Re: Satellite L550 - imported into PowerPoint Photos are too dark

Having problems inserting JPG photos of 'Photos' Power point - they become much too dark after the transfer. Gamma-ing the JPG or upping lightness does not work. I imported the same impages using other PC and there is no problem with images in PowerPoint. The photos are A1 and taken on SLR cameras the top of the page.

Someone had similar probs? I am using Windows 7 on my Satellite L550

Hello

Sometimes I have the PowerPoint user, but I've never had such a problem that pictures will get more dark after import in PowerPoint.

In your case, I recommend you to install the latest ServicePack for your Office suite. You can get it on the Microsoft Web site. Moreover, download also all patches for the version of PowerPoint you have.

If it doesn t work I would try reinstalling PowerPoint.

Finally and most importantly, I think you should ask Microsoft directly on this issue. I think that it s not Toshiba associated

Run us Windows 7 on a Dell computer and have the printer above, but impressions are too dark.  Have changed cartridges.  No difference.

If you have selected the correct printer profile for the paper and that you use the inks and prints are still too dark, you need color calibrate your screen. See http://windows.microsoft.com/is-IS/windows7/Calibrate-your-display.

Your problem is that the image of your screen is too bright.

  • Imported photos are very dark automatic stop - 1 and - 33 contrast and blacks + 15?

Each photograph imported into lightroom 4 comes with contrast-33-1 stop (under 0) and + 15 blacks.  Why is this? I use a 5 d mark II. This happens to my friends 5 d Mark II also. It makes it look like my 5 d Mk II is extremely evil underexpose. Some of my photographs are boosted by 2/3 of diaphragm and yet always come in lightroom underexposure 0.  Thanks in advance.

Probabilty that you apply a develop preset on import or are you the default camera have been set to something else than the default standard Adobe.

For the first time, you must verify that the develop settings drop-down menu "apply when importing" Panel of the import window. Ideally, it should show 'None '.

For the second, select one of the files badly exposed in the library grid then go to the develop module. In the module development, menu, choose "Set Default Setting" develop. Now click on the button 'Restore Default Settings Adobe'.

To correct the files that have already been imported, you should select them in the library grid view then press 'Reset All' in the quick develop Panel

When I print from the Lightroom print Module, impressions come out too dark with a significant loss of detail in the shadows.

In the print module, under Print Job, print setting, brightness level of contrast and of + 30 to + 15 (these settings work with my printer). Do a test print. If necessary, change the settings. Repeat the test. Once you have arrived at the right settings for your printer, you don't need to worry about setting the parameters for each image.

  • I have a new Epson R2000 and my impressions are too dark.  How can I get WYSIWYG?

I disabled the color management on the R2000 and 10 elements to optimize for prints.  I try to get WYSIWYG.  It is complicated by a new LG Flatron IPS235 monitor.  It is supposed to have the best calibrated factory of color and FRY Electronics said that it would be the color of the true range and complete.  I tried to change the mode sRGB, photo mode and user mode and prints are still too dark.  I'd appreciate any help I can get.  I'm a scrapbooking working on pictures of my world travel bucket list.  At the rate I'm going, I will kick the bucket before I get printed photos.   Thank you!

If there is a "16-bit" option in the Epson controls, try turning it off.

Apparently to allow this control breaks the mangement of the color codes in the Epson driver.

Let Photoshop control color is more accurate, but sometimes encounters bugs in code printer (such as the switch from 16-bit) driver.

Let the printer color control is easier, but much less precise and leaves your images subject to some secret sauce of the printer driver wants to apply to them (which can vary between images!).

  • Random colors are too dark. Questions on the color boxes

    Hey all,.

I'm trying to change the color of the plots on a graph of mixed signals remotely using the 'color box' which works very well. However, I'll also put squares of color to a color at random when the program starts first of all which is where my problem lies.

What I am doing, is that I have a random number generator pumping a number then I multiply the number by 10000000, just to give me some brighter than the dark colors, and then I wired to I'm defining the random color on the color box control. The problem is that even if it does not the decent colors some colors produced are quite dark and difficult to see on the graph of mixed signals.

I could make the graphic background a different color if I have to in order to see a majority of the colors coming out, but I would rather that have the colors come out on the side that is bright and colorful.

So I have two questions for you guys and girls:

    1) how the colors of the colorbox get determined using the unsigned int 32?

Such an example of why I'm confused, is that the number I had is 5726420 from the random number generator (+ multiplies), but under the control of colorbox RGB value is R:87 G:96 B:212. Why is this?

    2) there is any type of algorithm out there that someone did which can produce random values that will give the kind of colors neony? or whatever it is semi bright indeed?

    Any help is very appreciated!

Use 'RGB color' of three random U8 (o.. 255) values to generate a color. (double click on it to open the VI to understand the structure of the type of color data )

This is exactly the case: you have uploaded images to low resolution and now, if you increase the size of the image on the desktop, the images appear more pixilated.

Don t be worried: there is nothing wrong with your laptop ;)

  • Lightroom CC - D810 Nikon raw file are too dark after import

I see all my images appear underexposed by between half and up to 1 stop after importation. Curiously no noise in introduced by displaying the exhibition, but it makes no sense. The images look great on the camera LCD screen as I understand is based on JPEG files.

I advised me to picture the value-neutral and contrast-1, sharpness at + 6 while the camera histogram produces something close to what the histogram of the image raw might seemed to make (if there was one).

I've read elsewhere that restore the image control could have an impact on the imported raw images, is this the case? If so, is there anyway I can fix without of course just to erase the picture control settings?

The in camera settings should not have an impact on the RAW photos. There is therefore no point moving them if you are shooting RAW. (Exception: white balance)

In fact the d-lighting that has a huge influence on the raw data. When you activate it, the camera lowers ISO real he pulls the image (but the highest ISO reports that you set in the metadata file), and you end up having a picture that's actually underexposed by about one stop. Nikon software knows that the camera did this and automatically compensates for. Most of the brands of main cameras have a setting that is similar. Cannon called priority to highlight for example. Lightroom does not know what happened and presents an underexposed image regarding the format of JPEG in camera. However, this setting is off, the culprit is usually your auto is enabled (uncheck in the preferences-> Presets), a default camera is defined (often done by chance - clear all default values in the preferences-> Presets by clicking on "reset all settings default development), or a"Preset"is applied to importation. Check the import Panel and press "reset" on the previously imported images.

  • Imported jpeg images are too dark

I understand the reasoning behind the dark images when shooting in raw. Mine are imported as JPEG format shouldn't so I power of vew and change them as I see them in other software

The world explains that for raw files, but I can't find anything on JPEG. This has been the case since I bought lightroom a few months ago. But for a few days once the ambient light

True displays all the files in the library and to develop the mode as I see them in the thumbnails.

Setting up your monitor on this profile, then click on [set as default]

What is fix? If so, your calibrated profile is bad and you will need recaibrate.

  • S110: Flash pictures are too dark when the zoom

I just got a S110 to replace my S95.  I still know my Reiver way the new camera (despite its commonalities with the S95) and a whim that I noticed is that the moves by using the built-in flash are severely underexposed if I use any sort of zoom.  That is, they are exposed to good right to 24mm.  This was never a problem with the S95 (assuming that the subject was within reach of the flash at all focal lengths, of course).  Others have this problem?  Is there a setting that I'm on?  All my tests were in P mode (or program AE as the manual calls it).  Thanks for your help.

    Hello

The scope of the flash on your S110 is only 7.5 feet on full telephoto, who is less than 22' on wide angle range. About the S95, it lists about 22' without a distinction between scale and TV. It will be less focused on telephoto than your old S95 at least in part because the variable aperture on your new goal tightens down closer that he did on your old.

Both devices have a variable maximum aperture (lens opening). This means that the wide angle the lens opens wider it will open the telephoto. So less light can penetrate into the camera when you're zoomed in on something. It is measured by the number f /, and a lower f number means a larger opening. Your new camera is taken down tighter than your old a fact. S95 was f/4.9 max full telephoto. S110 is f/5.9 when the full telephoto. This difference in aperture is perhaps sufficient to reduce the scope of the flash on TV.

I wonder if the S95 MIT had a concentration of telephoto flash, which may be missing on the S110? I've seen mentioned in the specifications at all well.

  • My games are too dark on Window Vista, so I see nothing? Any HELP?

Can not see the game when I'm playing because it's too dark. How can I fix this. It happened on a playground.

If your screen is generally dark even outside the game, so your shine is low on your monitor, use your buttons on your screen to change the brightess. If this does not work so if you have an ATI or Nvidia card, run the ATI or Nvidia utility search parameters of color looking for brightness/contrast settings and change them to your liking, also in some games you can just raise the brightness via the game settings. Hope I helped

  • My pictures are too dark inside the workshop

I use a canon EOS Rebel t3i 600 with 18-55 mm. When I take pictures with prolights inside my studio using1/20 and f5.6 and ISO 200 in manual mode, it's too dark. I use two prolights. I can improve aesthetics with increase the ISO, but it decreases the sharpness and saturation of the picture. Is there something that controls exposure other than apature, shutter speed and ISO, this camera?

NO, you need more light, more thoughtful walls, ceiling etc.
