Re: Satellite L670-142 - overheating when I play a game
First I got keyboard problems with my Satellite L670-142, then it was fixed by an update of the BIOS (version 1.80).
But now, when I play a game, it overheats and stops. Before updating the BIOS, I have never had this problem. Is it possible to install the previous BIOS or anyone know another solution?
Brecht
Hey,.
If your laptop is overheating, you should try to clean using compressed air stream. This could blow the dust from the cooling fans that blocks the air. It only takes a few minutes to clean and it s not necessary to disassemble the laptop.
Just blow air gently and shortly into the holes of the case to blow off the dust.
Before that, shut down the laptop and remove the battery and the AC adapter.

Satellite A300/A300D blocks when I play the game
Hello from Croatia and I'm sorry if spelling has some errors
I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite A300/A300D
Here are its features:
Processor:
Turion (tm) X 2 AMD Dual - Core Mobile RM-74 (2 CPUs), ~ 2.2 GHz
Video card:
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 graphics card
Operating system:
Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit (6.1, Build 7600) (7600.win7_gdr.100226 - 1909)When I bought the laptop I had Windows Vista 32-bit, after I put Windows 7 32-bit
After a while the games have begun to block, even the call of duty 2, I play 5 minutes, and then after 5 minutes to block the departure of about 5-6 seconds and then is good and if all the minutes. I don't know what to do and ask for help
Thank you
It is not easy to say what the problem is here. I imagine that some background processes are active and the HARD disk must be busy then you will see that the game crashes or stutters.
It may be an antivirus application that scans the HARD drive or something similar.
Have you tried to unplug the laptop from the LAN/WLAN, close all the race but not need process/applications and switch to high performance power plan before you start your game? Please play with all this stuff. I mean that Win7 works better on these books like Vista so I think it must be a software related issue somehow.

Satellite A500 - 1HK Black Screen when I play a game
Hi guys!
I have the black screen problem when I play a game for 2 to 3 minutes. I gave the phone service and they said that there was dust in the fan.
They cleaned but the problem is still there...Help me please
Can you please write more than two sentences?
Have you noticed that by playing only?
Is it happens while playing a game only or you write about a general problem?Have you noticed the same behavior when you use your laptop for other activities?

Re: Satellite L655-146 - start screen shaking when I play any game
Hello
I bought this laptop about 5 months ago and since I'm doing that I had the same problem all the time. Tried a few things to do something, find some ideas on the internet but still nothing.
It has Windows 7 Home premium 64 bit, 3 GB of Ram, Intel Core i3 and card ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5145. When I play any game, even if it was a game of simple graphics, the game start screen shaking and in most cases it became freezing or which gives a black screen (ESC, ALT + F4, ALT + CTRL + delete) do not work with it. Yes, whenever I had to shut down my computer and start it again.
Sometimes I have this message "display driver driver AMD unresponsive and was recovered successfully.
Is this a hardware or software problem, and what can I do?
Thank you
Hossam.Hey,.
> driver AMD display driver stopped responding and has successfully recovered
It seems that something is wrong with the display driver have you already tried to reinstall the display driver? Display driver is important, especially when you play games.I advise to use the latest Toshiba display driver that you can download here:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jspBut before you install the new display driver first remove the old one. Then restart your computer and remove old registry keys. Therefore, you can use a registry cleaner like CCleaner. It of freeware and very nice tool. After this restart again and then install the latest display driver.

Why my computer keeps stopping when I play facebook game
My computer uses the Ultimate version, and recently he maintains close itself when I play facebook games. No matter if I use Firefox or Google Chrome, it will stop after 10 minutes or so in the games. And I have to wait a few minutes before I can turn the computer back on. Please can someone help me with this problem. The computer seems to work on other pages, well, only facebook games give me the problem.
Thank you very much.
Serena
Sounds like a hardware problem, could be one of the following:
(1) if it is a new PC, you must call/contact manufacturing because it should covered by a service contract.
(2) if it is a PC that you upgraded to Windows 7, then you should download device drivers for Windows 7 on your PC manufacturer's support web site. Also equally important to the driver for your graphics card.
ATI: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx
NVIDIA: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index5.aspx?lang=en-us
(3) if its an overheating problem, remove side trim and blow out the dust bunnies using a can of compressed air. This includes the heatsink and fan, power (evacuate nozzle with compressed air from the inside outwards) and dust from the motherboard and the case. Ensure that the card fan also. Note: Take the PC outside when you do!
Never be afraid to ask. This forum has some of the best people in the world to help.

Down computer when I play older games
Driver ATI Radeon HD 5800 is blocked (I tried updates research said its date too) when I play older games like assassin creed, star wars jedi knight jedi academy. Just got this computer last month. I tried the Troubleshooting compatibility so many different times and always the older games I play the crash. pls help
The best thing I can say that each of you is to wait for the best drivers for your video card, because your problems are the result of video card drivers. The latest drivers I tried to fixed ATI actually a graphic error I had with one of my games on Windows 7. I always use Vista ultimate 64 as my main OS because I lose some features I love when you go to Win 7. But other that some problems of video card drivers, I've not really had no problems with Windows 7. I have a simple philosophy: just assume everyone is a piece of c.r.a.p. and then be pleasantly surprised if you find someone who is not.

The heat of my computer a lot and it suddenly stops when Im playing certain games.
My computer get too hot and it suddenly stops when Im playing certain games. Can you give me any advice to solve this problem. (I would like to format the pc and put it as the 1st time using, but I accept more tips) I have a cooler, but I think I'll buy a new one.
Original title: heat of the computer
EPPT
With the computer turned off and not plugged in you should carefully blow out the fan and radiator. Laptops are not suitable for playing games in the first place. If the cooling block does not help and the computer is more than a year, you may need to reapply the thermal CPU paste or frankly just not playing games with her.

Satellite Pro M70 overheating when playing games or watching DVDs
Hello world
my laptop (Satellite Pro M70) overheating regularly, especially when playing games or watching DVDs.
Initially the cooling gets really hard, then the laptop would become hot, and shortly after that it stops completely. I ran it about 50% cpu power (DVD mode) for some time, which helps a little, but makes it much slower games.I do not know whence this problem, you have any ideas what I could do?
Don't know if it's important, my graphics chip is the ATI Mobility Radeon X 700.
Thanks in advance
> My laptop (Satellite Pro M70) is overheating regularly himself, especially when playing games or watching DVDs.
Still is it playing games and watching DVD movies to emphasize material for portable computers.
Devices such as the CPU and GPU run with maximum efficiency and produce a lot of heat.
This could lead to problems of overheating, especially if the cooling modules n t work properly.> I do not know whence this problem; you have any ideas what I could do?
I think that the cooling modules don't cool the laptop properly because fans could not run with maximum efficiency because of the dust and debris. The same thing happened to me. I just cleaned the vents using a jet of compressed air. This jet of compressed air can be ordered from different computer resellers and it s a professional tool to perform this cleanup.
I think you should test this.
Good luck
