Reactive project

Hello

I am new to Adobe Captivate and I created a sensitive project but it isn't look great with multiple devices.

Is it possible for the project to auto resizing across devices instead of placing the conditions of calibration for each? As phone screens, computer screens and iPads may vary in size, I would like that my project to cover the entire screen on any device.

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you.

What you are looking for is the current 'Holy Grail' of all the developers of learning.

But if you have the intention of building e-learning for the mobile world you'll have to get used to compromise.

Currently, Captivate gives you a choice of 5 different viewport sizes.  You need to do some research to find out what specific sizes are the closest the percentage the higher people in your audience target.  Until you have this information in hand, you are basically flying blind when you configure for optimal display window sizes.

  • Reactive projects displayed the incorrect content due to the orientation of the tablet.

In a sensitive project, how Captivate to determine which view should display on the type of device? For example, should I use pixels in width or device type?

We had problems of design for tablets because when the Tablet is held in a landscape position, the main display is shown. When the device is held in portrait position, the Tablet is displayed. Because some tablets are higher resolution than desktop computers, how do we ensure that the view of the Tablet is displayed regardless of the orientation of the Tablet?

This is by design: landscape on tablets show see first breakpoint, Portrait shows the tablet display.

It is not the resolution of the Tablet, but the browser which is important. You can find them on viewportsizes.com. You will see that, although many smartphones have very high resolution, browser resolution is very low.

  • Publish the sensitive project as a swf file

Anyone know if it is possible to publish a swf file (created in Captivate 8) reactive project?

We found that when published in html5, it is not compatible with all browsers. We want to offer a flash and html5 version but I can't find this option to publish.

    Hello

I think you will discover the path you need to take is carefully create a new project that's not reactive, then copy and paste the sensitive to the inadmissible project assets. Then, you create a SWF from that.

Note that if you publish a project inadmissible that you choose to publish in the form of people both SWF and HTML5 and point to the page htm multiscreen. This page should detect the browser and direct people to the SWF version if they are able to use the SWF and for the HTML5 version if they are not capable.

  • Rolling options is not available

    rollover options.pngHello

Does anyone know why the reversal of the objects are not available?

I use a licensed version of Captivate 9.

    See screenshot.

The same applies to the Animations of text in the text tab.

    You develop a sensitive project.

Reversals have no use in the touchscreen devices.

Text animations are actually SWF widgets and are therefore not taken into HTML5 output load.  Reactive projects can be published to HTML5 so they out too.

  • Why can't I insert swf files in captivate 9

    Hi guys

Appreciate any help - can someone give me

All the advice says that everything I do to insert swf animations is to go to insert - animation and then I can add swf files, but the only option I gave is GIF files.  This changed in captivate 9 or I do something wrong?

Reactive projects may be published only in HTML format. No mobile device not playing Flash, which is also valid for the inserted sovereign funds.

  • What do these preferences?

    Hi all

What do the following Adobe Captivate 9 preferences?

    • Generate project backup (done automatically go back to my Adobe library)? If so, is it viable with the trial version?
    • Enable Custom spaces of work/Panel disconnect (I don't know what it is for).

    Thank you for your help.

Backup should be checked by default, but it's not. It will create a backup file in the same file as specified in the default location, ' publish on ' field. They must be on your system.

A backup file gets a further extension: for the aaa.cptx file, the backup file will be aaa.cptx.bak. The library is something totally different, it is part of the project and you will see all assets here.

Activate custom workspaces will pass you from the newbie to the so-called UI UI Expert. This interface is more similar to that used in most Adobe applications (and also in Captivate up to version 7). You are able to move panels, to make floating or her anchor them in other locations, to save and reuse workspaces that keep at the disposal of the panels. In the beginners of the user interface, you have only the classic workspace and Captivate deciding for you what Panel should be open, you have no control over them.

I work spaces typical for Quizzing, for the presentation, for the design for reactive projects etc... I never use the classic workspace but who have a general title I used all as panels available: film and States of objects to the left docking station, Master Slide, chronology, Notes down docking station, properties, properties of timings, slide library and & slips into the good docking station. The advanced Actions panel is floating and reduced to its title bar.

  • Failure of advanced/shared navigation of the actions to run when assigned by leaving. Why?

After numerous tests, it seems that the bottom line is as described in topic - too far go that responsive projects. The question is not present for the empty projects I can say. I am running 8.0.1.242 on Windows 8 Captivate.

Maybe I can work around this problem by writing in a JS event listener, but I see no other way to have trigger actions conditional navigation to specific times instead of via the interaction of the user - that is a user clicks on one of the 2 icons on slide 1 to view more details, taking to the slide where this detail is covered , after which they returned to slide 1, UNLESS they saw all the slides in detail, in which case they are sent to the end/next section slide.

Is this a known bug? Is it still a bug? You can reproduce it? See nature projects reactive with advanced navigation actions attributed to work out very well for you? Any information would be appreciated, I would go to the bottom of this. I'd be happy to post more details if this case works for you - it looks like a bug here if so I prefer not to bother in the first place.

    Thank you!

    Hi Lieve,

Thank you for your response. I saw your article mention - you have an great Google visibility when it comes to Captivate. It's a shame that you are one of the only good resources that - and Rod of course (I know you're out there too). It seems rather odd to me that always Captivate gets out with out-of-the-box features that do not work, and support is pretty limited. I can usually find a way around them, but it always adds a lot of time to my projects of debugging to find that the problem is of Captivate and not mine... not ideal. Makes me wonder if Adobe requires releases annual no matter where is their Cp dev team.

In this case, the same on the output function that failed in my responsive project worked when assigned in the same way in a project of standard and white - at least in this one case alone is not a general question "exit does not work as I want to." I'm not trying to run everything must happen ON the slide came out, I just need to run - at some point. I determined that all sorts of actions work in my project for leaving: I can increment variable, show and hide objects, etc., etc. - the only thing falling down (and it will fail 100% of the time for me in reactive projects) use navigation in the context of shared or advanced actions, if go to slide and other slides at base of navigation , or GotoFrameAndResume or another framework based "micronavigation" (thank you for giving me the initial end on this point, moreover - it has served me well).

Unfortunately, I could not add the action for my enter on to the slide later, as in my case, I need to my function leaving kicker users back to the beginning or to the slide at the end of the project, so if to sign they would ever get see the content of the slide. I end up doing something similar: adding brief slides 'redirect' between my content slides, that have the same feature set to enter. Looks like a stupid work-around for me, but my JS solutions were not well behave and I got tired of debugging.

If you want to, I would be grateful if you could check if it seems like a bug you as well and maybe even if it persists in Captivate 9 (I recall that have this you). I still get nagging that I'm something I just straight up found no clearing of doubts, although this one seems, as it has nothing to do with me. Thanks again.

  • Why the choice of 'Rolling' isn't grey in the OBJECTS tab?

I guess I'm just missing just plain obvious, as I just installed Captivate.

But I for the life of me do not understand why the above is gray.

    Any guidance would be appreciated.

I think I can answer my own question: namely, it seems, rolling options are not available for reactive projects

  • How to draw a line in Captivate 8?

I must be missing something obvious, but there is no option of the straight line in the menu forms in Captivate 8 as it was in version 7. and I can't find any other way to draw a line of in Captivate.  I spent some time looking for the forum and the web but only found references using the forms menu in earlier versions.  What Miss me?

Some features are missing for reactive projects: http://helpx.adobe.com/captivate/kb/top-issues-captivate-8.html

Ray, free polygon and free forms are on the list. But for normal projects is available. Problem is that not all the form are visible under the large button shapes, you must choose one, then go to the properties panel to see more in this category. Space-saving, I agree.

  • Text animation is not available for Mac on CP8?

    Hello

Have had no luck importing animation using the Insert > Animation option. Even if they are .swf files in the Gallery, they cannot be imported.

In addition, as you can see form screenshot below, the text animation option is shaded on? No go for a Mac? Thank you.

    Screen Shot 2014-06-13 at 8.51.21 pm.png

As Anthony, responsive projects are out of HTML5, which means that you cannot use a SWF inside. Everything is grayed out for reactive projects is not available for them: all the objects that are indicated by the tracker, Ray, free polygon and custom shape, D & D HTML form. This has nothing to do with being on Mac/Win, why Mac users feel more often discriminated I don't quite understand. Take a look at the help documentation, where you can find everything that is not supported (yet) for projects of a reactive nature. If you want an animation, you can use an effect (those who are supported, they are listed in the effects Panel) or create an animation HMTL/Edge and insert.

  • Reactive on first Captivate projects

    Hello

I use Adobe captivate 9 to create an e-leaning course, I build a sensitive project... Here is a quick description of my experience with Adobe Captivate 9 - sensitive project and the limitations and problems that I met with Captivate premium when I created my course:

I started to test the project after downloading it premium Captivate and I tried to see the course using my laptop and using mobile devices to see the sensitive design features and check that the learner will experience problems if he will use a tablet or a smartphone like the type of project is sensitive.

For the desktop version, everything seems good and the size of the slide player is 100% size of slide in the project (no need to scroll) but when I started to use several mobile devices I noticed that the main site of captivate is not proactive and the need for the user to zoom-in for the particular section.

This is the biggest problem that I met on Captivate premium for my published courses, she was linked to thePlayer slide :

The content of the slide is sensitive as I designed it but as see you in the mobile screen shot drag the player is too small and we need to scroll to see the content of the slide despite this space we have in the top - down of the slide_view would display the total size of the slide in project of course, this is due to the Captivate Premium Web site that is not a responsive design and not to deal with the case of the player on mobile devices!

Hope that my explanations and my experience is clear and if there are recommendations and support for the projects of nature reactive on Captivate premium?  because the experience that I had seen the rate published using mobile devices is terrible.

    Thank you

  • Tumble button in project action Captivate 8 reactive

    Hello

I'm new to Captivate 8. I want to set up a tumbling action to change the text in a text box. So, when they roll each button, they can see the action that the button will perform. I created two image buttons and activated rollover; but I am unable to tell how to set the text variable to the value of the rolled button. I am unable to find action "stand" in the script of the advanced actions. In researching this issue, I see various statements indicating that this cannot be accomplished, but the help text Adobe escapes to this fact it is possible. I can't create a slidelet, because this option is shaded on.

    Thank you

    Peter

Elements of bearings (captions, images, slidelets) are not supported for HTML5 output, of course that means that they are not supported for reactive nature projects. It is simply not possible.
