Re: How to recreate a deleted recovery partition?

With the help of a Toshiba Satellite M840 running Windows 7 64-bit.
I accidentally deleted the hidden restore partition. Is it possible to recreate since the recovery discs?

Yes, but when you use the recovery disk, partition structure will be created again and the OS will install again too so you will lose your old operating system configuration and all saved data.

If you created the recovery disc in the past, backup all your data on an external device and reinstall the OS using created recovery disks.

If you have any other questions you are welcome.

How can I access the recovery partition?

To access to the menu of, , press F2.

To enter the boot options menu, press F12.

Because the XPS 12 boots so fast, it is better to repeatedly press F2 or F12 after restarting the machine. During the startup process, texts for options should appear at the bottom right of the screen. If you enter Windows, you will need to restart again and press F2 or F12 until it works. However, I don't think there is an option in the BIOS to restore the computer to its factory condition. • deleted recovery partition - but not additional disk space?

    Hi all

I recently bought a HP pavilion x 2. My first job has been upgraded to Windows 8.1, which she leaves me until I have 20 GB of available. It is at this time, I realized just how much the memory of 64GB has been taken over - including a 15 GB recovery partition - odd.

So, next work was to remove that. I have created a backup according to the instructions and deleted the partition by using the HP Recovery Wizard. However, the total memory usage is not passed down. I'm now 18GB total free on a drive rather than 16 GB on a partition and 2 GB on another partition (raw numbers). This suggests that recovering the files themselve have not been deleted. I think I found the recovery of files in the appdata/temp folder (4 x 4 GB file which seems to live up to those on the recovery disc).

So my question is: is it safe to delete these files? Is there an 'official' way to make using the hp recovery tool, that I would like to delete all files recovery which are now obsolete because I have an external backup, not only the large memory those?

In addition, can provide advice on which programs are "secondary market" and therefore safe for me to uninstall I should consider their Needless to release me until a short memory. I realize how fickle computers can be when you try to get rid of things pre-installed.

Can't find this on the forums, but apologies if this has been asked before.

    Any help appreciated. Thank you.

    Hello

Given that you have created a backup copy according to the instructions. It should be ok to remove the partition recovery (already deleted anyway) so very sure to remove all the files KNOWN.

    Kind regards.

Before you begin this process, I will ask you for good want to back up your data because the data will be lost and cannot be recovered.

  • Satellite Pro L850-1UJ: how to create DVDs from recovery partition recovery

I recently bought a Satellite Pro L850-1UJ with Windows 8
    http://www.Toshiba.co.UK/laptops/Satellite-Pro/l850/Satellite-Pro-l850-1UJ/

I created a new partition (if I could use it as a data room)
i.e. C: windows system z AND my data

After that, I couldn't use the RECOVERY MEDIA CREATOR to create recovery DVDs
BUT the score still exists and I can see the inside of the windows files

It IS a way to extract the files from the recovery partition or any other idea how I could fix the partition scheme so the RECOVERY MEDIA CREATOR he might recognize

Thank you very much for your time...

After changing the structure of the partitions on the HARD drive, sometimes that recovery media creator Toshiba cannot find the files for recovery. These files are marked with special markers which, in your case, will be more found.

I m afraid is now too late to make or change anything. You're not the one with this problem. We always write here that the first step should be the creation of recovery media and later you can do what you want. You can even remove.

Now, you can just order new recovery disc to https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx

This can also be useful. Back in the day by pressing my computer showed a c drive and the partition of hard drive recovery is now visible 2 here. so maybe I need to start it by doing active or something? IM afraid to do that, without guidance, because then maybe I can't use the pc still who knows. So yes please help I just want to be able to put my system in the absence yet easy peasy lemon squuizy. THX

    > There must be a way to astablisch the link with the partition and the wizard again.
Unfortunately, this is not possible. It works with the factory only settings and if you delete or format something related to the recovery partition you won't access more.

I presume you didn't create recovery USB stick, right?
All you can do now is to order the recovery on https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx disc and install it using external ODD.

  • How can I cancel convert recovery Partition on logical drive (oops...) - HP G62-b32sa?

I needed to create a new partition, but to make as Easeus Partition Master Home Edition 9.00 (I like to use that this compared to the windows one..) said I needed to convert one of the 4 pre-made primary logical partitions. The following partitions have been made previously with my laptop, HP G62-b32SA, which were all primary:

    *: SYSTEM

    C:

    D: RECOVERY

    *: HP_TOOLS

I could not convert "Recovery D:" the logic, I went ahead and then could create a new partition. But now after reading many post on this Forum, I realized what a mistake that was. I found that that convert the logical recovery partition makes it useless... I said "Oops". Now, I wonder if I convert the partition recovery in primary school, I'll be able to use it again, or the harm was done? But then the other problem is that it will not convert the recovery to the primary Partition, saying "there are no free slots of MBR. Also, I feel like I have to remove my newly created partition to convert the primary recovery partition, but then how do I create a new partition without conversion of the force to the logic? The endless questions, I know. So now I ask, what is the best thing to do?

  • HP Envy 15 JI22TX I7-4700NQ: Delete recovery Partition

I have HP Envy I7 laptop computer (HP ENVY 15 I7 - 4700NQ 8 GB 1 TB Win 8.1), it has 1 to and recovery partition hard drive, all of a sudden it was shown that not allocated, then lost my all data and Partition Recovery also lost now I want to get the recovery Partition to install windows os and all my means of laptop drivers help me

@GayanW: sounds like the hard drive died suddenly on you - which occurs.

Once you can do is try to make a hard drive from the BIOS test.  The instructions are at the link: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00439024

After back here with the results of the tests.

IF this confirms that the hard drive is dead, then you must do the following:

    (1) replace the hard drive

    (2) order the HP recovery media

    (3) reinstall from the recovery media

  • How to restore after deleting a partition in unallocated space on my hard drive?

HI, I have recently removed a partition of my hard drive on windows Vista Home Basic. I removed it because I needed to find the hard drive space on the main user profile.

I found, after following the instructions on how to remove the partition that the partition has been deleted, but the space was not available for use on the main user.

I couldn't find any information on how to restore the space unallocated on the C: drive, so if there is someone out there who can help me, I'd appreciate the help! : o).

    Hi geddron1976,

Is "unallocated" space right next to the C: partition, that is to the right of the C: partition? If yes go to control panel and click the Administrative Tools icon. In the Administrative Tools window, click computer management. In the window of computer managgement, click on disk management and you will then see a view of your disks. Click right on your C: drive, and in the menu drop-down, select "Extend Volume".  A wizard will appear. In the 'select amount of space in MB' type the amount sdpace you want to extend the partition. If you want this then let the total in the State. Now, click Next, followed by the finished product. The c: drive should now be extended in your unallocated space.

If the C: partition is 'no' right next to the unallocated space, then you will not be able to extend the partition - not with the windows disk in any case management application. To do this you will need a third party application of partitioning, it is also a little more complex.

After that, I tried doing a recovery on DVD but I got a message "no recovery on the HARD drive" or something like that

How can I restore my recovery partition?
    :)

You cannot restore the recovery partition. It can be restored if you use the DVD of initial recovery for the installation of the OS. In this case, everything will be like before.

You created the recovery DVDs until you have deleted the recovery partition?
