I n t have A500D before me so that I can t test it, but usually Windows 7 drivers also work on Vista 64 bit, because they are very similar. In your case, I would like to try the 64 bit Windows 7 driver.

  I don't know what hardware configuration has your laptop but list drivers, tools and utilities, you will find in the document Instructions of facilities.

  The second one (http://support.toshiba-tro.de/tedd-files2/0/install-20070719124704.zip) is created for the portable PSPA3 model. Please check it out.

  Download list of stuff and install in this order of facilities, everything should be OK.

  As I've worked on XP pro or Vista 64-bit on my PC now my question:

  Can I install Vista64 on this book?
  Do I need a special BIOS for the 64 bit - OS?
  The Toshiba download page are no drivers or BIOS for Vista64 corresponding to my model number.

  I tried to update my recent BIOS of 2.6 to 2.8 (included P300D-series) but without success, error message was 'no corresponding version of BIOS', I tried upgrading on windows.

  All useful tips about the BIOS and Vista64-install (and whether I should get the drivers from the manufacturer sites) are appreciated.
