Raw Canon G7X Mark II support

I have 14 elements with Adobe Raw c. 9.5.0.585.  I pre-ordered a Mark II Canon G7X.  I understand produced with this camera raw files are different from those of the first generation G7X.  This software will be compatible with the raw files of G7X2?  I had this problem with the Canon 7 d Mark II.   Thank you.

This software will be compatible with the raw files of G7X2?

Camera Raw does not yet support the G7X Mark II.

You will have to wait for the next update to Camera Raw. Use the Canon software waiting to open the first and save as a TIFF.

  • Canon Powershot G7X Mark II - no support raw in LR

Just updated to LR 6.5.1 but still not able to import camera raw files. The extracts show ok, but after the photo tagging for the import, I get a message that this raw format is not supported. I understand that it is a device very new (since May 1, 2016), still a bit disappointing because G7X mark I thought files are supported, so I naively waited it works out of the box.

From reading the forums, I got the impression that it is usually impossible to get an ETA on what support for new formats of cameras / will be added, but having a wire at least allows people to express their interest and find solutions to work with raw files in LR.

New camera model is new file format = new need software to read.

It takes usually 1.5 minor updates from Adobe to get the new camera in support of ACR and Lightroom. You are looking at a minimum of version 6.6, expected in three months, or 6.7 three months after that. About. Of course, no company, including Adobe, discussing schedules with the public.

Meanwhile, at a minimum, you can use the software provided with the camera to convert raw files TIF (or JPG) files, and then import the TIF files.

  • Canon 1Dx raw Mark II support Photoshop CS6 files

I can't open the raw files from my Canon Eos Mark II 1Dx. I use photoshop CS6. I tried to update, but the system indicates that it is up-to-date. Would appreciate the help.

    Hi andrzejp,

Mark II Canon EOS 1DX raw files require the raw camera 9.5 version that is supported in Photoshop CC and above.

Therefore, you must either upgrade to Photoshop CC or Adobe DNG Converter allows you to convert raw files to DNG and access these DNG files in Photoshop CS6.

Is the new Canon EOS 7 d Mark II supported in Lightroom and Photoshop in creative cloud?  If not, is anyway to know when it will be? My latest version of Lightroom (5.6) does not recognize this camera RAW files.

You need Adobe raw camera 8.7 version. Unfortunately your software is earlier than the camera. ACR 8.7 is only compatible with PSE13. But it is possible to download and install the free DNG Converter to convert your raw files to the universal Raw format files and Adobe will be open in all versions of PSE (keep your originals as backups and for use in the software of the camera factory)

Download Windows (.exe file) click here DNG Converter 8.7

You can convert an entire folder of images raw with a single click. See this quick video tutorial:

  • A Raw of Canon S120 file is supported in Lightroom 4.4 or am I being forced to upgrade or wait for support with this version?

Use and love Lightroom 4.4.  Tried to open the RAW of Canon 120 format. CR2 and get error / unsupported messages. On Adobes great little table, I see that I need a newer version to use my S120. Am I obliged to being upgraded to use my camera in RAW, or is there some support or correct to use my camera and the version without an expensive and useless upgrade. If I wait for support will be added or available somehow?  If so how do I know or get it? What about Tom

Support for the camera will be added natively 4.4 Lightroom. This version is now history and is is no longer updated by Adobe. Lightroom 5.3 or newer version is required to open raw files. However, Adobe provides a free DNG Converter that will allow you to create copies of these raw images that can be opened in the Lightroom that you now DNG. So, Yes, there is a method that is provided for you to work on this camera raw image data.

  • How to activate the camera CANON G7x profile in LR 5.7.1

    Hey dear community,

I'm trying to get the camera to my CANON Powershot G7x active profile, but it does not appear when I import my pictures from the CANON. All other profiles as G1x, G10, G11, G15 of Canon.

    What should I do?

I use LR 5.7.1 on a MACBookPro Mid 2010 with OS X10.11.4 with 8GByte of RAM

Thanks for feedback and Franconian spring greetings

Raws G7X have been supported since LR 5.7.

Camera profiles should include Adobe Standard and camera faithful/landscape/Monochrome/neutral/Portrait/Standard

Lenses for the G7 X profile is built in and still more if that's what you're talking about.  6 LR and LR CC and CC of Photoshop with ACR, 8.2 or more recent, both have a way of seeing that an integrated lens profile is used.  Here's how things look at PS CC ACR 9.5, where, as you can see not one, the embedded profile corrects lens distortion and Chromatic Aberration:

If you speak a G7X Mark II, so it's a very recent device, and Adobe is not compatible until after it's all first available for sale in the United States at the end of May.

Files Raw Canon 7 d only appear in Adobe Bridge CC, I downloaded the update from Raw, 9.1 I think.  But that didn't fix it.  I use a PC, I just got it, showed the RAW files on the computer I was using.  Please help, I think my head is going to explode.

Thank you!  I'll give it a shot.

I think the issue might be with my camera.

I found a few old raw hard disk files and I was able to view those, but not those who was on the card in the camera.  The DNG Converter also wouldn't recognize them.  But I had no problem import into LR.
