• Flash vs animate using Animate/encode for the class

  Hello!

  I take Adobe animate as a class for graduate studies. I use the latest version of Animate, however, the class uses the book of Flash CC 2013 for the lessons. In Lesson 7 I have Media Encoder allows you to convert video files for the project Animate lesson. The book ask the converted videos is no longer available due to updates. I am just learning all this so I don't know what is the equivalent of what I need. The original file format is H.264 preset is Source of Match - broadband and the lesson asks me to convert it to the Format F4V and Preset Web - 320 x 240, 4 x 3, project Framerate, 500 Kbps. help, please!

  Support for FLV and it seems F4V, has been abandoned for a long time. You may need to check with your teacher if you can say MP4/H.264 to these same settings. Or, if you look at the menu CC, applications tab, you can set up previous versions of the applications, then use the version from 2013. Don't know if this is old enough, you may need to install the version of CS6.

  I use a certain controls fast query table. Some tables have only one or two columns displaying data.

• Compensate for the div / positioning in IE problem

  I posted this problem in another thread, but it was a sub-question. Anyway, the problem I have is positioned a div on all other divs. I managed to make it work perfectly on Firefox and Chrome as I wanted. The problem is usually when it comes to internet explore. I want just the image or the div on the right side of the site, but always placed by changing properties will give the same result, places of internet explore is far away where it is supposed to be.   I have Oracle 10 g 2.
  
  My problem is the following:
  
  I created a network named ITALIA_NET in the data model for the Oracle network.
  The table of links of this network is named: ITALIA_NET_LINK$.
  The table of the nodes of this network is named: ITALIA_NET_NODE$.
  
  The table ITALIA_NET_LINK$ contains a field named COST that contains links (in meters) lengths.
  
  I've already calculated the SHORTEST PATH between two nodes of the network, by using the method of shortestPath() (using the Java API) as shown on "Pro Oracle Spatial for Oracle Database 11 g" manual. Infact, this method makes reference to the COST field for $ ITALIA_NET_LINK to make this calculation.
  
  Now, I want to calculate the FASTER PATH between two nodes of the network. I have the links (in hours) travel time to make this calculation.
  
  My idea is to create a new field in ITALIA_NET_LINK$ named Cost2 containing the travel time from the links and then do the math by using the shorthestPath() method, referring to the Cost2 field to $ ITALIA_NET_LINK COST field instead.
  By default, I know that the shorthestPath() method returns the COST field for $ ITALIA_NET_LINK. Is possible to change this setting and do that this method refers to the Cost2 field?
  
  In the alternative, is another way for the calculation of the fastest way?
  I want to leave the creation of another network as last solution, because I will have other costs of field (Cost3, cos4t,...)

  Your approach is good. You will have two networks and you can read them in memory and analyze of shortest path. The shortestPath method is static for the class of NetworkManager. You can use the same method for both networks, once they are read into memory.

  In the future, if you upgrade to 11g, network data model provides a load on demand (LOD) API that loads only the scores of necessary network in memory during the analysis. This command removes the restriction of the memory of the 10g (in memory API you use) API. API of LOD can handle very large networks and offers more features analysis and modeling capabilities.

• Encoding of the string for HTTP Post

  I work with HTTP get and post at the moment, I have a server with a REST of apache based interface. Obtaining and displaying the data are no problem for 'normal' strings and characters, but I can't send characters like German "Umlaut" (Ä Ü Ö) or Japanese or Chinese characters. Coding for the Socket connection is UTF-8 and the command POST also contains a line of Content Type with character set UTF-8. The server expects UTF - 8, so I need my data in this encoding.

  When I send strings of InDesign now, I always get an error 'Bad Request' from my server. Looks like that the strings in ESTK is not UTF-8 - How can I create UTF-8 strings? I can't find methods of encoding conversion...

  OK, it took a while to find that - maybe someone else has the same problem and it is looking for a solution, I'll try to explain:

  I downloaded the source files for tomcat to know how tomcat with my data. I debugged deep into the code until I reached the CotoyeInputStream - here the reading of data from InDesign. And although I understood that the stream is read in the form of bytes and characters are counted. The Umlaute and other special characters are encoded as two bytes, but they are counted as a single character. For every Umlaut transferred the number of bytes is 1 higher than the number of characters.

  And at a time the flow is cut to the number of characters.

  So these are 13 bytes and 12 characters:

  The byte stream is cut to 12 - last byte is lost and it will happen in my application server:

  {'name': 'u'}

  Support of closing is absent and that throws the Exception.

  My simple solution/solution: I'm adding several spaces. Tomcat is always cut the last characters, but now there are only spaces to be cut. And with spaces, it worked...

• Too big for the standard of encoding DVD file size - please advise

  Hi - I turned a 6-hour training session that went well.  I turned it to 1280 x 720.  For the web version, it will be no problem, as I'll just export to F4V.

  But I'm having a hard time finding for the DVD export settings.  I know that the drive is limited to 4.6 GB.  I broke up the sequences PPro CS4 30 minutes or more (some are smaller or larger than others).

  I first exported to QT, but found only 30 minutes export way too big (8 GB) and still it brought down to 2 GB, but which will only allow me to put 60 minutes on a single DVD vs the almost 2 hours I want to get on 1 disk.

  AVI is even worse.

  I know that widescreen is a larger size, so I'm willing to make standard NTSC, but I can just know that export by establishing in PPro CS4 allows you to do this work.

  Can someone advise me on this?

  I was wondering, how can I do an 'Alt' box appear for the links, so I can enter an alternative text for my links without adding in the code every time?

• encoding for spaces in the url in an in the report sql statement

  1. what function or process use to code for empty spaces in a url link in a report?
  
  I need to link a report to a 2nd report and pass 5 variables. I think I need to do by integrating my own url in the sql code for the report, given that the standard State is defined for only 3 variables to pass.
  
  One of my variables as partner_firm has spaces, so how do I encode this in the query. Currently I have the following (simplified...).
