Read check box state

Hi there: -.

"I'm sorry this post a simple question, but I can find the answer in the guide online Dreamweaver, and I lost a lot of time trying to find the answer."
I want to read the enabled checkbox and then given control state if true is returned to call the function 'A' or if false is returned call function 'B '.
Based on what I found in the reference that I created a variable to capture the State of the checkbox as follows:

function checkboxState()
{
checkState var = document.all.nameOfCheckbox.checked;
If (checkState is true)
{
statements
}
on the other
If (checkState is false)
{
statements
}

}

The box is configured as follows:
< name of entry = "nameOfCheckbox" type = "checkbox" onClick = "checkboxState ()" >

This does not work and I do not know why. I was wondering if I set the box in a particular way, for example by using the value attribute or something, but the reference does not indicate this.

If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it.
Thank you!

Hi Jules,.
Thanks for the tip. It worked. I've seen people set up an if statement without any argument 'if (checkStatus)' but I understand very well the mechanics of what he does. (In other words, how a true or false value is passed to the variable) But I learned THAT COBOL code originally then maybe I'm too old fashioned.
Thank you
Linda

  • Using image resources instead of CSS for JavaFx check box state

    Anyone used a series of resources instead of CSS png for graphics image in the box of JavaFX? I have a tree of the box check according to the content of the tree where I to color some boxes.

    Thanks in advance...

    You can use - fx-background-image for the style of the 'brand' that appears when the box is checked. You can also style the "box" which is a part the "brand."
    The box itself is specified in caspian.css as a form, so if you don't want the checkbox, set to null.

    .check-box > .box > .mark {
        -fx-shape: null;
    }

    .check-box:selected > .box > .mark {
        -fx-background-image: url("images/duke.png");
    }

    You can use several classes of style to the style of the box according to the content of the tree. You probably want to use a cell factory to set the style class on the box (see TreeView #setCellFactory).

    .check-box.red > .box {
        -fx-color: red;
    }

  • Read only check box is clickable on Mac computer

    Hello everyone!, I have a PDF file with certain text fields, check boxes and drop-down lists and created a button that, when clicked, it makes all the fields 'readonly = true '. This works perfectly for all the fields in a Windows computer, but when I open exactly the same document on a Mac computer, the check boxes and drop-down lists can be changed (meaning of the "readonly = true" does work on Mac),

    Y at - it a solution for this?, or is the wrong code? (code below)

    for(var i=0;i<this.numFields;i++)
    {
        var cNm = this.getNthFieldName(i);
        this.getField(cNm).readonly = true;
    }

    Waiting for your reply and thanks in advance.

    Kind regards

    Mario.

    If you open the file using Adobe Acrobat or Reader on a Mac, it should work fine. If you open it in another application (especially Apple Preview), bets are off.

  • value of the check box in the insert statement

    I'm hand-coding an insert from the insert record sb construction will do for this application. The values of several form elements are inserted into the fields in the table. The problem that occur is a checkbox value in the form. If the box is checked, all is well and the value is 'True' inserted in the appropriate database field. However, if the checkbox is not checked I get syntax error message. The reason being that, while are passed on to the fields with null null, the checkbox is not transmitted at all. This is evident when changing the method of the form to 'Get' for testing purposes. There is no reference to this field check box in the query string.

    My assumption is that this would require an If statement changing the value of the 'False' check box when the box is blocked. How I would go to this topic. With my knowledge limited to the ASP, I wrote the following, but it doesn't seem to work:

    < input name = "emailprob_mor" type = "checkbox" id = "emailprob_mor" value = "< % If Not (IsNull (Request.Form ("emailprob_cus")) then Response.Write"True") Else Response.Write ("False") End If % >" >

    When you use the boxes, it is better to separate your Request.Form statement and your insert statement:

    cbVal = '0 '.
    If (Request.Form ("emailprob_mor") <> "") then cbVal = Request.Form ("emailprob_mor")

    Then in your SQL statement:

    "& cbVal &"..."

    For your real HTML:

    "" ) then response.write(" checked='checked' ") %>>

    It is true that if the user does not check the box, then it appears as if there is no when it is submitted, that is the reason why he must be given a default value when the record is inserted.

  • Can a checkbox State (true/false) another State (different) check box in the control?

    Hello

    I am trying to find the answer in the internet and here in the support forums, but so far without success.

    So, I was wondering is it possible to make a CheckBox control (checked/unchecked) other (different) box in the same table.

    Lets say I have a list of items to take on the assignment in the field (in separate lines) in my checklist. Some of these items will be check together so that both can work as one.

    For example - gas generator and fuel tank:

    You can check the box next to "gas tank" if you need to take only,

    But if you check 'gas generator' numbers should automatically check the "fuel tank" so I remember to take it as well to the generator.

    So, please help me with the formula if there is possibility to do so in the last app (OSX) number. Thank you.

    Hi Shkacas,

    Perhaps you might consider to penetrate your activities field trip.

    The elements required for each activity are in another table. You can 'hide' this table by moving (copy / paste) to another sheet. The formulas will adjust automatically.

    Formula in the Input Table C2 (and fill down)

    = IF (B2, CONCATENATE (Required::B2 elements ",", Required::C2, ",", elements Required::D2, ",", elements Required::E2),' ')

    Ignore the additional decimals in the result. These are refills for empty cells in the table of the required elements.

    Another example where insГЁrent the check boxes unchecked "" (NULL, empty)

    Kind regards

  • Evaluator check boxes on several pages

    I am working on a form that is used to monitor progress towards the realization of the tasks for the qualifications for a specific task.  It has been used for years as a normal pen and paper version, but I take to complete totally electronically with digital signatures.

    I use Adobe Acrobat Pro XI and converted at the origin of a form of MS Word and then delete the extra fields, added those who was required to do this is so they can simply check the items on the pages of the evaluator.

    I created a series of check boxes on each of the three pages of evaluator, as most people cannot get all accomplished under an evaluator.  The boxes already have a JavaScript using an if/else statement that complements the tasks sign compromise with information from the evaluator, but I want to lock the boxes on the second and third evaluator when the first check and then digitally signs the first record of the evaluator.  I tried to use the show/hide feature, by hiding the checkbox on the 2nd and 3rd page (and 3rd page of 2), but when I test as an evaluator who made a mistake and then uncheck the box on the 1st assessor record, the 2nd and 3rd pages check boxes are still hidden.  I then tried to add readonly status in the If/Else JS, but I get a syntax error in the changing Else part rear single reading to false.

    So, how can I use what is already built with the show/hide, but when they uncheck, it cancels the "hide" or I need help, correction of the syntax in the following script.

    If (event.target.value! = "Off") this.getField("Check_Box1-1").readonly = true, this.getField("Check_Box1").readonly = true

    else this.getField("Check_Box1-1").readonly = false this.getField("Check_Box1").readonly = false;

    I'm not a programmer now, but not the Fortran and COBOL back in the 1980s, then to understand the basics, but do not understand my syntax error in the statement.

    «"«You are almost there...»»» A comma is not a valid JS line end character. A semicolon is. And please make sure that you use only standard double - quote, not one of those 'fantasy', for your code to work. It might be a good idea to read a tutorial on the core JS syntax, like this: http://www.w3schools.com/js/default.asp

    Here is a corrected version of your code:

    if (event.target.value!="Off") {
        this.getField("Check Box1-1").readonly = true;
        this.getField("Check Box1").readonly = true;
    } else {
        this.getField("Check Box1-1").readonly = false;
        this.getField("Check Box1").readonly = false;
    }

  • Cannot save box-States in classic report

    Hello

    I googled this problem, but I have not found a solution.

    I have a classic report with 16 box-columns. It is a part of the select statement:

    Select

    APEX_ITEM. Text(1,PF.ID) id,

    f.Frage,

    APEX_ITEM. CheckBox(2,PF.ja,,PF.ID) ja,

    APEX_ITEM. CheckBox(3,PF.) Nein, NULL, PF.ID) nein.

    APEX_ITEM. Neiu CheckBox(4,PF.neiu,,PFID),

    [...]

    of prueffragen pf,.

    fragenkatalog f

    where pf.frage = f.id

    If the value of the column for a field of response (called here "ja", "nein", "neiu") is the value of the ID column, the box is checked. I thought: "Bravo!"

    But save the values for the works dosent tables. It is a part of the procedure to save the values for the field of answer 'ja ':

    BECAUSE me in 1.APEX_APPLICATION. G_F02. COUNTING LOOP

    UPDATE prueffragen

    JA = APEX_APPLICATION SET. G_F02 (i)

    WHERE id = to_number (APEX_APPLICATION. G_F02 (i));

    commit;

    END LOOP;

    It seems that I can't read the value of the new checkbox checked. Perhaps because the page is not submitted. As an example, that I have checked 2 ckecboxes and I checked off one more and try to save it, I see that the array has 3 entries (only the checked boxes are in the table), but the value of the new checkbox enabled is 0 and did not retain the primary key field value.

    What can I do?

    Kind regards

    Mark

    Hello

    OK, sorry =)

    You have defined wrongly APEX_ITEM. P_value and p_checked_values in the query parameters BOX.

    Please check your example now

  • Y at - it anyway to select absolute GMT on windows server so that select or deselect the Advanced check box makes no difference.

    Hello

    I have a server with the location of the United States. It is used in all geographical areas. So, I need to be chosen as absolute GMT time zone.  I chose the time zone GMT, London. When I select the check box for daylight saving time gets changed as the summer time is valid for the United Kingdom.

  • How can I disable the "hand-with-a-pen-icon" in the seizure, drop-down menus and check boxes boxes in IE 10?

    How can I turn off the hand-with-a-pen-icon that appear in the entries of the form (for example, text boxes, drop-down menus and check boxes) in IE 10? I'm running updated Windows 7, 64-bit desktop with without a touchscreen. I have the Wacom tablet with a pen, but I disabled the handwriting feature in Windows.

    And also how to disable query points that appear in the scroll bars in the browser? Sometimes the mark points will blink, then this hand-with-a-pen-icon appears between. It does not appear in other browsers or programs and its was not in IE 9.

    -It is very annoying, especially when dealing with checkboxes and drop-down menus, I know never it is checked or not. --

    I have not found all the settings for this in IE 10 settings or control panel.

    Same problem here.
    I have w7 x 64 office services and tablet and writing are disabled.
    However, I see the shit 'hand with a pencil icon' in all the check boxes and drop down menus.
    It is not even recognizable on small boxes and is a total bore.
    I run my desktop PC with w7 x 64 for over a year and the symbol appeared after I've upgraded to IE10.
    I couldn't find an appropriate solution in the links provided in this thread, and I hope that it will be a good solution soon.
    To give an idea, I downloaded 2 screenshots on my skydrive
    https://SkyDrive.live.com/?CID=1C240C8A7B1412A2&ID=1C240C8A7B1412A2! 110 #cid = 1C240C8A7B1412A2 & id = 1C240C8A7B1412A2. 110

    Meanwhile, I think that I found the real cause.
    I had turned off the segue UI fonts during the day even when I updated to IE10.
    Strange as appears only in IE10 I assumed it it was due to the update.
    As explained in this thread that it is obviously a police problem well.
    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/IE/Forum/IE10-Windows_7/IE10-shows-square-blocks-on-every-dropdown-menu/068079a1-47AB-496a-8358-4391b564aaee
    I still have not solved not satisfactory, but at least I now know the cause.

    IT FIXED:
    to do my reading sharper, I had turned off cleartype according to http://www.davidjnice.com/articles/windows7_fonts.html
    I'm now setting replace to

    "Segoe UI Symbol (TrueType)"="seguisym.ttf" and voila, the handwriting symbol in IE10 is gone again.

  • Table multi-selection disabled the check boxes in ADF 10 g

    I think I met an obstacle when you work with a multi-selection table in 10 ADF.

    The selection itself works very well. However, my problem is to try to disable some of these boxes several selections. These boxes are disabled using the expression language. Once disabled, I can always choose these rows in the table using the button 'Select all' created by multiple selection facet. On the page sent, the disabled lines are not recognized as being selected, which is good. However, they always seem to be selected on the front-end server, which would be confusing for users.

    <af:table emptyText="No roles were found"
              binding="#{backing_userRoles.tableRoles}"
              id="tableRoles"
              value="#{backing_userRoles.userRoleList}"
              var="userRole">
                            <f:facet name="actions">
                              <af:commandButton text="Copy Roles"
                                                binding="#{backing_userRoles.cmdCopy}"
                                                id="cmdCopy"
                                                action="#{backing_userRoles.cmdCopy_action}"/>
                            </f:facet>
                            <f:facet name="selection">
                              <af:tableSelectMany text="Select items and ..."
                                                  binding="#{backing_userRoles.tableSelectMany1}"
                                                  id="tableSelectMany1"
                                                  rendered="#{backing_userRoles.managerFlag}"
                                                  disabled="#{userRole.role.autoGrantedFlag eq 'Y'}"/>
                            </f:facet>

    multiselecttable.PNG

    So as you can see, the disabled check box has been selected even when disabled. Any ideas on how to change this behavior? Or maybe just get rid of the default generated 'select all ' | 'Select none' orders?

    Thank you

    Cody

    Or, remove selection facet and make sure you have a selection logic - that is to say, some transient Boolean attribute of VO enabled/disabled state, and you have Select All/Select none

  • If else check box in the table does not properly

    I'm new to this forum and hope someone can help me with that.

    I created a dynamic array and I have 2 types of boxes.

    One is a check box for the individual lines that fills a value in a cell. Otherwise, it will be zero.

    Another is a master checkbox that activates the check all lines and value box

    Problem statement:

    When I click on the master check box, every individual is selected. However, the value of the cell is incorrect. Value of all the rows is based on the value of the first row.

    Here is my code:

    Master Checkbox (using the formcal in click):

    If (CheckBoxAll == "1") then

    Table.Row1 [*]. CheckBox1 = "1";

    Table.Row1 [*]. Cell4 = table.row1 [*]. Cell2;

    on the other

    Table.Row1 [*]. CheckBox1 = '0 '.

    Table.Row1 [*]. Cell4 = 0;

    endif

    Check box for the individual line (using the formcal in click):

    If (CheckBox1 == "1") then

    Cell4 = Cell2

    on the other

    Cell4 = 0

    endif

    Otherwise, I tried to turn the master value of the box fill off & put a validation in each line instead. This time it works! but it kept prompting a message for each rows whenever I unchecked the box: "the value of Checkbox1 is not valid.

    Here is my code:

    Master Checkbox (using the formcal in click):

    If (CheckBoxAll == "1") then

    Table.Row1 [*]. CheckBox1 = "1";

    on the other

    Table.Row1 [*]. CheckBox1 = '0 '.

    endif

    Check box for the individual line (using the formcal to validate the event):

    If (CheckBox1 == "1") then

    Cell4 = Cell2

    on the other

    Cell4 = 0

    endif

    Appreciate all the help that I am at a loss as to why the tis error occurs and how to solve it.

    Thank you!

    Hello world

    I managed to find a solution to my problem. I write for the benefit of any1 facing the similar problem.

    I changed formcal to Javascript.

    Master box (Click event):

    vRows var = Table._Row1.count;

    for (var i = 0; i)

    {

    If (this.) RawValue is "1")

    {

    xfa.resolveNode ("Table.Row1 [" + i + "]"). CheckBox1.rawValue = "1";

    xfa.resolveNode ("Table.Row1 [" + i + "]"). Cell4.RawValue = xfa.resolveNode ("Table.Row1 [" + i + "]"). Cell2.RawValue;

    }

    on the other

    {

    xfa.resolveNode ("Table.Row1 [" + i + "]"). CheckBox1.rawValue = "0";

    xfa.resolveNode ("Table.Row1 [" + i + "]"). Cell4.RawValue = 0;

    }

    }

    Another point to note, it only works for the table of data binding. If the row in the table has been created original, somehow the Table._Row1.count does not work. It detects that the value = 1.

    Thanks to all who tried to help me!

  • How can I activate a check box if the data have been entered in a different text field?

    Hello. I would use four check boxes on a form, each of which will enable (check) if the data have been entered in four text fields of form on a different page in the same form.

    Example:

    Page 1 will have a question like... How many apples did you eat last month? "Text1" = 3

    So, given that the user has responded to 3 in the field 'text1', "checkbox1" must now be verified on page 2.

    ... and so on for the other three.

    Note: The answers to the questions will be like a number. If the user enters 0 (zero), then I don't want the boxes to activate it. So, any greater than zero response will check the checkbox.

    Follow-up to question...

    Is it possible for a text field quite different form whether visible or not visible (default read-only text) based on the status of each check box mentioned above?

    Example:

    "checkbox1" will have a field of text next to it named "date1" with a date hidden. If "checkbox1" is checked (because of the above), then the date will be visible.

    ... and so on for the other three.

    Thank you very much!

    -You can use something like this as the custom of your text field validation script:

    if (event.value=="3") this.getField("checkbox1").checkThisBox(0, true);

    -Yes, but you shouldn't make it dependent on the box to check, but integrate it in the script above, like this:

    if (event.value=="3") {
        this.getField("checkbox1").checkThisBox(0, true);
        this.getField("date1").display = display.visible;
    } else {
        this.getField("date1").display = display.hidden;
    }

    If you also want to uncheck the checkbox where the value of the text field is not 3 then double online #2 but with the false instead of true value in the else block.

  • Automatically select the correct check box based on choices made in the previous section?

    With the help of LiveCycle to create a form that contains a table. This table has 3 columns with 15 boxes in each column.

    Here are these 15 rows 3 more boxes that have calculated values. In each row of the table one of the checkboxes can be active at a time.

    Based on the majority of choices in a column of some, the calculated corresponding checkbox must be verified. (If most of the choices are made in column 1, then the 1st calculated box must be marked, etc...)

    The sentence that I am writing the JavaScript code that selects the checkbox correctly calculated. Currently, I'm just trying to understand it with only 3 first lines and I can reproduce the template after.

    Table e.g.: ("BOLD" is calculated)

    CheckBox20CheckBox35CheckBox50
    CheckBox21CheckBox36CheckBox51
    CheckBox22CheckBox37CheckBox52
    [CheckBox66][CheckBox67]

    [CheckBox68]

    Here's the code I came up with that day, but it does not just anyone, although when I used it it worked just to 2 columns. (just added the part about the third column in the instructions 'or')

    (In the script for the calculation of box 66)

    //larger values than other columns
    if ((Row1.CheckBox20.rawValue == "") + (Row2.CheckBox21.rawValue == "") + (Row3.CheckBox22.rawValue == "") > (Row1.CheckBox35.rawValue == "") + (Row2.CheckBox36.rawValue == "") + (Row3.CheckBox37.rawValue == "") || (Row1.CheckBox50.rawValue == "") + (Row2.CheckBox51.rawValue == "") + (Row3.CheckBox52.rawValue == ""))
     {this.rawValue = "0";}

    //smaller values than other columns
    if ((Row1.CheckBox35.rawValue == "") + (Row2.CheckBox36.rawValue == "") + (Row3.CheckBox37.rawValue == "") || (Row1.CheckBox50.rawValue == "") + (Row2.CheckBox51.rawValue == "") + (Row3.CheckBox52.rawValue == "") > (Row1.CheckBox20.rawValue == "") + (Row2.CheckBox21.rawValue == "") + (Row3.CheckBox22.rawValue == ""))
     {this.rawValue = "1";}

    I'm new to JavaScript for all advice is appreciated.

    Looking at the conditions, it seems you are trying to say "If column 1 column 2 or column 3, then do something." JavaScript cannot read conditions like that. It's playback "if (column 1 column 2) GOLD (column 3), ' and he doesn't know what to do with this issue of column 3, except if it is 0 or 1.

    Here is an example of use of only two lines and three columns. The rawValues are 0 and 1 for each check box. I have it set so that if column 1 has several checkboxes, then Col1 gets checked. Similarly, the col2 or 3 boxes will be checked if their columns are the most populated. I don't get the opportunity to have several boxes marked if there are two columns that have the same number of boxes checked. (You can do this by just changing > to > = in the conditions.)
