all users and developers ODI > what cause problem wen?

Hello
I also faced the same problem.
Error appeared when I tried to use the temporary interface.
After that adding temporary interface to the new interface as a source and saving and closing this just created interface - had oracle.odi.core.security.PermissionDeniedException exception during the opening of the interface.
Workaround solution - grant to ODI user supervisor privileges.

Kind regards
Oleg

  • Team Foundation Server Issues in the Oracle (ODT) database project

    Hi all

    Developer Dotnet and Oracle, I fortunately came across the ODT.
    Unfortunately, I have some problems in combination with the Team Foundation Server that hopefully someone here, the experts may resolve.

    So, it's the environment...

    Client:
    Windows 7 business
    Teacher of Visual Studio 2010.
    ODT with ODAC 12.1.0.1.0

    Servers:
    Foundation of the Server 2012 team
    Oracle Database 11 g Release 11.2.0.2.0 - 64 bit

    Description of the problem:

    Well, almost everything seems to be working.
    I can connect to my database diagram in Server Explorer, edit and save back views, functions, packages,... and save them to the server.
    I can create a new "project database Oracle" in Visual Studio.
    Now, I right click and select "generate the Script to create project". This also works very well. Points of view or anything else I clicked are added to the Oracle database project.
    Finally I select 'Add to Source code control' and the whole solution and any addition of scripts are archived as you wish.
    I can now change, automatically checked it as used in th IDE of VS.
    Works perfectly so far...

    But now I have problems to add new scripts. It makes me crazy.
    I right click again on a new view, etc. and select "Generate the Script to create project". The script is added to the same Oracle database project.
    The project file is also removed, because it now has a new added file. BUT the same script file will not be added to the source control.
    And worse yet, I'm not easily able to add the file manually in the context menu of the command "Add to source control" or something similar.
    The only way is to open windows Explorer, move to the previously added script file and add it to source code control using power tools shell extensions.
    I can't imagine that this is the way planned to add additional scripts to the ODP.

    So is there anyone around who can tell me how to solve this problem?

    Best regards
    Martin

    Hi Martin,

    I have recently come to know that there actually is a bug very similar to the old version of Oracle development tools.

    It is fixed in the latest version (12.1.0.1.2 or later).

    When you get a chance, please try it.

    Thank you

    Christian

    No idea where and what the problem is?

  • convert oracle.jbo.domain.number in full

    Hello

    I use jdeveloper 11.1.2.4.0

    Can anyone help on how to convert the oracle.jbo.domain.number in full?

    Kind regards

    Steve

    New Integer (some_number.intValue ());

  • Java.lang.Integer cannot be applied to oracle.jbo.domain.number

    Hi all

    Jdev Version: 11.1.2.3.0

    Platfor: Windows 7

    I'm trying to implement sequences and followed the following ADF essentials to create the same. For some strange reason, I meet, it throws the error of compilation as below.

    [http://download.oracle.com/otn_hosted_doc/jdeveloper/11gdemos/ADF_Insider_Essentials/ADFInsider_sequence/ADFInsider_sequence.html]

    Steps to follow:

    1. create the DepartmentsEO

    2. has generated the Impl class for departments with accessors and Create method

    I wrote the following lines in the method Impl to create files and get the error like setDepartmentId (java.lang.Integer) in eo model. DepartmentsImpl can not be applied to the (oracle.jbo.domain.number) *

    SequenceImpl Seq = new SequenceImpl("DEPARTMENTS_SEQ",getDBTransaction);
    setDepartmentId (seq.getSequenceNumber ()); *

    Please help me!

    Thank you

    Hello

    What Type of Map you selected when creating components trade?

    Make sure it is Oracle. Looks like you have selected the Type of card Java takes DepartmentId column as Integer.

    It takes so you must import the oracle.jbo.domain.Number class

    setDepartmentId (numeric value)

    Recommendation: Create business components again with card Type Oracle.

  • EL expression that is evaluated to oracle.jbo.domain.Number

    Hello world

    I have a problem passing a value of oracle.jbo.domain.Number in a workflow, when you try to type in a literal, for testing purposes.

        </taskFlow>
      </executables>
      <bindings/>
    </pageDefinition>
    When I type #{'7333177'} for the idSosBrwBdgPer parameter I get
    Cannot convert the type class java.lang.String 7333177 to class oracle.jbo.domain.Number

    When I type #{7333177} for the idSosBrwBdgPer parameter I get

    Anyone know the good EL for that to work?

  • ODI - read CSV file and write to the Oracle table

    Hello world

    After 4 years, I started to work again with ODI, and I'm completely lost.

    I need help, I don't know what to use for each step, interfaces, variables, procedures...

    What I have to do is the following:

    (1) reading a CSV file-> I have the topologies and the model defined

    (2) assess whether there is a field of this CSV file in TABLE A-> who do not exist in the table is ignored (I tried with an interface joining the csv with the TABLE model a model and recording the result in a temporary data store)

    Evaluate 3) I need to update TABLE C and if not I need to INSERT if another field that CSV exists in TABLE B-> if there

    Could someone help me with what use?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi how are you?

    You must:

    Create an interface with the CSV template in the source and a RDBM table in the target (I'll assume you are using Oracle). Any type of filter or the transformation must be defined to be run in the stadium. (you must use a LKM for SQL file and add an IKM Sql control (it is best to trim them and insert the data when it cames to a file if you want after this process, you may have an incremental update to maintain history or something like that).)

    For validation, you will use a reference constraints in the model of the oracle table: (for this you need a CKM Oracle to check constraints)

    Then, you must select the table that you sponsor and in the column, you choose which column you will match.

    To article 3, you repeat the above process.

    And that's all. Pretty easy. If you do not have the two tables that you need to use your validation that you need to load before loading the CSV file you need valid.

    Hope this can help you

  • The Oracle trace: number of physical reads of the signifier of disk buffer

    Hi all

    Since yesterday, I was under the impression that, in a trace file Oracle, the "number of physical buffer of disk reads" should be reflected in the wait events section.

    Yesterday we add this trace file (Oracle 11 g 2):

    call the query of disc elapsed to cpu count current lines

    ------- ------  -------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ----------  ----------

    Parse        1      0.00       0.00          0          0          0           0

    Run 1 0.04 0.02 0 87 0 0

    Get 9 1.96 7.81 65957 174756 0 873

    ------- ------  -------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ----------  ----------

    total 11 2.01 7.84 65957 174843 0 873

    Elapsed time are waiting on the following events:

    Event waited on times max wait for the Total WHEREAS

    ----------------------------------------   Waited  ----------  ------------

    SQL * Net message to client 9 0.00 0.00

    reliable message 1 0.00 0.00

    ENQ: KO - checkpoint fast object 1 0.00 0.00

    direct path read 5074 0.05 5,88

    SQL * Net more data to the customer 5 0.00 0.00

    SQL * Net client message 9 0.01 0.00

    ********************************************************************************

    We can see that the 65957 physical disk reads resulted only 5074 direct path read. Normally, the number of physical reads from disk is more directly reflected in the wait events section.

    Is this normal? Why is that? Maybe because these discs are on a San have a cache?

    Best regards.

    Carl

    direct path read is an operation of e/s diluvium, is not just to read 1 block

  • oracle.jbo.domain.Number, round() method to change the type of data returned?

    Hi all

    When I tried to round the value to oracle.jbo.domain.Number, it returns data of type oracle.sql.Number. Please see the following code snippet:

    Number unitPrice = new Number (9.95);

    Number of numOfRet = new Number (5);

    Total = (unitPrice.multiply (numOfRet)) .multiply (1.05) .round (2);

    The third line can not compile because the round() method returns a data type of oracle.sql.Number, which generates the compile error. If I put a guy up there, it works. When I checked the javadoc, the method has a number of return type. But it says in the details of the description of the method, it returns a Java int. Can I ask is there something wrong here? You can find the javadoc here: number (Oracle ADF business components API Reference 10.1.2 areas)

    Thank you

    Sheet

    Order to understand, the problem is that the round() method returns a number, but a NUMBER data type.

    NUMBER public tour (int decimal_place)

    Therefore, cast to the number.
