using the keyboard.

I all aspects, but a job via the keyboard: several correct quiz questions.

For multiple choice questions you can easily tab the relevant radio button and press 'enter' to select it, however, you can do this for questions where there is more than one correct answer.  I can tab the check boxes, but when I hit "enter" nothing happens.  I can't seem to find a way to add a shortcut to this either.

Does anyone have a solution for this?

    TIA!

    Hannah

You can try the SPACEBAR to enable or disable the check? It works normally in most of the applications; I have not tried in Captivate and are not currently on my PC to test.

  • The hidden fields and multiple responses

    Hello

I have a form that consists of drop down lists and hidden fields, depending on the response to the drop-down list, then a hidden field appears. I am bad at work is how the code if a user answers Yes to the first drop-down list, this then invites a fall lower, who once answered will 3 more open fields.

    Example of

Question 1 individual or company answer person of company

    Question 2 is a new client yes/no

(if the user has answered no then this can encourage an another series of questions according to what the user has answered the question 1)

For individual would ask the question

Question require us proof of address

For the company would ask the question

Question require us registration of the company

How can I hide the fields initially and show them only according to the combination of the answer.

    Any help would be appreciated

    Thank you

I created a simple example for you. Note that the code that shows and hides is about the e eexit event of the DDLists. I put the parts of the evidence of address in a subform, and I have to hide the subform to hide all of its child components... I don't have to hide each component of the object of the evidence in the record. Also, the form must be saved under Dynamics for the presence changnes is taken into account.

    Hope that helps

  • How the Ombudsman handles multiple responses

I have a mediator who sent the same message to two BPEL process. When the two return process, they send back different answers. What the itinerary of the mediator response will return to the original caller?

I don't see how we can combine the, because they can return at different times, and they can be different. If anyone knows how to combine them, it would be great.

If it can not be combined, is it time based, the first reaction of BPEL is used, or the last answer?

    Thank you!

"22 understanding Message Exchange Patterns of a mediator" described developer guide how input is mapped to the output for all models.

  • Count multiple responses in a single cell

I have a spreadsheet with data in an investigation. Some questions have more than one valid answer. In these cases the data were entered in the same cell. So, I have a column that looks like this:

    Green, blue, Red

    Blue, Orange

    Yellow, green, blue

    Black, green, red, Orange

    And so on...

I can't understand how to count the number of 'Green' for example.

In excel I use this formula:

    = SUMPRODUCT (-IsNumber (Search (text_to_find, within_text)))

I try to convert it to changing number ISNUMBER (for NOT (ISERROR (but does not work.))

    What I am doing wrong?

I would solve you the problem like this:

Make sure that the table has two header lines by selecting the table, then using Table formatter:

Now add the colors all row 2 of the table, as shown.

    B3 = if (a3≠"", Len ($a3) ≠Len (Substitute($a3,B$2,) "", namely "))," ")

It's shorthand dethrone select cell B3, and then type (or copy and paste it here) the formula

    (= IF (A3≠"", LEN ($A3) ≠LEN (SUBSTITUTE($A3,B$2,) "", namely "))," ")

    Select cell B3, copy

Select cells B3 at the end of the G column, paste

now to count the occurrences of each color:

    B1 = COUNTIF (B, TRUE)

    Select cell B1, copy

Select cells B1 to G1, dough

  • Quiz for the listing of multiple responses

    Hello.

I have a quiz with questions that have more than one answer. For example, a fill whites with 5 spaces.

Is it possible to have the user score 1 point by white? At the moment if I put it at 5 points, they always score 0, even if they get 4 out of the 5 correct.

I'm trying to do the same thing for a matching question too (1 point per exact match).

    Thank you.

For this type of interaction, you would be better to build your own question slides customized using click boxes to create areas affected as a hotspot of slide and text entry boxes to create fields as a fill whites quiz slide.  Of course these would not NOT then behave like quiz questions normal for things like Mode of visualization and SCORM etc, but you would be then able to mark each individual zone or field any way you want.

  • multiple choice with partial credit question, I have 10 responses only 6 are correct.  How to assign 10 points for each of the six correct answers for a total of 60 points setting?

How can I assign partial credit so that for each possible answer 6 out of 10 each correct answer gets 10 points each, with a possible total score of 60 points quiz?

To Captivate 7, please go to the Quizzing workspace. You will have the properties and properties Quiz Panel visible. I will now repeat the workflow, I explained briefly for CP7:

    • Check the partial score in the Quiz properties and also multiple responses.
    • Indicate the correct answers on the stage
    • Select the first correct answer on the stage text caption and indicate its score (10pts) in the properties panel, not in the Quiz properties!
    • Repeat the same for each correct answer
    • Check the total score in the properties of the Quiz Panel: should now be 60pts to the full question.

None of the quiz system variables can be changed, they are read-only. System variables in Captivate 6 - Captivate blog explains the system variables for 6 categories, there are a few changes in 7: new features of Captivate 7.01 - Captivate blog but the Quiz category is always read-only.

  • Captivate 9 Advanced Multiple-answer questions to check how many selected answers

I implemented a knowledge question control multiple response that has 3 correct answers. The comments of some users, it's that they forget to read the instructions, so here a guest if they check only two possible answers instead of the 3 required full. I don't know even where to start with this one. Does anyone have advice?

    Thank you.

This WOULD have been possible if multiple answer questions also had the option of advanced response which is currently ONLY available for the multiple choice questions.  But bony issues do not have this option.

You are the best solution is to let several attempts on the instructions in question and the place in the legends of feedback failure the user will see when they go wrong.

  • Poll: choice of rating

    Hello

I tried to understand how to create and get the final score for a simple survey with 35 statements form, each with a choice of 5 responses, without success.

Each question has 5 radio buttons that are grouped (exclusion group?). The survey taker is asked what answer describes specifically how the statement applies to them: the answer 'always' is marked 4, the answer 'often' is marked 3, 'sometimes' is 2, the "rarely is 1 and the 'never' is 0. As a group of radio buttons, one of the five available choices can finally be chosen. I used the link tab to assign the correct value to each of the 5 option boxes in the group.

This is where I get lost: I think I would need to write JavaScript (prefer JS FormCalc, given that I've used before JS in other applications) who would say something to the effect: If you click on buttongroup1button1, 4 in a variable, put another if button2... But the event to use, as well as the correct syntax of the JS is beyond my beginner skills.

Maybe there is even an easier way. There I can understand the script for a button group, so I can reproduce it for the other statements/34 buttongroups. Then I hope a small script added a 'submit' button or 'total' to add up all the variables containing the values of 35, to get and display a total general.

I enclose a sample of the form Designer.

All suggestions, examples to start would be appreciated.

    Kind regards

For question 4, below, you can apply formatting to a text field with a FormCalc Sum function as follows:

    # form1.page1.subform1.total::calculate - (FormCalc, client)

    Sum (form1.page1.subform1.q1, form1.page1.subform1.q2, form1.page1.subform1.q3, form1.page1.su bform1.q4)
