• How to read the multiple slave devices in a RTU modbus RS485 2-wire network without changing slave address manually?

  Currently, I can read data out of multiple using the attached VI DAQ devices by manually changing the address of the slave on the front panel that determines what slave to read the data. However, I want the VI to do it automatically for me instead of me manually by clicking on the buttons on the front panel to change the address of the slave. In other words, the VI should read data off devices 3 slaves and save them to a database of all the 1 second (sampling from 1 sec interval). I tried to use the structures of the case, timed sequences and delays, but I'm still not able to get what I wanted. My current VI is a modified version of a VI library modbus - 'MB series Master query read input registers'. No idea how to do this?

  IM pretty new to LabVIEW, so don't kill me if im away here

  Could replace the cluster 'Series settings' with the attached structure solve this problem?

  The real deal will be just the value back to the default (1).

  Using ActiveX I managed to copy a Word document template required sections (tables/images NOT text) to the Clipboard. I checked this manually by pasting the Clipboard into a new word document.

  However, I need programmatically paste the contents of the Clipboard at the end of a word document, but cannot find a way to set the cursor position to the end of the word document ready to paste using activex. Does anyone know how to set the position of the MSWord cursor at the end of the document using ActiveX?

• How to read the 16 bytes directly from the Modbus?

  I got problem about the modbus register.

  Means I have call serial No. Which is given the address of 5000 and series not is 16 bytes and each has high and low-bit bytes.

  When I call using Modbus, so I can read the only first two bytes of address 5000 (4 bits) can you guide me please how I can read my serial No. bytes. Directly using modbus.

  Maybe I'm not good enough explanation so here I have attached a diagram that redbox right side indicate serial no.which I gave.

  It's basic Boolean math.

  Read the byte.  If you want to determine the value of a particular bit, you AND another value.  For bit 0 AND it with 1 for bit 1 AND 2.  ANDing with 128 will give you the value of bit 7 (bit 8 and higher).  If the result is 0, then the bit is set to false.  If the result is > 0, then the bit is true.

  Even easier is to take the number and convert it into a boolean number table function Boolean Array in the palette of the Boolean.  Then, you can index the particular Boolean you want from the table.

  Here's how to use the Vista startup repair disk. is NOT a Vista reinstall disk.

  Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

  Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

  At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

  When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

  I used (free) cutepdf and Nitro PDF Pro in both Office 2007 and Office 2010 and you haven't noticed the problem you mention, but I didn't have the need to compare the results of Word with the pdf regarding my purposes the output pdf has been fine.

  the 7604 can limit the current to a value that is selectable by the user and you can activate the current reduction if the axis is stopped, but there is no way to read the current engine. If you want to measure the motor current, you must do it with an external device, but due to the current chopping and multiphase, motor control stepper motors is not a trivial task. Micro step mode the current phase looks like a rough sinus with lots of harmonics signal, so you will need to do a true measure requiring RMS of expensive measurement equipment.

  Anyway. If you need to know the temperature of the motor you should better measure the temperature directly. The most inexpensive device OR do is the NI USB-TC01, but there are many other options available.

  If this isn't a question about programming, but on the material and I need advice!

  For my experience, I have a usb-6008. The problem is I pt100 3 that I need to read and of course the usb-6008 work very badly because he does not read the resistance, but the tension and so I find myself with ridiculous in my readings of temperature fluctuations, making it completely useless.

  So here's my question, what guys would you use? Honestly, the usb-6008 case is average enough for my needs and work well with everything else I don't except this. I also doubt that my boss would be willing for me to buy a labview $ 1500 digital I/o, so I kinda need a less costly solution. Or maybe there's a way to twist the casing usb-6008 to make do what I want?

  For equipment, you can use NI 9217 and carrier cDAQ 9171:

  4 ch Module RTD 100 ω for USB

  You can also use DC pt100 or, possibly, 4 - 20mA pt100 my , these modules can then be fed to your USB9008. I have not used this particular means, but if you do a search on the web, you will find a lot of similar products.
